Camera Raw

Please add generative expand for cropping in Adobe Camera Raw. I love that Geneative AI is added as an opton for "remmove," but it would be GREAT if we could expand the crop area byond the original image and use Generative AI to expand...just like in Photoshop.

I have some feedback and idk where else to put it! With the new update, while using Camera Raw to edit I’ve noticed some changes with the crop tool. I used to click on the crop tool and it would automatically make my image a little smaller, leaving me space on the side to grab the crop tool and you know, crop. With the update, the image size does not change when you select the crop tool, which means there’s no space between my image and the side panel, making it harder to grab the crop window. Now I have to zoom out, crop, then make my image full size again, where this step used to happen automatically.

The „Done" button in Camera Raw has no keyboard shortcut. „Enter" opens the image in Photoshop, „Escape" cancels without saving — but „Done" (save settings and close without opening in Photoshop) is only reachable by mouse click. Please add a keyboard shortcut for „Done". (macOS)

There are a lot more satellites in the night sky than there used to be and it’s a nightmare trying to remove them all manually from multiple exposures of a night scene. I love the AI-powered removal of dust and people and was thinking it would be great if Lightroom could also detect satellite streaks in night photos. The attached is an example of a single exposure with at least ten satellite streaks - just one from a series of 150 photos for a timelapse/star trails composition.

The new Vector Scope is great, but it would be even better if some additional features were added directly inside the Vector Scope itself or new tool. The color points shown in the Vector Scope could be made interactive so that we can grab and tune them directly. There could be an option to pick a color point in the Vector Scope and drag it to the color we want, and the adjustment would be applied automatically. This would work similarly to the Color Warper Tool, 3D Color, and Chroma Warp Tool in DaVinci Resolve. Having this functionality directly inside the Vector Scope would make color grading and editing much easier and faster.

When the Camera RAW Radial Gradient tool was first introduced, one could hit “X” WHILE DRAGGING to flip the effect. One could ALSO HOLD THE SPACEBAR WHILE CREATING* the Radial Gradient before releasing the mouse to REPOSITION the gradient. These VERY USEFUL behaviors were lost sometime since. It would be a DELIGHT to see them return.(*Same behavior already exists in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.)

Can we get a square gradient tool, and not just the radial one?  Think "editing windows in a house".  Not every shape in a photo is a circle, so why don't we have a square gradient tool?  Cheers!

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is supported by Camera Raw, but not the Leitzphone (based on th Xiaomi 17 Ultra). So I have no access to my Color-Profile created by Calibrite Profiler Software

I am currently revisiting and reprocessing my photo archive, and I have noticed that Camera Raw is often unable to automatically identify the correct lens profile for older images. In many cases, Camera Raw can determine the lens type and focal length range, but not the exact lens model. I therefore have to manually select the correct profile. While the software often presents a very similar lens, it may choose a newer version instead of the exact model that was used.A feature that could greatly improve this workflow would be a user-defined lens list or "My Lenses" library. Users could specify the lenses they own or have owned, and when lens metadata is incomplete, Camera Raw could prioritize matching against that list before searching the entire lens profile database. For example, if Camera Raw knows that I only owned one particular 70-300mm lens, it could select that profile automatically rather than presenting multiple possible matches. This would be especially helpful when working wi

currently when you use the amazing camera raw on a layer, it opens a separate interface which is great, but... alas, if you are in need of color matching you are facing a problem because you can't see the color correction in the composite psd document until you close camera raw.if camera raw could be applied in both windows or have a view of the composite in camera raw as one of the views at the bottom this would be amazing. (btw, spliting the views with a way to actually move the split vertically or horizontally and not the layer would be nice)if you want an example this is same as a color correction is applied to layers as an effect in after effects.

I'm preparing a bunch of files for the web and would like to use Google's WebP format. How can I export photos in Lightroom to WebP?

When I want to soften a bokeh, I can create mask by clicking the "Select Subject" button, invert it and decrease Sharpeness.   But the problem occurs at the edges of subject, the edges of subject are blurred too. The only way is to create another brush mask, paint around the subject and subtract it from original mask.   1. It would be nice if there was a feather control in "Select Subject" that would extend the mask.   2. It would be great if there were an option to automatically recalculate AI mask after synchronization or if mask was copied to a new photo or when applying preset with AI mask.   With this features softening the bokeh could be saved as a preset and it would be very easy to apply it.

Color temperature below 2000K. It would be extremely useful for infrared photography. By the way, Capture One already allows it.

I have been playing with the new mask feature in Lightroom 2021. However, if you utilize the Color Grading feature for editing purposes, it seems to affect the whole image not just the masked area. Is it possible in a future update to make this feature available for use with the mask feature?

I wold like an ML/ AI based automatic 'defringe' tool in Camera Raw / Lightroom to remove corner chromatic aberration reliably and easily. Please consider developing an ML tool that preserves local color while identifying and removing fringing that occurs on high-contrast edges and especially in image corners. The existing tools and procedures for this in Camera Raw and Photoshop require a lot of manual work and even then do not produce good results.

Currently CameraRaw DNG support is limited to images that are <65000 pixels on either side or <512 Mpix total. This is very restrictive - as for example gigapixel panoramas and super high resolution images exist. The request is to extend the support to the limits of BigTIFF format with regards to resolution. Extra bonus is to support this in DNG SDK as well.

I've already posted this in the Lightroom ideas, but it is equally important for ACR to have this feature.   I’d like to request a dedicated distortion correction tool for tilt-shift and technical camera lenses in Adobe Camera Raw.   Many tilt-shift and technical camera lenses do not save shift movements in metadata, making automatic correction difficult. However, some modern lenses, such as the Fujinon GF 30mm TS and 110mm TS, do record shift data, enabling software like Capture One to apply automatic corrections.   Rather than attempting to create lens profiles for every possible shift position, a more practical approach would be to calculate distortion based on the full shift range of the lens when shift metadata is available, while also providing manual correction controls for lenses that do not record shift data.   Proposed Tool Features: Automatic distortion correction for lenses that record shift metadata, using the full shift range to determine the correct

Hello Adobe Community.I have a request for you or, let's say, a super suggestion. An idea came to me, and i wanted to share it with you because it would be a super convenience for creators who work with photos all the time and are quite busy. My request is that in the Camera Raw section in Photoshop, a window be created where we can search by name for the presets we want to use quickly so that we don't waste time looking for them.I would be very pleased if my request is considered by you, and I would be even happier if in the next update, you could create a window to search for Presets more easily to save our time. Thank you very much.

From the Camera Raw export dialog, I’d love to be able to save directly to a subfolder within the image’s original directory. Currently, the only two options are to Save in Current Location or Save in New Location, which defaults to whatever folder was last used for that option.  When using “Save in New Location,” if you’re not using that old folder from a previous export, it’s not very convenient to have to sift through folders yet again just to set an export folder. What I’m envisioning is the same or similar treatment as in Lightroom Classic in which a subfolder can be both created and selected. The apps’ teams seem more than capable of doing this as-is, and I’d simply like to see it added to ACR for quick work.

Suggestion to make Light and Effects tabs more intuitive, pragmatic and simplified in Camera Raw. Texture, Clarity and Dehaze tools shouldn’t be recognized as effects. These tools are pretty much just another contrast sliders using different algorithms. That is why these tools should be moved to the Light tab. What should be in Effects tab is Vignette, Grain and Lens Blur.Lens Blur as a tab should be removed and moved into Effects tab as a new tool.Effects tab to be dropped to the second tab from the bottom as it would become one of the least used tabs after the update.  Masking Menu: In the Masking menu Light tab should be the same as the main menu containing Texture, Clarity and Dehaze. Effects tab to be completely removed. The Grain tool to be moved into Detail tab. Detail tab in Masking menu could be renamed to ‘Details’ because it would contain slightly different tools from the main menu tab called ‘Detail’. It is to avoid confusion and teach users that Detail and Details tabs are

I love the Camera Calibration sliders. They are truly powerful color adjustments, especially when I want to change the “character” and response of certain sensors and something Adobe should be proud of. I have several presets based on those sliders and that is fine. But I would also like to include them when generating XMP/Creative profiles in ACR. Is there a reason they are disabled/not availble?

I would like to request that the Adobe DNG Converter be installable, updated, and managed directly through the Creative Cloud Desktop application.Currently, DNG Converter is distributed as a separate manual download that requires users to periodically check for updates, download installers, and manage version control outside the Creative Cloud ecosystem. This creates unnecessary friction, especially for photographers and workflows that depend on timely camera-profile updates.Integrating DNG Converter into Creative Cloud would provide several benefits: Automatic Updates: Ensure compatibility with newly released cameras without requiring manual monitoring. Consistent Workflow Management: Allow users to manage all Adobe photography tools from a single interface. Improved Security and Reliability: Reduce the risk of running outdated versions due to missed manual updates. Better Enterprise Deployment: Simplify administration for organizations that rely on Creative Cloud for software l

Hi, I'd really like to see these two missing elements in ACR:1. In the NR tab - for AI NR - add a second control that would adjust ONLY the shadow reduction, independent of the overall level.2. In masks - add a color/chroma NR control to be able to remove chromatic noise only for specific areas.   Why is this necessary? As someone who processes photos taken with cheap cameras and smartphones, the problem of noise in the shadows on such cameras remains a persistent issue...forever casual photos from home, photos taken in the evening, and you get problems everywhere where the light doesn't directly hit.I can solve this problem, BUT now I have to create several layers for each photo separately, paint masks, and this takes time and effort, especially if we're working with RAW and extracting a lot of information. If this appears in ACR, it will be a lifesaver!   For more than 10 years, I would have ranked this problem in the top 3. When I increace the shadows, noise appears, especia

I made a custom profile for a Google Pixel 9 Pro using Calibrite Profiler. Camera Raw will not allow me to use the custom profile because (per Adobe tech support) the profile doesn't specify if it's for the front or rear camera. Aside from the fact that that doesn't, or at least shouldn't, matter, I should still be able to select any profile I want. There's no difference between me using an inappropriate profile and using any of the canned profiles available in Camera Raw. It's all just altering color information based upon a curve, so let me pick whatever I want! This makes it so that I can't support some of my customers based upon the workflows they're creating using the equipment they have.
