I'm really struggling with Premiere Pro, and I can't figure out what's causing my extreme lag. Even with proxies enabled and my playback resolution set to 1/4 or even 1/8, my timeline is still incredibly choppy—especially in multicam. It’s gotten to the point where I can’t even work efficiently. Presently in Premiere 25.1 using the new Properties panel you can no longer consistently click on the text asset, then with that asset selected change the font size, font color, etc. This worked as expected in previous versions before the Properties panel. You now have to highlight the text you want to change. I was able to get it to work occassionally but not consistently, sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't! However, like in almost every other design application, I should be able to select the layer and make those changes to everything in that layer. It used to work but now it doesn't in 25.1.
Hello everyone,I'm experiencing an issue with Adobe Premiere Pro where my CPU usage reaches 100%, while the GPU remains underutilized (around 35%), even when working on older projects. This has never happened before, and I’m not sure what’s causing it. Premiere Pro should be utilizing the GPU more efficiently, but it's not.My System Specs:CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700XGPU: Gigabyte RTX 3070 (Using latest NVIDIA Studio drivers)RAM: 32GBMotherboard: ASRock B550 Extreme4 (BIOS version P3.40)Storage: 2x SSD in RAID 0OS: Windows 11Details of My Video Files:Format: MPEG-4Codec: HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding)Resolution: 3840x2160 (4K)Bit depth: 8-bitChroma subsampling: 4:2:0Overall bit rate: 25.2 Mb/sFrame rate: 25.000 fpsAudio: AAC LC, 159 kb/s, 48.0 kHz, 2 channelsI never had such issues before, and even on older projects, CPU usage wasn’t this high while GPU remained underutilized. What I've Tried So Far:- Updated NVIDIA drivers (using Studio drivers instead of Game Ready)- Reinstalled Adobe P

Each time I try to use transcribation, it first starts and goes on but then it leads to multiple glitches. This is how it looks: The process of transcribation goes on gradually but I cannot see the progress because Premiere Pro hangs though some its tabs continue to respond. After the transcribation is over, Premiere Pro stays unresponsive, so if you minimize it and maximize again you see this white window: I would assume that it's the video driver but Ctrl+Alt+Win+B to reset it doesn't help. I cannot save the project because when I do that I see this and cannot click any button, ctrl+S doesn't work either: Steps to reproduce: Open Premiere Pro, import several video files (3840 x 2160, 23,976 fps, MP4 H.264 4:2:0), select them all, choose Transcribe. My obserations: this may be happening when this process info window is opened: I tried
We are working on a project that contains a large amount of media being read from a NAS with resonable speeds.Working on a Dell Workstation i9-13900 2.00GHz / 128gb RAM / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Since the inclusion of the auto relink, we constantly have media relinking, even tough paths have not changed. The process takes around 5min a per clip, if not longer and the majority of media is labeled as "PENDING".This is my first experience with something like this as media usually sticks once imported. Why then is is constantly making the media pending? This is definitely a bug. When downgrading the project to Pr 2023, it worked seamlessly, no relinking, but it did have some files offline as well as missing effects, which, due to the size of the project, is not feasable for us.I aslo tried opening the project and letting the relink process run, which took around 4hours... to get to 99%, which is extremely problematic and it is taking away our ability to get work done on the timeline, wh

I've learned a few things since then. Its pretty bad, since I believe this feature is default ON with windows 10 installs. I see the OP also has a 2080ti, I wonder if this card specifically has some sort of bug that just was never addressed. Without fail within a few min of using premiere I get a black screen and a GPU driver crash. This time it was just relinking a lot of media while archiving a project. If someone from adobe could respond I can send more logfiles etc. @Kevin-Monahan do you know who might be a good person to tag in this discussion? Is there something buggy about my specific hardware config

Working on a WebEx Presentation on Premiere Pro (23.2.0) on a MAC. The dowloaded file from WebEx has been imported locally into a bin. I can play the video in the preview monitor, but there is no audio attached with the file after it is placed into the bin. I can play the same file through the media player and it has audio attached to it. Wondering if there is something im not doing right with this file, I have never seen a rendered and downloaded .MP4 act this way before in Premiere. We do have a collegue that has version 23.1.0 that it does somehow play the audio on his computer, so just wondering if someone in the community would understand how to get this audio to play. Also, the files audio is at 32000 HZ before its imported in, we put it through Media Encoder and changed it to 48000 HZ, and it still did not recognize any audio with the file in the preview monitor or even when I put it down on the timeline.
I recently dowloaded the new Version 25.1 of Premiere Pro. Since then my Timeline doesn't play. I can easily scroll with the mouse above every clip and it shows in the monitor but doesn't want to start playing when clicking play.

Randomly (usually on days where I have a ton of editing like today) I am running into issues with premiere skipping and lagging while doing simple tasks. No it's not my computer, and everythign else including after effects runs smoothly on the computer.... But not premiere. This happens randomly about once per month, and the next day everything will work perfectly fine. What is the issue here and how can I make this no longer happen.
Hello,Would love to provide some user feedback as some bugs are to be ironed out. The copy-and-paste function is not working. It is referencing clips previously copied, not new clips you've just copied. Clicking and dragging clips is almost impossible unless zoomed in, as the "fx" button is often clicked. The priority should be moving clips, not activating the FX options. I am a long-time user (10+ years) and a first-time caller.
I'm having a lot of CEP HTML engine crashes. How do you troubleshoot this?
The text in the transcript window sometimes randomly starts skipping up and down. Only thing that helps is restarting the application. The transcribed clips in the timelime are multicam clips of which the audio has been transcribed. If I switch to another timeline in the same project the transcript panel functions normally but the affected timeline keeps having the same issue. Switching between cameras is taking 2-3-4 seconds to process when playback is stopped. 1. I hit play and recording of multicamera edit goes as expected.2. I hit stop and switch camera or extend an edit and Premiere, while being responsive to all other interactions including playback, thinks for several seconds to apply my edit. This is not an issue in 25.0 and slightly better in the latest beta version. Also, the lumetri effect that is applied on the adjustment layer above slows playback drastically. I don't know if this is a bug or not. But every time I maximize the frame under the cursor in the Bin (folder) panel by pressing '`' and minimize it again, the frame always scrolls back up by itself. So if our footage is at the very bottom, we need to scroll down again. That's very annoying. In previous versions of PP it didn't seem to be like that.

Hey Adobe community, I'm trying to turnover the sound to a documentary, using AAF or OMF. I'm working on a windows 11, intel i7-9700, 32 gb ram, and a geforce rtx 2070 Super. I have tried all the different output settings, even the bitrate to export (which I know this isn't going to change the result, but hey I had to try). All the outputs from AAF and OMF result in files that the names are changed. When the sound mixer tries to reconnect in Adobe Audition, it kind find the files because it's totally new names. Any help?Kinda nonsensical that going from Premiere to Audition, would be so cumbersome.
I just updated from Premier 20204 to 2024 and now the program does not regonize the audio tracks on mp4 files. Other video formats work fine and mp4 files work fine outside of Premier. Any project that had mp4 audio tracks are now not connected and when I reconnect them it tells me there is no audio tracks. Whenever import an mp4 file it does not import the audio track. Media encoder still recognizes the audio tracks but even when I export from there premiere doesn't recognize them.
Marker positions are not scaled properly when clip duration is changed: when I add markers to a clip and then add it to the timeline, I expect to be able to snap other clips, or the play head, to those marker points when snapping is enabled. This has worked properly in PP for many years. The problem I have encountered is when the clip is sped up by, for example, changing the speed to 120% in the Speed/Duration dialogue, the marker icons are also scaled and moved to where they should be on the sped up timeline (good), but the actual snapping point in the clip (shown as a thin vertical line in the Source Monitor) seems to have not been scaled properly and becomes offset from the marker. The result is that trying to snap other clips to the marked points in the sped up clip no longer works properly.See the attached image: this is the sped up clip viewed in the Source Monitor. The pink arrow points to my blue marker which is where I want it to be after the speed change. The yellow arrow show
Hi everyone! I need some help! After selecting a portion of the video in Source monitor and dragging it to the timeline, the Source monitor is frozen for 5-10 seconds, only the audio is playing back. This is pretty annoying when I'm selecting hundreds of clips from a shoot and have to wait after every single selection. It wasn't a problem is Premiere 24, only is 25... Yes, I know, I can downgrade, but I want to fix it.I am editing on the M4 base Mac mini, the footage is 4K from Sony a6400 and Fuji XT4, and it doesn't matter if I'm using H.264 or H.265, the problem still persists. Tried with lower bitrates as well and gave Premiere the maximum RAM I could. The footage is on a Samsung T5 SSD. (Opened the same project on a M1 MBP, same version of Premiere, it was okay ... so it might be some optimazition problem on the newer hardware?) Thank you in advance!
