It's 2 years since the SD1 was first shown, and 1 1/2 years since a family of Sigma bodies using the 15.4/16Mp sensor began to fill out. There are now thousands of DP and SD Merrill bodies out there, and yet Lightroom/ACR still have no support for them. Third party support does exist from one small developer, so it can't be that hard to process these files - please, support these cameras or give a definitive explanation for the lack of support so users can pursue the right angle to get support.
This issue is for CS6. Yes, I know that I can update the camera raw by going to Help and run Update. Yes, I did that successfully, but Photoshop still can't read CR2 and asks me to update it. Then I run Help-Update again and it says there's nothing to update. Yes, Camera RAW is checked as an item to be updated in the setup menu. Please don't ask me to convert CR2 to DNG. I don't like DNG because it has some weak points. Ironically, Photoshop Lightroom 6.14 reads CR2, but why not in Photoshop? I don't use CC version and have no plan to use it. If you have had this issue or if you know how to deal with it, please let me know. Thanks in advance!
Adobe...i spent 2 hours tonight in chat with one of your support staff. he was not helpful at all and in fact left me less confident of a possible solution here. I am not new to adobe programs having used them for many years and processed thousands of photos through them. With the recent update... all my camera raw files (.cr2) shot on my Canon 5d m3 using live view are all being cropped. The terrible thing is that i was comparing what i am able to do in ACR versus the new Luminar 2018 and this program opens the files just fine... no cropping. I have spent hours sifting through all the posts here online and i don't see any answers. i have tried clearing crop and that didn't work as well as many other suggestions. nothing. Please help!!! Hi,I'm having a bit of trouble with Adobe DNG converter.Since yesterday the converter has been applying an odd profile when converting NEF files from my D750, Adjustments to the exposure and white balance are most noticeable, any ideas what's happening and why?Changing the monitor colour profile doesn't make a difference and it's the same result with different versions of DNG converter. Thanks for any help!Nikon D750 - NEFWindows 10 64bit - latest updates applied
After the update to Photoshop 2019 and Camera Raw 11 I have problemes with Camera Raw.When I open a NEF in Camera Raw, there's a lot of distortion.Anybody knows what the problem can be? Thx in advance!
Have ColorChecker Passport profile (DCP file) made for my Nikon D7000. I used it with ACR 9.1.1 in Photoshop CS 6. After switching for new Photoshop CC with new ACR 11.0.0 noticed that it doesn't work. DCP file is in the right folder (c:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\...) but when I'm comparing files opened with old ACR, there is difference.
Before I knew LIGHTROOM I adjusted all my photos in Digital Photo Professional (CR2 files from Canon) and Capture NX-D (NEFF files from Nikon) softwares. It is possible to appliy all my adjustments (around 20 thousand pictures) from DPP and NX-D to LIGHTROOM? Thanks.Richard.
你好,我使用的是photoshop cs6, 打不开cannon 5d mark iv的raw文件急需要解决方案
hello there, i have installed the latest camera raw 11.0 in my mac. When i open the raw image in camera raw, it gives me distortion and the colors are not appropriate. Appreciate your guidance in the same.
Hi allFirst of all, thanks in advance of any help, & secondly, I'm not very tech savvy, so please excuse me. I have used Photoshop Elements 9 for a long time, and it has always served me well. However, I recently switched from a Nikon D7000 to a D7500, not realising that it would make my PSE 9 redundant. I have tried to download the correct RAW converter, but it doesn't work, so I figure I just need to pay some money, and start afresh with some new editing software. Please can you advise which one I need so that I can carry on shooting in RAW, and then I can open the photos easily and process them, just like I've always done?Thank you. 🙂
how can add this XMP files with X signal to camera raw presets?i add it to a setting folder but camera raw cant be recognized it !!!
I have just purchased a new Fujifilm X-T3 & cannot upload the RAF files to Lightroom, I can on my X-Pro2.I have updated the latest versions of Lightroom & mac up dates too, still no luck. Please can any one suggest a solution?ThanksTim
Mac OSX 10.13.1CC 2018Bridge 2018Simple way to show a fail. From Bridge 2018 I load images into ACR 10. From Bridge 2018 I load images into ACR 10. (these can be dng, nef, jpg or tiffSelect AllSelect All and perform a visual adjustment. Ex: Crop or change exposure 1 full stopClick Done.Update Setting begin and then the Error message attached appears.Click OK and the update settings and Generate Previews continues.Everything looks normal but upon closer inspection, one image (either 2, 3, or 4) has not changed.Load it back into Camera Raw and it shows the changes (in this example "Crop" and 1 stop exposure) have been requested.Click "Done" and the same error appears.Go to "Tools->Caches->Clear Cache for this folder" and after rebuild and generate previews everything is fine.I have spoken to Adobe Support for over 3 hours and spent at least that much time on HOLD.They have logged onto my computer 3 times for at least and hour twice and end up saying "A Higher Power" will contact me.
OK, so I open a few DNG files into Photoshop/Adobe Camera RAW, then make a white balance change to all of them and then click Done.I have Update DNG Previews selected in Prefs. Should work fine, BUT if I try to do it to more than one file at a time I get an error message - either "Unable to save the raw conversion settings - there was an unknown error" OR "Unable to update DNG previews - there was an unknown error".The first file in the selection updates, not the others. I can do one at a time no problem too.As a final twist, if I go back and try again with the same files I get the same error BUT the previews actually have been updated.I am viewing the images in Photo mechanic, then opening them into ACR via a Cmd-E. I need the DNG previews to update so I can see my edits in Photo Mechanic.Anyone else seen this? I can't find any references to this problem anywhere.ThxNick RainsAustralia
I have Cannon CR2 files that I'm trying to open in Raw, but I get the standard error message--make sure you have the latest Camera Raw update. I've already downloaded and installed Camera Raw 11. When I open photoshop and look at Camera Raw properties in plug ins, it says 9.1. I'm sure there is an easy and obvious solution that I'm not seeing.
Does anybody know why Camera Raw 11.0.0.61 would case a problem with Bridge 2019 resulting in a photo not being updated and the program not responding.(freezing) ?
In the 2018 version and now in the 2019 version I am having a serious issue where the bottom right of camera raw just stops working, randomly. Clicking on open image, cancel, done, vibrance slider, and saturation slider all cause camera raw to grey out. I can't exit out of photoshop or camera raw and am forced to end it in task manager. Then I have to restart my computer or it will do it again. Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone know how to make it stop?
Hi all, I have recently started re-using and old installation of CS6 ACR to process raw dng files, but it is painfully slow to use. I browse and select the images in bridge with no porblems but when opening them in ACR 9.1.1 It frequently takes several minutes to open the preview of the image, and then a few more minutes before the yellow triangle goes away. Making changes will take ages to refresh on the preview (although the thumbnails will update quickly if more than one image is opened), and often never load at all, until eventually it stops updating completely. If I cancel (or save) the edits and then re-open in ACR I can do a bit more, at the same snails pace until I finish, or it stops refreshing again. The issues get more frequent until eventually they will not open at all I need to close bridge completely and restart. It feels like a memory leek or caching issue.I have installed an even older copy of CS5 on this machine which all work ok, but doesn't have some of the features I
I haven't been able to make this work... yet!I produce lots of 3 image panoramas from images produces from 24mm TSE II lens (Three shifts of the lens which normally merge perfectly with "merge to panorama")Many images I shoot would be vertical shifts of architectural interiors, and a bracketed HDR Panorama would be great.I haven't been able to make this work with any existing images - I get this message... "Unable to detect HDR exposure bracket size. Merge to non-HDR panorama instead?"All I can think of is that the method I use for bracketing isn't correct for this feature... I normally make 3 same exposures (shift up, middle, down) then change exposure and do same again. In the Adobe instructional video <Merge to HDR Panorama in Adobe Camera Raw - YouTube> I can see that each image has been bracketed before moving on to the next shift... is this the secret?BTW I reordered and re numbered images so that they appear to be sequentially bracketed - that didn't work either - perhaps a
Apple's new color profile: Apple Wide Color Sharing Profile (iOS 10). Filter opens a blank box, but Camera RAW through Bridge opens fine.Converting seems to be a work around (See attached.)I am running a Mac with 10.12 Sierra.
This is a bug I think that appeared shortly after upright transformations was introduced years ago. I always just thought it would get fixed on its own, but I figured I'd post it here and hope for the best. I love this feature, but it has issues with multiple selected photos.Anyway —Currently, if you select multiple photos, and then press one of the upright transform options, it will apply a transform based on the selected photo to all of the photos. While this might be useful in unique circumstances, I don't think it's the ideal behavior. Also its redundant since you can use the Sync Settings button if you want to apply the same upright transformation to a selection of photos. But there's no way (that I know of) to go through 100 photos and have automatic upright transformations applied to each individual photo. Here's how I think it should behave:Select 30 photos.Press one of the upright transforms.Camera Raw processes each photo against each individual photo's properties. As mentioned
Hi,Since I completed the new CC update, I have not been able to open any raw files. I am using a Nikon 700 and did not have any issues before this update. I can load JPEGs and PSD files, etc, but raws are not working at all. I have tried to open a few JPEGs as raw files and "Could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file" error is coming up. Please help. I'd really like to start working on my photos again. Thanks in advance
