ACR Prophoto 16 bit vs Photoshop Color settings set at default, not including Prophoto RGB and profiles mismatches enabled. After Raw process the images appear to have a smaller color space when opened in Photoshop.Under Photoshop if the image is opened under camera raw filter, it expands its "color space"It goes back to the reduced "color space" once the raw filter editing ends.Custom Camera Profile with color checker passport at 16 bit with Prophoto RGBWhat needs to be adjusted for "color space" consistency?73
Hello,I have created a number of Lightroom presets that I would like to use in ACR.I can convert the presets to ACR easily enough. But, when I go to save the converted presets as ACR presets, the Gradient and Radial filters don't save with the preset. So when I then go to use the ACR preset, neither the gradient nor the radial filter gets applied and, therefore, the resulting adjustment is different than it would be in Lightroom.I've also noticed that you can save the settings of an individual filter but not actual pinpoints that determine how the filter is applied to an image. Is this a problem or is this the way that the presets in ACR are intended to work? Is there no way to save the Gradient and Radial filters in ACR?And, if this is the way it works, can I ask for an enhancement to add this feature? If Lightroom can save the filters with presets, it wouldn't seem a stretch to expect ACR to be able to do the same.Or am I just missing something and there's a way to save the filters th

I am having issues opening raw files in CS6. I downloaded the camera raw plug in 9.11 (i was told this is the most current/up to date version). Here's what I think is the issue. I have attempted to install the raw plug in at least 20 times. I will go through the process, click finish, then nothing. I click on the plug in again and it asks me if I want to install..... after I JUST DID! I have tried deleting the download all together and then re downloading the plug in about 5 times, no change. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop and restarting my computer. Can anyone help?!! I am at a loss and I really don't want to shoot in jpeg just because of this glitch.
I have a NEF that produces an "unexpected end of file" error in both Lightroom 5.7 and PS CC (both with Camera Raw 8.7). The same NEF loads and converts fine in Nikon's Capture NX-D V1.0.2. The NEF also converts fine into a JPEG using the D750's in-camera NEF processing function. I can provide the NEF to Adobe for analysis.
DNG converter says "There was an error parsing the file" when attempting to convert SRW images from some Samsung models after metadata has been edited with ExifTool. Hi,I've just purchased the Canon 7D Mark II, connected it to my PC, but then found that Adobe Camera RAW doesn't support it yet. Any updates when this camera might be possibly supported?
I purchased an Olympus OM-D Mark II and downloaded Camera Raw plug-in 9.1 onto Photoshop CS6 (on a PC). I now realize that 9.1 is not compatible with CS6. Photoshop CS6 has always been able to download images including raw files from my Nikon D800. Now, CS6 does not download any images from the D800. I have tried to locate the Camera Raw plug-in 9.1 to uninstall it, but it does not appear on the program list to uninstall. Plug-in 9.1 is shown on the plug-in list below Camera Raw 7.0. How do I get rid of Camera Raw 9.1 and go back to the default Camera Raw 7?

Just bought Nikon D7200 yesterday and now find out that my Elements 12 software will not process my images because the Raw Data profile for the D7200 is not in the files...Anyone else hear of this or know how to get the plug-in update ?
Hi, could you please advise when we can expect to see camera raw support for the new nikon D810.Thanks
I just bought the Nikon D750 and my raw files will not open in CC Photoshop. Is anyone else that has this camera experienced this problem? My Photoshop says it is up to date, but I am hoping that since this camera just came out, Adobe will have an raw file update soon.
I'm trying to install Adobe Photoshop Camera Raw 8.5 for CC on OS X. I open the .dmg file and run the AdobePatchInstaller.app. I get "Update Failed. Updates could not be applied. This patch is not applicable for you..." Hmmm. I am using Photoshop CC and I did download AdobeCameraRaw-8.5-CC-mul-AdobeUpdate. Thoughts?
Hello, I am incredibly upset about the removal of the preview button in Camera Raw. It has completely interrupted my workflow. I don't mind the ADDITION of new features for those who make take advantage of them, but the REMOVAL of perfectly good features that many of us are used to using is asinine and if you can't tell I am rather upset about it. Please for the sake of god bring it back.
Anyone tell me how to read a RAF file please?I am using PS Elements 8 and a Fuji X20 with *.RAF files. The PS e8 is fully updated.
I bought a Samsung NX1100 and want to shoot in Raw format. My CS6 Bridge and Photoshop will not open the SRW files though. I downloaded the lightroom 4 that came with the camera and that will not read the SRW files either. How do I access my SRW files?
I just downloaded Camera RAW 8.4 (from here: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5739) and installed it. There's not much to it. No real settings to do in the installer. Yet, it doesn't properly install. Photoshop CC says it's still at CR 8.3, and Lightroom still complains it needs CR 8.4 in order to edit a photo in Photoshop. It's installed, definately. The DNG Converter is working, too.So my situation is this:Windows 7 x64Photoshop CC (with CR8.3, apparently)Lightroom 5.4Camera RAW 8.4 installedAll applications have been freshly updated about half an hour ago.So how do I get Photoshop to use CR8.4 instead of 8.3?
Today I downloaded Adobe's latest DNG converter. It is failing with both .NEF and .CR2 files when run in command-line mode. It does appear to work in GUI mode. The switches+arguments I've used for my tests are: -u -e -p1 filename.CR2 (or filename.NEF) With an older (CS2) version of the converter, the above arguments produce a .DNG output file as expected (with .CR2 files; I didn't try it with D3 .NEF files; surely that older version doesn't support the D3's format). With the very latest version, running the program with the above command produces no output. There's no error message. The 'readme' file that comes with the converter doesn't include any information about command-line usage, but I did find a PDF file covering this (adobe.com/products/dng/pdfs/dng_commandline.pdf). The switches+arguments shown in the PDF file appear to be exactly the ones I used in the past. I'm sure I'll need to use the most recent version to convert D3 RAW files. Is there something wrong with how I'm
I am trying to open files in Camera raw from Bridge but get the following message."Bridge's parent application is not active." Both Bridge and CS5 are open and I have opened camera raw previously.Any suggestions.Cheers
That's it, I Cannot open my NEF files in Photoshop CS6 Camera Raw from my new Nikon D800 camera. What am I doing wrong or what is wrong? I have the plug-in Camera Raw 7. and can open TIFF files but not the NEF files.Peace,Charles Fennen
Hi,I'm helping a friend who is happily using PS CS3 on a Mac with Lion or Lepard. I'm a PC person so I'm not sure what those two names mean. Anyway, he has a couple of newer cameras (a Sony and a Nikon) for which CS3 can't interpret the RAW files. As I understand, Adobe is not providing support in CS3 for new RAW files and my friend does not want to upgrade to a later version of Photoshop CS or CC. So, I suggested the free Adobe DNG converter. In looking at the Adobe specs on the DNG copnverter, it says that it requires Mac OS X 10.6 through 10.8. So, two questions:1) Is OS X 10.6 tru 10.8 the same as Lion or Lepard (I suspect not)2) Is there an "older" version of the Adobe DNG converted I can have him download that is compatible with his OS and has (or can get) the code for recent cameras? Thanks -- Dan
