I'm trying to find the download mechanism that I apparently need to update camera raw to 7.4 in Photoshop CS6 which I just purchased. Please help. I don't know how to do this as I am new to the program and I've tried to find it through the help function but that has not helped at all. I have used my app store update to try to find it and that hasn't worked either. I need more of a step by step. Please advise. Thank you.
I'm working with a new camera - a Sony A77 - the files are formated in a ARW format, but my PS CS5 tells me that it cant read the format. Is there anything I can do - add a plug in, update PS - that doesn't inlove converting the images from the camera to a PNG or JPEG format?
I have photoshop CS6 extended and Bridge CS6 that came with it. When I try to open image files from bridge to edit them in Camera Raw, I get this message: I tried searching for camera raw folder, no results. Apparently it's not even on my computer... Doesen't Camera Raw come with photoshop? Or am I doing something completely noobish? Please help. Thanks in advance,Arty.
When painting with the adjustment brush with a exposure change along a high contrast boundary a halo is created. Eliminating this behavior, or a "halo cleanup" tool would be very helpful. Here is an example: Image is not available
I recently updated Photoshop CS6, Camera Raw plugin to Ver 8.1.0.43 Now for some reason the CR2 images from my Canon 20D will not open. These images used to open just fine in Camera Raw Ver 7. Has CR Ver 8 dropped support for the Canon 20D raw images?
Just tried to open raw files from my Canon 6D in Photoshop CS5.1. An error message appeared: "Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw.Please visit the Camera Raw help documentation for additional information." Is there a simple solution?
Please add camera correction support for the Canon Powershot G1X! It worked perfectly with my G11, and I miss it!
How do I update my Camera Raw from 7.0 to 7.3? I have a Nikon D600 and need to import my RAW(NEF) files for editing. I tried searching the web and found no conclusion. It says to use the 'update mechanism in PS CS6', but I don't know what that means. Any ideas?
How do I sort this problem? Is there a bridge CS5 update for this camera? (I can't find one in Adobe Downloads)Dmecy
I just got a Nikon D3200, but my photoshop (CS5 pro, mac) won't let me open the raw NEF files. I found an update to camera raw on the adobe site tht includes the D3200, but it seems that it's not CS5 compatible. I cannot justify upgrading to CS6 just to get the raw import option. Is there a way to enable D3200 raw files import in CS5?thanks
PS gives message that CameraRaw 6.1 is avaiable, and there´s also an update for Bridge.BUT THE UPDATE WON´T INSTALL, claiming another instance of Update is running. But there is no other instance running!!!I´ve checked over and again, I´ve rebooted, I´ve searched and cleaned the registry, I´ve disabled all update services for other software and so on - and the damn thing still won´t install on my Windows Vista 32bit machine!Uninstall CS5 and re-install? Don´t think so! I have the update version and have uninstalled previous versions so in order to re-install CS5 I´d have to install CS4 first (provided I can even find the proper key...) and then install CS5 and uninstall CS4 again and spend a couple of hours manually going through the registry to delete entries that haven´t been cleaned up and then hope the problem would be solved?GIVE ME A BREAK!Adobe fix this or send my money back!
I would like to see Fuji's newest CMOS-EXR sensors supported in ACR so that Photoshop, Elements and Lightroom are all available to die-hard Adobe users. I've tested the new F550EXR extensively and the new sensor is a winner. The RAW files are amazing for a compact with a 1/2" sensor. See http://kimletkeman.blogspot.com for my articles (31 and counting.) But my all-Adobe work flow is seriously hampered by Fuji's RAW being forced through its proprietary converter first before I move it to ACR6 and then CS5. It's messy and the results, in my opinion, are inferior to what they would be if I could go directly to ACR6 first and then to CS5 Elements 9 or Lightroom 3. As a long time all Adobe user, I and a lot of others would deeply appreciate support for this wonderful new sensor. Image is not available
Lightroom 4.4 bug with new X-Trans handling algorithms. It looks like the blue channel is clipping in some instances, severely distorting handling of highlights. Here's an example: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/pos... RAW (RAF) file available here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37346336/1275... On page five of the thread someone more or less figured out what the issue is (related to camera calibration defaults): http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/thr...

Where can you get camera profiles for ACR? And how do you load them into ACR? Is the Sony A77 on that list? Need help on this one. Thanks.
Lr4.3 and Leica Monochrome DNG files - Mac Book pro (late 2008) - OS: Last update Snow Lion - RAM : 8 Gb As I try to import pictures form sd card I cannot see thumbnail but only grey imagine with "dng" written in. Please note that all pictures are in the same folder in Sd Card, After import I can see them But if I check for the second time to see the pictures before importing (still in the SD) some photo are clear! and Others remain only as grey dng logo!! Without any logical ratio one photo is not shown and after it is shown!! After import alla photo could be seen.... No rules aven in mistakes make impossible to me to investigate. Thanks. marcello
Firstly take note I shot these with a Canon EOS 450D (or Rebel XSi)...I see a lot of answers speaking about having the most up to date version of the Camera RAW Plug-in. I have a similar issue with my .CR2 files... I cannot open them in Camera RAW because it tells me that my camera model or make is not supported by the Plug-in, and so I was directed by other forums to just try converting the .CR2 files to .DNG. I already had the Adobe DNG Converter (version 6.5 I believe), so I tried this. It too told me that my files or camera make were not supported. However, I have always been able to successfully both open my .CR2 files AND convert them to .DNG. I had not updated anything on my camera nor on my Adobe programs and for some reason this last attempt to open RAW files failed me... I have no idea what change would have led to it. Luckily I shot in both RAW and Large JPG but I certainly don't want to rely on my JPGs of course... Any idea why this problem might have arisen now if it had a
Hi,I just wondered is anyone knew when a Camera Raw update will be available for the lastest Canon 6D model?Very frustrating as I can't open any Raw files in PS CS6.Cheers,Georgie
Just to make this into an "official" problem: There are strange artefacts when using shadows, clarity and image warp (lens corrections). Details here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/997568... http://forums.adobe.com/thread/995958... Also applies to ACR 6.7 final, which shows the same artefacts for LR-images edited in Photoshop (rendering using photoshop's ACR). P.S. May be related to http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh... but I think they are two different/distinct problems (however, both seem to be introduced with changes in clarity in RC2).
Synopsis: I've got strange color shift from reds to yellows and highlights boost when I'm doing the following: 1) import my raw files as DNG into LR 2) edit them in LR 3) ctrl-E them to edit in PS 4) edit them in PS (just drawing a dot with the brush tool somewhere, so the file could be saved and re-imported to LR) 5) save (not "save as") them in PS which bring them back as tifs to LR Full problem discussion can be found here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4784177
Olympus EP-L1 raw files have serious jagged diagonals. They're visible on sharp curved surfaces but not on straight sharp diagonals from 0o to 45o. Below is a comparison between in-camera jpeg and .ORF converted to DNG in Lightroom 3.3, ACR 6.3. BTW, this is visible on .ORF files as well as DNG. I took these photos with RAW+JPEG at full resolution, highest quality. Notice also how the Bayer decoding affects complex texture. JPEG RAW Please take a look at my dpreview forum thread for more examples and comparisons to other RAW decoders. http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/rea... Running LR 3.4 on Mac OS X Lion Best Regards
Hello! Can I get Camera raw as an free standalone program. I have tested camera raw an I love it...Please help!!!I´m Swedish...
I have updated to Photoshop CS6 and I'm having a problem with camera raw adjustments. When loading a batch of images into camera raw all is fine then after a few images have been adjusted everything slows down. Adjustment controls take 1-3 seconds to activate when clicked on.Using MacPro 2.66 Nehalem 8 core, 32GB RAM, OS 10.6.8, ATI Radeon HD 4870Any suggestions welcomed.Have tried:disabling all plug-insLaunching Camera Raw from Photoshop and BridgeClosing all other programsAdjusting Camera Raw Cache(currently 10gb)
Adobe's web page "New Downloads" refers to a new download by "Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter"—but when downloading the self-extracting archive then it will contain DNG Converter 7.2 only (plus a bazillion of camera and lens profiles) but no Camera Raw 7.2. What gives?
When I try to update Camera Raw from 6.7 to 7.1, from the 7.1 setup file I downloaded, I get the error:"Update failedUpdates could not be appliedThis patch is not applicable for you. Please check for updates from the help menu in your product to see a list of latest updates available."If I go to help in Photoshop CS5 and click on updates, it says that all of my programs are up to date, but Camera Raw is still 6.7. It absolutely refuses to update to 7.1I just traded in my Nikon D3100 for a Nikon D3200 and 6.7 does not support it, but 7.1 does, so I REALLY need it to upgrade because I like to shoot in RAW.Please help????
