I'm using LrC 11.1 on a Windows 10 system with Canon 8-15mm F4 Fisheye USM lens and Canon EOS 5D MKII camera. When processing a CR2 file with Photo> Enhance> Super Resolution the resulting DNG file has a circular negative vigenette applied. I tried with GPU both enabled and disabled with the same results. Camera Raw 14.1 produces a DNG file with the same circular negative vigenette as shown below. If the file is exported to a TIFF file it does not exhibit the vignetting when applying Enhance Super Resoltution. It only happens with raw CR2 files.
Again, again, again and again, this is insufferable, I have already lost count of the times that Camera Raw closes unexpectedly with edited photos and I lose everything, I am sick of losing my job because said program closes without warning , This happens since the last update of CAMERA RAW 14.0.0.950 and Photoshop 23.0.0, I have been working in the same way for 15 years and this has never happened, it closes without warning, suddenly, according to what they say happens to More users and they assure me that they are working on it and that in future updates it will be fixed, incredible in "future updates" from which I deduce that I will have to continue predicting my work and my patience while waiting for several months or more, this does not It's serious Adobe gentlemen. My computer is iMac 27 Retina 5K with masOS Big Sur 11.5.2 with a 4.2 processor - Intel core i7 of 4 cores with 48gb ram and graphics a Radeon Pro 580 8GB
i installed the latest version of Lightroom that was release last week i believe, When i try to import or export some jpg files the program hangs. you can wait for hours and it will not complete. Is anyone else seeing this I have do this test on three windows computers. Has anyone seen this problem? I am running Windows 10 on two machines and Windows 11 on the other.
I used third-party brush presets in Camera Raw, and in the new upgrade the narrow dialog box that comes up to select them is TOO narrow -- it cuts off the names. So, for example, for five presets for brightness brushes from Matt K, all with different names, all I see for them is "MK -DodgeBurn Bright..." - the identifiers for the different styles are not visible. This is the case even if expanding Camera Raw to full screen. The box remains narrow. The only fix, it would appear, is to rename all my presets to fit in the available skinny space, which is ridiculous. I'll get used to the overall changes, but please - FIX THIS. Wasn't an issue before the upgrade.
A few months ago I updated all of my adobe apps. They collectivley stopped working, crashing as soon as I launched them. So I went back to the previous version, and they all worked just fine. Photoshop though had a few bars that were transparent, but I was fine with it. I decided to ask a tech guy if he could fix that and he did. Everything went smoothly until two days ago - everytime I try to work on a picture the app crashes. I removed it and re-installed it, making sure it was the version that is supported in the long term. I also tried the suggested procedure when the app crashed, looking for bad fonts, checking whether it was a GPU problem or a plug-in issue but nothing seems to work. What can be causing this issue?
The update introduced, and set as default, a version 2 lens correction profile for the Canon RF24-240 lens which causes the Raw image to display incorrectly by showing an area outside that of the matching camera Jpeg which is blurred and distorted (I have only found this for images shot at zooms of 38mm upwards). This region can of course be cropped out as it is not part of the intended image. Reversion to the previous profile removes the problem.
This TIF file downloadable from this link below was saved with Photoshop 23.0.1. We cannot open it back into Photoshop 23.0.1 unless we set the Camera Raw Preferences to "Disable TIF Support" under File Handling. https://skyfile.sharefile.com/d-scfe838c840c74f6a8dc217cd163a2630
See this screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/Wia6xSn.jpgIt's a 400% close-up of an .orf raw file. Note the indicated area (and elsewhere) where 2x2 pixels are nearly the same colour and produce blocking artifacts. Lightroom version is 6.6, image was only imported with no additional adjustments.Edit: Capture One and Olympus Viewer don't have the same problem. Here's a screenshot from Olympus Viewer: http://i.imgur.com/n3QXKJl.png
I'm working on digitizing film on a copystand with the camera aimed down, so the photos tend to be rotated every which way. With the new ACR update today, it appears to be keeping my my edits but will not keep the rotation change. I've even tried rotating in Bridge but it doesn't keep the rotation once I open in ACR. Anyone else have this problem? ACR is version 14.0.0.950 Bridge is version 11.1.1.185 Windows 10 Enterprise version 21H1
the first image is not in full screen mode. the second image is in full screen mode. photoshop CC has been running fine for me for a long time. ever since this new most recent update, the camera raw filter window has been larger than my computer screen. at first, it was super wide. i hovered my mouse over the edge of the window and i brought it in as far as it will go. i tried using the full screen option, but half of the histogram is cut off. the smallest available size for that camera raw window is still too big. is there a way to make it fit on my screen like it did last week and before? running windows 10 by the way.
When using the select subject in the mask on this image it is not completely selecting the two main subjects. on both the head is missing. one arm is missing. and the shoes on subject two are also missing.I think this function could have some improvements also alter edit afterwards would be nice.
Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone can help me with this bug. 1. Using lightroom classic, or Adobe Camera Raw in Photoshop CS6 or Photoshop CC 2021 2. Windows 10 3. Slide the "shadows" slider in parametric curve and observe shadows and histogram 4. Expected result - from left to right shadows get pushed uniformly into the blacks. Actual result - at certain points shadows abruptly reform, unnaturally losing detail, as seen here: https://youtu.be/QrYbNXMl4LQ This makes it very difficult/sometimes impossible to adjust blacks properly. I've already tried every combination of "use GPU for..." in camera raw preferences and fully updated each app. Thanks for any help!
Canon R5 RAW images are underexposed by 1.5 to 2 stops when imported into Lightroom.
Both Photoshop and Lightroom Classic seem to have difficulties handling the RAW image (.CR3) files from my Canon EOS R5 with RS 24-240 f4-6.3 IS USM lens, primarily when I am using that lens at 24mm focal length. Both the Adobe apps show significant distortion in the images and still have quite noticeable distortion even after using optical correction using Adobe's lens profiles. I have my camera set up to produce both the RAW (.CR3) files as well as .jpg versions. The Canon .jpg files do not show any of the distortion that I see in both Lightroom and Photoshop. When viewing the RAW (.CR3) files in Canon's Digital Photo Professional they also do not have the distortion seen in Lightroom and Photoshop. I could provide copies of a sample RAW file along with .jpg files from the camera and generated from Photoshop both with and without the optical lens correction if you would like to see what I am talking about. Thanks
Since updating to ACR 13.3 if I have multiple dng files open and I am pressing Shift a window pops up with "Analyzing image" very briefly and all basic setting names change to Auto. The problem is that I use shift to select multiple files in the filmstrip, but the window that pops up stops me from doing that in my normal workflow if I don't do it extra slow. I reverted back to 13.1 and the shift key behaves normally again, no interruptions. Windows 10 with Bridge 11.0.2
I updated to Lightroom 10.3 (from LR9.4), and when I did so the colors in my images changed and have taken on a green/yellow cast. The image on the left was exported from LR10 and the image on the right from LR9. Absolutely nothing changed in any of the settings. All of the images in my LR10 catalog now have a similar green/yellow tint. Has anyone experienced this and is there something I can do to fix it?
Hello, I recently identified a problem where let's say I have 10.000 images in queue for export it does the job fine but sometimes it fails to recognise my drive for a second. Now the failure isn't the problem but what is the problem is that Ik keeps going and just skips the files. and then starts again when it has regained access. It would be really great that if the files can't be found it would either pause or keep trying until it regained access because I end up losing files in batches of 100.000 which are sequences and identififying where something went wrong is a real pain in the asss.
Black window in the pop-up Camera Raw window when trying to use new function and imossible to know if Enhanced function runs or not.
This is a bug that's persisted since 13.1, as far as I can tell. When using the adjustment brush (k) near the edges of the image frame, the cursor changes from the brush size to the "window resize" curser. Unclicking and reclicking the to use the brush brings the brush size back...but then it happens again. Here is a video of the problem:
The Image Processor script needs to updated in order to work properly with cameras that have been introduced since the script was written.Specifically, in order to use Open first Image to apply settings, the proper extension needs to be present in line 115. For example, in order to use this feature with Sony cameras, one needs to add the .ARW extension at line 115. If the proper extension is not present then the camera raw dialog does not open in order to make adjustments to the first image.
ACR 13.2.0.738 Mac OS 11.2.3 To replicate: 1) Open 5 images in ACR 2) Select the crop tool (c) and crop an image 3) Select edit (e) 4) Select zoom, fit in view. 5) Check global zoom settings 6) Select next image 7) Select previous image 😎 Reselect next image 9) Select previous image 10) Note how zoom setting changes from "fit" to whatever the zoom setting is for the cropped image. This is a bug. ACR 13.1 did not do this. ACR 13.1 "retained" the "fit in view" setting regardless if an image was cropped or not when selected and the view setting was "fit in view" and "global zoom settings" was checked.
Leica has recently introduced a firmware update for their current M10 rangefinder camera series, the M10-P, M10-R and M10 Monochrom. This uses the camera's level sensors to add metadata that Lightroom can use as guides for automatic perspective correction on the raw files. It is a really nice and useful function. This works beautifully for the M10-P, and I believe (but without personal experience) the M10-R. But I cannot for the life of me persuade it to work with the M10 Monochrom. The function is working fine in the camera but LR refuses to play ball. This is very frustrating, specially as all the PR guff talks about it being developed in collaboration between Leica and Adobe. Is it a develpoment that hasn't made it into the outside world yet for the Monochrom, or is it a bug? ACR in Photoshop is exactly the same as far as I can see - works as expected with the M10-P but not the Monochrom.
Big Sur is killing my iMac photoshop experience. Freezes hard each and every time I try to use Camera Raw and Bridge then restarts the machine. The only thing I can do in Camera Raw is click open. It will not let me adjust any image without freezing instantly and then restarting the computer. Bridge is completely useless and does zero after opening except crashing the OS and restarting the computer all over again. Photoshop is working fine now. But at first it was giving me the dreaded spinning beach ball every time I tried to use any tool. But that seems to have worked out now and is working just fine. My computer has 32 gigs of ram and a 3.2 intel processor and over 1 TB of free hard drive space. It is the old school spinning platter type of drive. Which after updating too Big Sur was really working hard even when at sleep for awhile but that seems to have worked itself out as well.
Hi, My Photoshop Version : CC2021 21.1.1 Camera Raw Version : 13.1.0.658 Issues : Color Mixer is not Expanding. Details: Color Mixer could not expand and automatically collapse when 'Edit panel behavior' option is changed to 'Responsive' in Preferences if Color Mixer mode is 'ALL'. Here is the Video
Nikon Z6 bugs only. Interestingly Nikon Z7 raw files don't have these issues. Nikon SDK for both cameras was released and updated on the same date, 18/11/18. Is Adobe Lightroom perhaps using Z7 SDK for Z6?1) Nikon Z6 raw files are rendered incorrectly. Unlike Z7 the Z6 RAW presets do not carry over.2) Adobe WB for Z6 is broken. WB Auto has a huge magenta cast, other Adobe WB presets have huge color shifts rendering files useless.3) None of the Nikon Z-series lens corrections are correct. If lens correction is enabled the lenses are recognized as incorrect lens models.
