I stumbled upon a post, where someone said you can force Adobe Camera Raw to use either DirectX or OpenGL by editing the crs:gpu_preferred_system="" line in the following file: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\GPU\Camera Raw GPU Config.txt: However, there's a problem with forcing ACR to use OpenGL on my laptop, if I use any version above ACR 11.1. I change the line to crs:gpu_preferred_system="OpenGL", but ACR ignores it and stays on DirectX anyway. I tried reinstalling PS and ACR, manually deleting the file, but it didn't help. I want to use the OpenGL, because it feels way smoother on my system. But here's the catch - I don't have this problem on my desktop computer, only on laptop. Here are the specifications: Desktop computer: AMD FX-4130, 8GB DDR3, Radeon HD 7750 1GB (DirectX 11), Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, Adobe Photoshop CC 2017 64-bit.Laptop: Intel i3-7010U, 8GB DDR4, hybrid Intel HD 620 + Radeon 520 2GB (DirectX 12), Windows 10 v1809 64-b
I am using a high-end AMD desktop. 2700X+32GB RAM. It was getting slow this year. I tried it on a fresh Windows 10 with CC 2019 and CC 2020. When I clicking different photos you can see it takes about 2-3 seconds to load the next photo. They are not 100MP photos, they are just 24MP small RAW files. The same files on cheap Intel laptops are much faster than AMD. Video: The funny thing is. If I am using a portable PS, without lens and color profiles. It runs really fast on my same AMD computer! Look! So I have to say the cracked PS is better than the Real PS?
Quando io installo camera raw in che cartella di destinazione va ? {Thread renamed by moderator}
PS 2020 RawI would like to report that with the help of the community, I have solved my problem of very slow response in Raw in the latest version of PS2020.It turns out, at least in my case, that Acronis True Image had incorporated a featrue to detect unusual activity, and simply disabling this service in my Windows setup solved the hang up.Thank you Adobe for providing me the means to investigate what was a major hang up.Respecfully
Is there a point of contact with Camera Raw that I can help expidite support for the Sony A9 ii? Let me know if i can provide information that will help with this process {Thread title edited by moderator}
I had these for years, some reason don't them or don't work anymore: 1- select all, (says command A, but not working for me)2 - sync setting withou the box coming up. (don't see offered at all anymore) Thanks, MAC
Is it possible to save crop settings in Camera raw like in Photoshop? If not, that would be a wish for future updates.
We are happy to announce the release of Camera Raw & DNG converter 12.1. This update includes new camera and lens support, and bug fixes to some of the top customer reported issues. What’s new To update Camera Raw CC to 12.1, click "Update" in the Creative Cloud desktop app next to Camera Raw. More detailed instructions for updating
For some reason, ACR is no longer saying my system supports graphic acceleration. It was working fine then suddenly it stopped. There was no update to my system or any Adobe app. I'm on Win 10. Here is my graphic card info:
Hi, Bridge acceleration is disabled for Camera Raw performance settings in Bridge. He writes that my system does not support it. (backed up a week ago, worked fine) Other programs like Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom ... etc work properly with GPU processing / acceleration. What could be an agony? As described, my system is supported.
Creative Cloud offers Camera Raw 12.0.1. Is there a offline installer for this release? I only see version 12.0
I have a strange question , A few days ago I updated Photoshop cc (v20.0.2). Now it's telling me that my Photoshop cc ( 19.1.7) needs to up date also? so which version is correct? I did open the 19.1.7 found out its missing many of my brushes, yet they are in the 20.. Now in the (v20.0.2) I've noticed titling when I'm in camera filter raw. very frustrating! In my adobe creative cloud, it's also wanting me to update the bridge CC (9.0.2) & CC (v8.1)So far the Lightroom is up to date. The most important question, am I running two different versions? holy crow! that's a lot of space it's taking!Please help! Especially the titling in raw
Never seen this one before, do minor adjustment to few images and ACR, keeps the unadjusted image side by side as it's own file. Super annoying clutter. what is this? Way turn behavoir off? They both have the adjusted icon which bizarre.
problem brush selection
Hi guys,I m a user of ASUS zenbook 480FL 14" laptop (win 10 x64) with 2 graphic cars (intel 620 and gforce mx250)i have photoshop CC2017 and lightroom 2015 and also adobe camera raw 12. When i open camera raw i have a massive screen blinking only when my laptop is connected to a power adaptor, when i plug off the adaptor everything is fine. Photoshop and lightroom work without problem. I searched everywhere on net and cant find a solution so mabye some of you face this kind of problem.p.s. I tried with other power adapter and same, did all the win10 instructions about flickering and same, reinstall all drivers and all combinations of driver sources and same, i did all the performance settings for graphic card in Ps and camera raw and all the same, when i disable Intel GPU and set only on Gforce blinking is less than before and very interesting when i open task bar to see the performane in photoshop with gforce GPU and put the taskbar above the Ps platform there is blinking during
I'm running CameraRAW version 11.4.1.291. In previous versions when multiple photos were selected and the exposure setting was clicked on the slider, the displayed photo's setting was copied across to all selected photos as it is (+.12 copied to all photos for example). Now when the slider is clicked, the value is rounded to the nearest .05 increment. So the +.12 now changes to .10 and copies across, or +.14 would change to .15 and copy. The temperature slider works similarly (more specific values are rounded up or down to xx50/xx00 degree values. Clicking a slider should not change the setting's value unless it's dragged, no?
Very often when moving a radial filter from it's center dot it will jump to the center of the image, and expand so that the elipse reaches the edges. I have to undo and try again, I'd say it hapens more than 50% of the time, and has been happening for quite a while (many updates past, maybe for the last 6 months or more?). I'm running camera raw 11.4.1.291
I wish to save a Camera RAW setting set using the 2010 Process (now called V2) as the Camera RAW Default. Camera RAW will not do this. For new images it reverts to V5 or (2012 depending on which version of CR) with the point curve, exposure, contrast, and black settings changed to sort of but not very well emulate the 2010 output. Is this a bug? A "feature"? New Defaults stick if the V5 Process is used and I can apply my saved setting set (which uses the 2010 Process), but I cannot save it as the Default. Any suggestions to work around this? I've tested this with Camera RAW 12 and Camera RAW 9.1.1.Thank You.David
Seems ADOBE has no support for their DNG convertor. In any case, recently added the Sony a7RIV and just tried to use DNG Convertor 12.0 to convert RAW files with no luck. Couldn't find if that camera has been added. Had a a7RIII and the 10.? version worked. Any input appreciated. Right now using Imaging Edge Edit, but would like to have the DNG Convertor working...
I can't open some files in ACR. Can't see a pattern. CR2 and DNG files open in ACR, but some Tiffs do not. Reason? Suggestions?Thanks so much!Gene
When I hit "auto" in the "basic" panel or first panel in ACR, my whites and blacks are not anywhere near to clipping and are both always require additional adjustment because of it. I don't expect perfect results everytime but it would be nice to have good results at least some of the time. Is there a way, as there is in Photoshop "curves" and "levels" for me to set custom points for "auto" in ACR?
Check out my first post here【Camera Raw is Super laggy on AMD CPU】https://community.adobe.com/t5/camera-raw/camera-raw-is-super-laggy-on-amd-cpu/m-p/10753299#M284774 Why the portable PS is fast because there are no lens profiles. I went to C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw and renamed the folder. I opened the PS and it was ready fast. I changed the name back and I deleted all the other brands I don't need. The camera raw was slow again. So, is something in here but not the profiles. I started my test again. I rename the C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\Index.dat The camera raw was fast again. In the end, I can tell Index.dat makes the camera raw very slow on my computer. It's been a year. Can you fix it? The videos with or without lens profiles test:
Wie kann man Camera-Profile und Vorgaben aus Camera raw auf einen neuen PC übertragen ?
Hi, I'm using ligthroom classic v 6.0 and photoshop v 20.0.7. Both are not able to read arw files from Sony a9ii. When will the update be out? Thanks
I know I can accomplish the same with the Blue/Yellow slider and the Green/Magenta slider but it sure would speed things up and simplify the process with many images if there where a Red/Cyan slider too when you only are needing to deal with Red and Cyan. {Thread moved and renamed by moderator}
