Since the beginning of Adobe CC, I've been using Libraries to set brand colors for clients and quickily select those colors as I make new shapes/text/etc. It seems as though since the latest Photoshop update (with support for Apple's M1 Chip) the ability to pick a Library color swatch and see a live preview of the shape change doesn't work. What used to be an easy process now seems to be completely...gone? Is this a graphics performance issue with the M1 Chip? Is there some new random button toggle I have to click to make this work like it used to (one of Adobe's favorite hobbies)? How it used to work: You could select the shape (also worked for text layers) you wanted to change the color on. With the shape selected, you could pull up a Library and select one of your saved color swatches. And this would automatically change the color of the shape on the artboard. How it works now: You have to first select the Library color swatch to chan

Latest version of Photoshop. If I turn off the transparency shapes layer in the layer style of the folder, and then restart the PSD file, the transparency shapes layer is checked on.I have confirmed that the problem occurs with "Color Dodge" and "Linear Dodge" folders.
"Open Recent" list does not always show the most recent file
Photoshop: Lighting Effects does not work directly after upgrade in PS 21.0. macOS and WindowsFurther to the last updating of PS 21.0.0, this filter does not work any more.None of the allowing cursors of it was changed not function, it is a huge decline since PS 20.x where he worked very well on pictures 8 as well direct bits as in smartobject!Workarund : Priorities, performances, it is necessary to check legacy Priorities, to restart PS, to test the filter, then they will be able to come back in priority by default which is this shot hut, they restart PS and my time, to me this works now correctly.
The title pretty much says it all. Installed 22.4 on Windows 10 today, and all the docking icons for third-party extension panels, plugins, and even Adobe's own Plugins panel are missing. Totally blank. The plugins listed inside the Adobe's plugins panel have their corresponding icons, but the docking icons for when these items are in a panel dock are gone. The docking icon for the Adobe Color Theme's panel is also missing. There may be others. I've not checked every Adobe panel. An icon-less panel dock is not very useful.
If I add a Save As step in an action using the Insert Menu Item command the action is treated as Save a Copy. When the action is run the As a Copy option is checked and must be unchecked each time the action is run. There appears to be no way to add a Save As step to an action.
Hello, I wonder whether someone can help. I upgraded to CC2020 the day it was released, and I am finding that when I navigate to place a file from within PS or AI, the files are grey out out. They are actually accessible if I click on them, and I have found that if I right click, the files revert to normal, but it is annoying. I have added a photo of how this looks, and how it should look - it is probably just a setting somewhere, but I am stumped. Thanks for your help...Emma
I had a layer ("Layer 1") with an adjustment (using clipping mask) ("Adjustment 1"), which I hid - and that greys out the "eye" of that adjustment and does not affect any layers beneath Layer 1.However, under that layer is another layer ("Layer 2") which I decided to export. However when I exported it, the "Adjustment 1" seemed to have affected "Layer 2", even though its technically hidden.Hopefully you can reproduce this. I believe it is a bug, and I am just reporting it - I hope I am in the right place.
In Photoshop, clicking "3D - Get more content" used to take you to a site with materials compatible with Photoshop. It now takes you to the Adobe 3D site https://www.adobe.com/uk/creativecloud/3d-augmented-reality.html which is fine as an advert for the 3D subsription packages but useless as a means of getting content for Photoshop (the SBSAR format is not compatible). I reported this bug over two years ago and it got confirmed, it's STILL not fixed. "Nearest Neighbour" scaling does not work as it should when applied to a video file in Photoshop. I think its time for another "Just do it", where Adobe actually focus on fixing problems that's been around for YEARS! That goes for their other software as well. It's just getting incredibly frustrating when us users feel like we are being ignored and new features/problems are added without ever fixing the old ones!
I have a Photoshop file that I'm trying to Export As to an SVG file. I get all the way to the save option, but then it just sits in an endless processing loop. I can't figure out how to get this file to finally export as an SVG file. I've reduced the image size in Photoshop, then also reduced the image size in the Export As setting. This file just won't finish exporting. What can I do to get this to finally work?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrFkrDoxjZo&feature=youtu.be PS20 / PS21 Brush lag comparison with identical system and program settings! It is unusable. Finder latency, brush lag. What a crap! Any idea... It does not deal with brush smoothing (deactivated), it does not deal with GPU (iMac Pro with 120 GB memory and Vega Graphiccard) and it does not deal with cache, as both documents are opened just right before. Test with identical brush strokes, color, transparency and speed. Such a mess... PS 20 PS 21
If the toolbar is between the ruler and the destination of a vertical guide, the guide lags *very* slowly behind the cursor, and the beachball spins while the guide crawls towards the point where it's dragged. Dragging below the toolbar, or moving the toolbar to the right avoids the bug. Mac, not unique to one machine.
This issue was originally posted months ago, but nothing has happened. My post was moved into a 5 year old issue and forgotten all about, so I'm gonna keep posting a new one every few weeks until it has been fixed. CMD+V does not work in the naming input field in Save for Web / Save Optimized As dialogue box. In order to paste a name I now have to manually select the standard file name using the cursor, being careful not to select the file extension, right click and select Paste. Only then does it work. When you're resizing and saving hundreds of files this way it takes A LOT of extra time.
I recently upgraded to PS CC 2020, and I'm frustrated by what appears to be a change in the behavior of the Eyedropper tool. I'm used to frequently using the Alt- key with the Brush selected to activate the Eyedropper and quickly select a color from a different document window within Photoshop. But now, in 2020, a click from the Eyedropper tool will most of the time switch the focus to the window that I clicked in, This happens whether I have the Eyedropper tool selected or am using Alt. Except that the behavior is not consistent... sometimes (rarely) the focus stays the same, and sometimes it quickly flashes back and forth. The fact that the behavior is inconsistent suggests to me that something may be wrong, and that this is not just another inexplicable deliberate change in the behavior of PS tools. Is this a known issue, and is there any fix or workaround for it?
Adobe support people tried to help with this but weren't any help. They told my that the dll Cooltype.dll from the Adobe folder was a Microsoft problem. I don't know why they couldn't actually assist, on loading a PSD file PhotoShop 2020 crashes. They went through every option for GPU and it didn't help. Faulting application name: Photoshop.exe, version: 21.0.1.47, time stamp: 0x5dc286d5Faulting module name: CoolType.dll, version: 5.17.0.44658, time stamp: 0x5d8007faException code: 0xc0000409Fault offset: 0x000000000026c784Faulting process id: 0x29c8Faulting application start time: 0x01d5ae4b62a52e2aFaulting application path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2020\Photoshop.exeFaulting module path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2020\CoolType.dll The only indication they gave was that it was a CRT (certificate problem) I was still confused why they couldn't just install the right certificate. Since this I've had the same Cooltype problem w
Attempts to paint with paintbrush in to a mask results in my effect being applied to large, uncontrollable square area of the canvas, disregarding the brush size and features. Large chunks of image are edited, ignoring the brush settings. Toggling layers on off, moving layers around, using history panel, sometimes corrects this. Sometimes must quit and relaunch photoshop. Occurs often and randomly, making work difficult. The latest in a series of cc 2019 photoshop bugs.
Mac Photoshop 2015 doesn't support Accessibility and VoiceOver in the Export As dialog. This also keeps the new version of Default Folder X from working with the Export dialog.
Directly after installing the PhotoShop 22.2 update I activated the new preset-sync option. The first sync completed successfully. A little bit later, without working in PhotoShop and no open images, my system reported to be short on available RAM. On my MacBook Pro with 16GB RAM activity monitor reported, that PS ist was using 120GB!! RAM. The only solution was to kill PS. Subsequent attempts to deactivate the preset-sync failed with a crash. It didn’t matter whether I chose to keep or delete the synced presets. Meanwhile PS continued to consume more than the available RAM. Had to revert to PS 22.1.2, but have major concerns because the 22.2 Update contains security relevant fixes.
If I make a rectangular selection of an area I'd like to focus on and try to use Liquify tool on that selection, the Liquify window opens, but no matter what brush I use, it won't make any change. This behaviour is specific only for CMYK images, for RGB images everything works fine.I tested Photoshop CC 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019 on Sierra, High Sierra and Mojave. In Sierra everything works as it should, but in High Sierra and Mojave it doesn't.
New bug introduced in Version 22.0.1 on Mac. While transforming the (anchor) reference point can not be moved by holding Opt/Alt and clicking to a new position. The workaround is to move the cursor while clicking on the new position, then the new anchor point appears at the new position. Clicking once is doing nothing.
I use the discover panel exclusively as a commander for quickly accessing filters for which I don't have any shortcuts assigned. In Photoshop 2020 it was possible to type "high pass" and it automatically selected the first entry. Then you press enter and boom you're there. Now the panel doesn't select anything, you need to press the down key a few times to get to the desired result – which is a waste of time and not really intuitive. And by the way you cannot close this panel with pressing escape as the old panel allowed you to do. It seems like there is no keyboard shortcut to close this window? In professional production workflows these little things matter ...
Last update of ps 2020 there are problems with select and mask. Cannot display selection preview. When I select before I go into select and mask it shows right. When I adjust it will not show my adjustments. But when I step out of select and mask, adjustments are made. I have no control over what is selected.
Unpredictably, when moving from my canvas to selecting a new layer, the cursor will behave as if double clicked. This means that when single clicking the thumbnail it will bring up layer properties, and when single clicking the name it will attempt to rename the layer. The issue is difficult to duplicate as it happens at random, but frequently enough to disrupt workflow.I am using fully updated Windows 10 and a Wacom Intuos Pro. This problem does not manifest when rolled back to Version 21.0.3
