Premiere Pro 2026 Not Responding then Crashing After Moving Files to Another Bin/Folder

So I have updated the Premiere Pro from 25.6.4 to 26.0 and it updated smoothly, then I continued the editing. When I was still in Premiere Pro and decided to move files from one bin/folder to another folder, the software was suddenly not responding then crashing. Well it’s complicated because this happens everytime I reproduce the steps until now. It won’t happen if I do cut/copy then paste, but files can’t use cut feature. Please help me with this case ASAP because this didn’t happen in previous version. Only 26.0 version that causes this issue.

    Hi @Alfian_H

Thanks for submitting your bug report. I’m sorry your Premiere is not responding as expected.  When this happens, does it crash and fully close, or just hang and require a force quit?  Does the option to Send Crash Report to Adobe pop up on restart?

Can you provide more specific steps to reproduce the issue?  Can you make a screen recording of it?  I assume you’ve restarted Premiere, cleared the cache, etc.  We need a few more details to try to help with the issue. Please see: How do I Report A Problem?  Sorry for the frustration, and thanks for reaching out.

I have cleared the cache and restart Premiere. It hangs and freezes, and the only options are to quit or wait. But the wait was very long. I attached the screenrecord to reproduce the issue. The step only drag and drop the file, from one folder to another folder.

    Hi @Alfian_H

Thanks for the video; it's super helpful.  When you say Files won’t sue the cut feature?  What does that mean?  I was able to cut all the file tapes and paste them elsewhere, but I may be misunderstanding.  If you try draggins in a different view, does that make a difference?  How about in the Editing/ Assembly workspace rather than Effects?  Any difference?
