When I open my pictures in Camera Raw and make any kind of adjustment, the picture turns black. Camera Raw 15.3.1, I am on a Mac, 12.5.1. I open pictures into Camera Raw and they turn black if I do anything to the picture. Expected result is for it to act like normal, actual result is the picture turns to black.
Hi. When I run ACR 15.3 from Bridge it shows me following message: "Graphics processor acceleration is currently disabled. Please be aware that Camera Raw will soon require GPU support to edit photos. You can manage GPU settings in the Performance section of the Preferences dialog." This is not an issue because my GPU is indeed below system requirements - it's fine for me. I just click ok, message closes and I can work - can close ACR and open once again without this message, can even restart Bridge and open ACR without this message. But the next day first time I open ACR I get the exact same message once again. And this happens every day first time I open ACR. My GPU is unsupported, you showed me the warning - ok, I get it. But what's the point in showing it every day? This is super annoying to say the least. Can this be be disabled?
The LocalAdjustment Color Range Mask appears to be calculated using the image data before Chromatic Aberration (CA) and Defringe are applied. This causes the Color Range Mask adjustments to be applied to image edges that have chromatic aberration. It creates a visible edge outline of size and color dependent on the type and severity of the lens chromatic aberrations. I tested this using a Canon EF 16-35mm F/4L IS lens that has very low CA and the Canon EF-S 18-35mmF/3.5-5.6 IS II, which has much higher CA. To confirm this analysis I created Export TIFF copies of the raw image file with Lens Corrections> Profile> ‘Remove Chromatic Aberration’ unchecked and checked. The TIFF with ‘Remove Chromatic Aberration’ unchecked appears identical to the raw file and exhibits the same edge artifacts. The TIFF with‘Remove Chromatic Aberration’ checked displays almost NO artifacts. EDIT: The Adjustment Brush ‘Auto Mask’ control exhibits the same behavior as the ‘ColorRange Mask’ control when 'R

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, since a few weeks a Nikon D750 NEF takes 20-30 sec to open in Camera Raw.Jpg directly into Photoshop works fine w/o delay. Are there any recommendations how to get it fast again?Thank you! Details:Windows 11 is latest, Photoshop and Camera Raw are latest.Camera Raw adjustments reset- no change. The Camera Raw cache path is set to the SSD M.2, but almost no difference when routed to a really slow Backup HDD.Hardware- not latest, but sufficient for our amateur purpose “up to now”:AMD 3700X, 32GB RAM, SSD M.2, Graphics Nvidia GT740, 1x HD MonitorGraphics driver is latest (03-2023). In General:I am not complaining here about Adobes support strategy although there is a lot to complain from my point of view. Most preferred language: “German”, but using it here would result in nobody reading it- so this is done on my fathers behalf. Best RegardsErich + Walter
The content aware move tool is a very nice tool in photoshop. Would there be any plans to have this feature put into Lightroom as you have with the content aware fill too? It would be amazing and very useful to those of us who prefer to use Lightroom. Thank you
I have a Mackbook pro and my Gpu supports metal 3. Photoshop finds the Gpu and uses it but Canera Raw doesn't detect anything and tells me that my system doesn't support Gpu usage and using the AI demonise is no longer an option for me as it tells me I need a Gpu with metal support. I've seen some comments about the tempdusablegpu file being created through a crash and needing to delete it, although from what I've seen it's in the camera raw/Gpu folder that I don't actually have on my system anywhere.
Hello,I have problems with DNG from a Canon R8 with RF 25-50 at 24mm. In opening the file in Photoshop Elements 2023 / Camera Raw 14.4 it opens distorted and with extreme vignetting. I enclosed a screen shot from Camera Raw. Does anybody have the same problem (and a potential solution) ?Thank youMeinhard
I've always wonder why, a company that has the most well known software for photo editing, doesn't have a huge choice of film analog emulation presets and color profiles. Surely the freedom for editing raw files by applying color profile and presets is the most easy (compare to others softwares) but why Adobe has never create a good starting base for editing? I personally don't think that old style, analog film, is old enough to get rid of it. The defaults presets that are in, are just fine, but why not implement them, with a rich choice of new/old profiles? Probably I'm asking too much, and is too much work, and probably also there's always the problem about brands rights, but it would be awesome to have a rich choice of analog film profiles and presets inside Camera raw and Lightroom (mobile and classic).
I found instructions for installing LUTs in .xmp format, but not .cube. Thanks.
Merci
Hello! I want to ask you to offer multiple versions of Camera RAW, as you offer for any other software. I keep getting this notification that my graphic card is too old and soon I will not be able to edit RAW files after a few Camera RAW updates, because of implementation of the AI stuff.I don't need these AI nonsense and I don't want to buy a new laptop just because you are implementing new software updates. It is not fair to users and it is not ethical. You should make software that can be used on reasonable older machines, no matter what updates you make. You should adjust you offer depending on users, not the other way. Please make software versions that can be used even on older machines. Most users just need the basics, not the latest and fashionable software trends.I am a graphic designer and I used the new AI updates just of curiosity and for fun, never for work.Keep it simple and adaptable. Not everyone wants the latest technological breakthroughs.Be reasonable!
Hello! I'm editing some RAW photos and I noticed that Camera Raw opens a bad version of the RAW files. When I open it on windows it first loads like a a thumbnail version, and after a few seconds it loads the fully detailed version. What happens is that Camera Raw seems to load that first version of it, and changing the profile doesn't solve the issue. What am I doing wrong? Below are some screenshots: the first one is the photo before and the second one is the photo after fully loading. The last one is how it appears in Camera Raw.
Windows: hold the "Alt" button and click on the Rotate button in the tool bar. One is for "flip horizontal" and one is for "flip vertical".MAC: hold the "Opt" button and click on the Rotate button in the tool bar. One is for "flip horizontal" and one is for "flip vertical".Note: This does not work within Photoshop's built-in version of ACR, only in ACR launched from Bridge. There are a few archived posts that say this is not possible in ACR and those answers are wrong. You can flip images in ACR.
It would be amazing if Lightroom had a feature that could use subject Detection to apply a radial filter. Users could select subject Detection, apply the radial settings, and then sync settings across all images. For portrait or wedding photographers this would have the potential to be game changing and doesn't seem like it would be that hard to implement seeing that Photoshop already has subject Detection technology.
Hi, as shown in the figure below Iam trying to merge 14 Raw pictures in to a panorama, but it gives me the error (there was not enough memory) when trying to save the merged panorama.* My Computer RAM is 32 GB.* Windows 11 version 22H2* There is a storage space on C where photoshop installed and on D where I trying to save the panorama.* Camera Raw version is 15.3.1* Photoshop version is 24.5.0
Hi, since one of the latest updates a few weeks ago the adjustment brush in camera raw is laggy to a point where it is actually unusable. When I add brushing somewhere with wacom it can take easily up to 30 seconds until the brushing finishes after I already lifted the pencil. In fact, this behaviour does not occur when I use the mouse. So it has something to do with the wacom intuos pro, either wacom itself or how the new PS handles the wacom. I'm on a MBP by the way. Anybody else noticed this issue?
Hello,I am having repeated problems with some of the .XMP files I copy to the CameraRAW LocalCorrections folder - I copy them to the folder but they do not appear in the Presets drop-down menu in CameraRAW (even though they appear in the index.dat file). Let me be more specific:I have a set of CameraRAW brushes which I'll call "CP". When the CP set is installed, no other 3rd-party brushes copied to the LocalCorrections folder will display (although they are in the directory and are listed in the updated index.dat file). If I delete the CP set and install other brushes, then (so far) the other brushes show up in the CameraRAW and can be used. However, if I reinstall the CP brush set, they seem to override the Presets drop-down menu and even though the older brushes are still in the index.dat file, they do not display in the Presets drop-down menu and I am restricted to only the CP brush set. I am using Photoshop 24.4.0 and CameraRAW 15.3.1.
When i try to edit multiple pictures in camera raw it crashes after a couple of minutes and the edit doesn't save. ( Sorry for my bad English) I got this error code after the crash
Hello Community, I used ACR in version 13 and upgraded to version 14 as it was available. When editing pictures in ACR, I was used to see .xmp files when saving my changes for the edited pictures - this file contains the settings I made according to the raw file. Now, there is an additional file with the extension .ACR. I can't find any info on this type of file or for what it is used. Can someone tell me?
Alguém pode me ajudar a solucionar?
Hi all, not sure if you are experiencing the same issue. I imported ORF (Olympus Raw File) to Lightroom and it is very noisy in comparsion to OM Workspace, DXO Photolab 6 without using the AI Denoise. Is there any solution to this? and hopefully Adobe can improve the file support.
