Hello 🙂 ,I just wanted to check if there is an option to use the callout text reflect in the notes pane for audio generation.Currently, I'm using copy - paste; copy text from callout and paste in the notes pane, and generate audio.Please share your thoughts on how to have it updated automatically, if possible.Thank you!

Hi, I have had no issues publishing my last 17 Captivate 2019 courses to the LMS but since the big error from March 9th, when I publish a course to my LMS, my learners have to resize the course. So I am at a loss as to why this is an issue. I'm sure it is something simple. I DID verify three things to eliminate some potential solutions:  1. I went to Modify --> Rescale Project... and found the dimensions are correctly set to 1280 X 720  2. I went to my video slide and verified both X and Y are set to 0 and the dimensions are also 1280 X 720.  3. I went to File --> Project Info... and verified all the settings are set correctly. 

Hi could anyone tell me what this error means?A document has been created for review in a shared drive but when trying to open this error comes up.Thank you

I recently did several days of work without continually hitting the save button (didn't think it was going to be an issue). Then I get the .zip error that Adobe introduced, ultimately, Captivate forced closed itself. No backup was created (at least within the last 3 days of working like a dog). Is there any hope? Or do I now have to tell my employer that my work "mysteriously" disapeared. Can I get an Adobe Engineer to call my boss?

HiI am trying to remove a poster image that I inserted into a Captivate project. (I will not replace, but remove completely). It is not possible as the field is greyed out.Can anyone help?Thank you!Ellen

Update - Saturday, March 13th, 2021 10:30 AM PST   Adobe Engineers have identified the underlying issue which was related to the management of assets in the Asset Panel. This is not the same issue that was identified related to the Microsoft Windows Update on Tuesday, though it may have presented similar error messages.   On Friday, our asset team added a substantial set of additional sounds to the Asset library. A dormant bug in the Adobe Captivate code related to file management was triggered by the substantial number of additional assets.  We are rolling back the additional assets for the moment, to restore functionality as quickly as possible, and are simultaneously working on an update that will remove the file management bug from Captivate.   From a user perspective, this will mean that:   1. Those new sound files will not be available for a little while longer.    2. Captivate will simply start working again as it did before, with no action req

I am using TalentLMS and in my first created e-course I use a SCORM file with a video to start the course. When I get to the end of that video TalentLMS does not allow to complete the action and sends me back to retry. Which settings must I change in the Captivate file for this to work?

Hello, I have a customer who just started to get the following error, this is after the issues from last week with saving which seem to have resolved for him today: Unable to save the project to C:\users\USER\Documents\My Adobe Captivate Projects\HUBS DM\FRPS6.cptx The destination files is being used by another Capitivate instance. Windows 10 1904, Adobe Captivate 2019 (64 Bit)11.5.5 Any thoughts on this? Thanks!

Hello, I have a multiple-choice question that will only allow users to select one specific answer when it is exported. For example, I have marked the corrected answer as "b" but when I publish the scrom file, learners are only able to select choice "a"

Hello, I am creating a responsive project. I'm trying to upload a YouTube video with specific start and stop times. Every time I click to preview it, it only plays for 2 seconds and stops. It should play for 37 seconds. Not 2 seconds and stop. What should I do?What am I doing wrong? 

Can anyone tell me the difference between a subscription to Captivate vs a full license purchase?  Is there an advantage to one vs the other?

Hi all, I have been using an interactive video with drag & drop overlay slides as a knowledge check. After three failed attempts, the user is supposed to to be sent to a bookmark where the content is re-explained.On success, the slide is supposed to close and the project is should continue (On Enter = Pause; On Exit = No Action; slide duration = 1.5 sec; Pause After = 1.5 sec). However, in both scenarios, the slide freezes with only the 'Submit' button changing state when hovering over it. Additionally, the 'Failure Caption' sometimes appears on the first attempt even when the drag sources have been dropped in all correct targets.What worries me is that it was all working perfectly in HTML5 Previews until I did final tiny tweaks (e.g. test the function of 'Auto Submit Correct Answers'). I then cancelled the final tweaks and set the options back to what they were but somehow the slide stopped functioning properly On Exit.(I have tried playing around with the On Enter and O

Hi, is it possible to post to Udemy e-learning made in Captivate keeping all interactive features? If not possible in Udemy, where do You usually publish Your interactive courses so it does not loose interactivity?  P.S. if there are some topics where it was already described, would apperciate links!!

UPDATE (3/15/2021): We've made some changes in the backend. Should you see the erro rmessage, restart Captivate. Meanwhile we are working on this issue. Many Captivate users reported issues in opening and saving files on March 9th and then reported the disappearance of the issue on March 10th. The issue appears to have been triggered by updates to the Microsoft Operating System. I have recently updated to Captivate 2019 (most current update) and am experiencing difficulties in saving/conversion of older (.cptx) files. The file opens correctly, but upon saving as a different file name, locks. (on Windows 10 PRO, 64 bit).This error is received when the application locks up, and clicking on it only brings the same error up over and over again:Unknown Exception: ..\..\..\source\components\ziputils\CPInternalZipUtils.cpp716In addition werfault.exe is seen as being problematic by my anti-virus. An alert tho this effect pops up after forced closing out of my locked Captivate 2019 application. werfault my only be error reporting after the hung app is closed, but may be connected.Has anyone experienced something similar, and if so, have you been successful at a remedy?

Hi,  I've been having an issue with Captivate. I can't save any of my work without it saying there is a fatal error and terminating Captivate.As a test, I have opened Captivate, created a new responsive presentation, left it completely blank and tried to save it to my desktop. I get an error message that says 'Unknown exception', I hit retry and a message comes up saying that a 'fatal error has occured and the application is being terminated'.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Captivate, but the same issue occurs. Please help as I have a really important deadline coming up next week and this issue is an absoloute nightmare!

Can anyone give any tips on how to download Cap 8 on another PC if you only have your license key?  I got this through my company but the Adobe support chat is unable to help me.  They dont seem to see that I have an account.   

Hello, I encountered a big issue in Captivate. When I open a project in Captivate, I cannot save it, I cannot open another file and I cannont published in a zip folder. I have a message with "Unknown exception".  Anyone to help me please ? 

I am creating a knowledge check of various step by step simulations.  When a user clicks incorrectly the first time I want a text caption to come up that says Try again.  When the user clicks incorrectly a second time, I want a second caption to come up that says Click here.I'm new to Captivate 7. I've done this type of thing in Storyline but can't figure it out here.  I'm also new to using variables and actions so if you know how to do this. Hi,I work within a UK Police service - building presentations of evidence for use at trial. We currently build the presentations using InDesign before exporting as a html microsite using the In5 plugin (we used to export to interactive PDFs before Flash became unsupported). Another part of our role is to capture 360 imagery of crime scenes. We are looking at using Captivate's (360 slide template) to build virtual tours of crime scenes with hotspots and embedded media etc. I have two questions:1) Is it possible to export a captivate project for use in a 'standalone/local/offline' capacity.2) Is it possible to hyperlink from my In5-created html microsite presentation to the captivate product - again, keeping everything local and offline? Thanks Adobe Community  

I converted a PowerPoint training presentation I made to Captivate.I am trying to advance the slide ONLY after clicking the Next Slide button. The problem is that if the user clicks the slide background the slide starts it's default timing and advances after 3 seconds.How can I remove this? I only want to use the next button!Aside from setting the slide timing to 3000 seconds, I cannot seem to get it to work.

Hi I am currently having issues with Captivate 2019 crashing when I try to save a project. It had been working completly fine but now it wont let me save any work. The project I have been working on was inported from Power Point and I now cant import PP presentation into captivate, it says that the file may be damaged. I have previously been able to do this fine. Below is the message I from captivate when trying to save. Any suggestions would be greatly recieved!  

Hello, is there any way to publish a start picture insted of the white screen without a layer on it. I found the function in captivate, but the picture is published with a layer on it and the colours are different to the original picture
