I don't know if this is a WO question or an Adobe Audition24 question...When I send a file from AA into WO I use the export function for the sake of expediency. I use save as otherwise. But I run into an issue when saving files in a multitrack session. If I save the session as a new session/same audio, it asks if I want to save the files into the new folder. "Yes" confirms the files are saved using WO Write, then the session crashes, files aren't saved. I don't want to save as WO .wav. I want to save as mp3 or regular .wav. Can you assist?
When I select all and delete in Waveform Editor, it freezes up and I have to undo and delete sections instead. Frsutrating. Has this been fixed yet?
Dear Adobe Audition Team I am an Audition user and I want to provide feedback about an issue I have seen many times When I delete audio in the Waveform Editor and save the file the waveform still appears on the screen even though the audio should be gone I have tried clearing all caches deleting peak files and rebooting but the old waveform image still comes back This makes it confusing because I do not know if the audio is really gone or if the program just does not update the visual display It is especially difficult when switching between the Waveform Editor and Multitrack Editor because file references stay in the session even after clips are removed Suggestions Please add a way to refresh or reset the waveform display after destructive edits Add a button to force regenerate peak files Improve the sync between the Media Panel and timeline clips when files are deleted or changed Add a warning if the waveform image does not match the current audio state System info Adobe Audition 25
After a decade of happily using AA, I'm starting to encounter an issue where after recording something, I'll try to edit, and after a couple actions, the edit window will suddenly freeze up. That is, I can move the cursor but cannot click/select on the waveform itself. Nor will the keyboard respond (can't play audio). I can, however, open and click on menu items. I usually open a fresh track and start over as the issue doesn't occur consistently. Any ideas? Thanks!
I have to think this is a bug. When I edit and save something in Audition, instead of just adjusting the Data Modified and keeping the Date Created (like Izotope RX and XLD do for example), it overwrites the Date Created with the current date/time. I can't have this happen. What's going on?
https://community.adobe.com/t5/audition-discussions/can-no-longer-burn-music-cds/td-p/15279614 also refers to this problem. As I reported there, this is a CD which I have previously burned successfully with an earlier relase of AA. The error message and report which appeared with the release version has been sent to Adobe. The Crash Recovery service did "activate" but did not allow burning to proceed on the second attempt. I wonder wherther this is related to the issue of problems when attempting to "Extract Audio from CD"?:https://community.adobe.com/t5/audition-bugs/extracting-audio-from-cd-in-audition-crashes-the-program/idi-p/15269725. Latest AA log file is attached.
Hello. I am using Auditon 2025 and am no longer able to save or export projects. I am getting this error for the first time: An error occurred when saving the file to disk. The destination may be full or no longer available. Would you know how I can fix this? I am thinking it has something to do with disk space. But not sure how to proceed or even find the folders on this mac.
I'm using the same settings, cd's and drive as i've used successfully in the past.this just started happening. everything is the correct filetype, everything is up to date.
I've opened Audition 2025 on my iMac OS (Sequoia Version 15.3.1) only to find (or not!) that I no longer have a 24.0 or 25.0 folder in my files. So - there are a number of projects that have just gone. Thankfully, the final exported files are safe somewhere else on my system - but the projects and associated files have gone, as though they never existed. There isn't a project that is empty when opened, or a project that has audio files greyed out - the folders just aren't there. They *were* there on Monday, as I was checking them ahead my working week - but they've gone now. Any help or suggestions as to where they might have gone? Or where I might find them?
Last week I was able to select all (control-a) and then simply hiot delete and the waveform would be gone. Now it stays on screen until I hit record. Is this a new thing I have to get used too or is there a fix??
I'm on Windows 11 with the latest Adobe Creative Cloud and Audition version 25.2. For almost 10 years I have been following the same steps for a weekly project I have: I import the raw audio, I add compression, do whatever edits I need, and export the file. I have always been able to hear the compression effect as soon as I apply it in the effects rack. Now, the audio stays at the raw volume it was recorded at until I export the file. Even the levels don't change but the exported audio is definitely compressed and loud enough. This hasn't been a huge deal but on larger projects with many more steps, I can see it being a huge pain. How do I go back to what it used to do?
Saved wav file (info says data is all there) opens in Adobe Audition but there is no wave form and no sound, though markers are there, meta data is there. I press play and it runs but obviously no sound. I am at the very end of recording a 15 chapter book in Adobe Audition. This is the last chapter doing this, when I tried to open it. Every other chapter opens just fine. Anyone know how to recover/restore this file??!
Hi there!!! I faced a problem with the latest version of Adobe Audition 2024. I'm sending a sequence from Premiere to Audition (sending the video as rendered), when Audition starts, it very long to process import files (I've tried Adobe Audition 2023 23.6.1.3 and goes faster), then when I working in Audition in multitrack and lose the focus then reverting it again, Audition stuck and video doesn't responding for a 1-2 mins and then all becomes all normal. I also tested with Adobe Audition 2023 23.6.1.3 and there's no such problem with losing the focus. So 23.6.1.3 works better, but I'd like work in new versions. Maybe that problems is on my side? Could you help me with that? Thanks!!!
I am using Audition 2025 on a Windows 11 laptop. I recently just spent a week of time on imaging a bunch of legal ID's and sweepers in a session. I was able to mix down the session and save all the pieces as individual files, but When I opened the session the next day, all the files are in the multitrack session, but a lot of them show no audio. In addition, when I try to play back the audio that shows audio on the track, there is no sound coming out. I've checked hardware settings, made sure nothing was muted on the audio inputs or outputs, checked the audio channel mapping, tried relinking the media to the files and nothing has worked. I checked the backup folder to open a previous session and it does not have any backups saved from previous days. Only the day I first started the session. Nothing is uploaded on Adobe Creative Cloud which is supposed to occur once sessions have been completed.. Other sessions I have opened up are working just fine. Has anyone else experienced th
Am using Audition on Windows 10 PC. Have saved other Audition Files, but with the podcast template it will say the target directory is not writeable, despite other files already being saved here. Is there a way to solve this?
when i try to export my audio as multi-track mixdown, i can't hear my own voiceover recording. My own voice over is removed entirely and i can only hear the soundbite audio. I tried the audio hardware mapping and the settings, but when i recorded and exported it again, i couldn't hear my own voice. For hardware settings, i set mine at IO buffer size 64 and sample rate 44100 With machine specific device defaults turned off
To save time, I have a simple 2-track stereo file saved as 'Audition Record' to quickly set up a record session. I open, record, rename, and move on. In the last couple of days, the file hangs up when I attempt to open it. In fact, it hasn't successfully opened before I am forced to exit the session to get some work done. This file sits in a temp folder on my desktop. My workaround has been to open a different file in that temp folder (of a successfuly recorded file), rename it, record, and move on. Any idea what's going on? This has just popped up as an issue.
Working on a Mac OS 15.3.1. Happens on Mac Studio, iMac, and Macbooks: Our compnay has us working on external SSD drives to store our files.Anyone else noticing in the last few updates (End of 2024/Beginning of 2025) major lag issues when working with projects on external SSD drives? Audition seems to be the most effected, but Premiere has issues as well. A task that used to take a split second, is now taking many minutes. Recording is almost impossible. I have to drag the project to my desktop and work from there. Then drag it back to store it.Mostly wondering if this is an Adobe issue, or maybe something on our Macs, but it's happening to all Mac's using Adobe Cloud.
Hello all, Whenever I attempt to configure a Rack Effect, the popup window shows solid black, with no way to access the effect configuration. This happens both in existing sessions and when I create a new session file. How can I get past this? App: Audition 25.0.0.47OS: Windows 11 ProOS Version: 10.0.26100
No matter what I do, a few of my RX plugins appear like this, where a lot of the important bits are cut off. I'm in conversation with the team at Izotope, but just wanted to check in here in case it's an Audition thing. Also Audition keeps crashing, which is suuuuper unfun. There's also been a lot of (I BELIEVE) latency or sampling issues that, no matter how I try to fix in the hardware section by matching the sample rate, make my audio sound like slow and crackly garbage but then exports fine. I've uninstalled and reinstalled all software involved, and still no luck. Help would be much appreciated.
Recently, Audition has stopped allowing me to reorder the effects in any multitrack effects rack. When I try to drag an effect to a new ordering position the arrow cursor turns into a cicle-with-line-through-it and the effect won't move. There are no other limitations in the project (other than the bugs that I reported about years ago and are still not fixed).
I Tried to export multiple wav files in batch process. One of the files is (bica_6b.wav).Unfortunatelly the result file (bica_6b.mp3) has some glitch, that I think it was some fragments from another snippet (from the next file; bica_6d.wav) This occurs several time with differents projects and on random files. Version of the app is 25.0.0.47 Build2. Platform and OS version is Windows 10 Pro 22H2 OS Build 19045.54873. Basic steps to reproduce the problem:Drag multiple wav file to batch process, activate or tick the export option and run with no favorite or effects applies. I attach the screenshot of my Export Settings.4. I expected the result audio should be without any change or glitch, but the actual result has some glitch that suspectedly is cuts or fragments from the other file.
It's very common for me to hear certain sounds looped in the playback. Many times I have to close the program and reopen it to get rid of these looped sounds.
I am on Sequoia 15.3. Ever since the update to Sequoia it takes much longer to open Audition, and very much longer to open a relatively small project with 3 small audio files. I timed it and from clicking on File/Open it took about 1:43 to open that file.
I have some presets for a multitrack... i edit and its good... then i mixdown and get thisit sounds terrible... not sure why... Audition 24 does not do this, but the new update, 25 does... Ideas?
