P: Program error when saving, lag when zooming, changes not reflecting in document window (macOS)

Since the 22.1 update, MAJOR bugs:

- ‘could not save because of a program error’ when saving, work around: hiding a few layers or folders.

- major lag when zooming in

- actions and changes delay in showing, to the point where they never show up - once I close the document and quit Photoshop and go back in the changes are  visible.

what’s going on??

If I use smart object or any special things I can't safe my project anymore. I need to remove that layer before saving and then it does work. It is very annoying because there is a lot I can't use.

Hi,

I recently downloaded Adobe photoshop 2021 and have since experienced major problems with it.

I downloaded it as part of the creative suite 2021 edition.

I have been having problems saving my work files where it will often come up with the message ' Could not save ( file name) because of a program error.'

I tried to find a solution online and nothing has resolved this issue.

There was a suggestion to go to 'Preference' > 'performance' and then untick the box 'Graphic processor' followed by quitting Photoshop and starting the program again. I did this and managed to save my work or stages of my work, and then the problem arises again.

The other solution I keep seeing online is to uninstall the program, in my case, uninstall the Creative suite and install again.

As well as this error, Photoshop occasionally unexpectedly shuts down mid way through work.

I really need a solution as this is very frustrating and disappointing.

I have included a screenshot of the caption that keeps showing up.

Please could you let me know what I should do and if this can be resolved.

Thanks

Mary

Today I experienced a software error while saving.

I got around it by hiding all layers except the background.

@JeffreyTranberry

Here is a panic report being sent to Apple. This happens only while running the latest PS, so both Apple has a bug and you-all are doing something you probably shouldn't be doing. This is my *third* panic. Again, it only happens while running PS 22.1.0.
