Hi I have a multiple choice quiz slide in my project, one of a series of question slides. I have added a shape, and made it a button, with the action of opening an URL when clicked. That bit works just fine. However... The submit question button on the page will ONLY move you on to the next question if you have viewed this URL. If you have not clicked the button, it simply does nothing. It doesnt even change state (colour) when rolling over it. I have the "continue playing this project" ticked. I am stumped... any ideas? The URL button works fine on other slides that are just text with a continue to next page type button. The only difference to me, is that it doesnt work when placed on a quiz slide. I was wondering if there was a known issue with putting this kind of button onto a quiz slide, or if im missing something obvious. TIALauren

I have a responsive project with 4 overlay slides throughout. The overlay slides are formatted from an Overlay Slide Master I created. Every time I preview from Captivate and/or publish to our LMS, it is showing a pop-out icon as seen in the picture. I am assuming it is a text overflow because when I click it, it does the transparent black overlay with white text. I have removed all formatting from the text, checked the margins for the text boxes as well as the fluid boxes and made sure there were no extra spaces below the text. I've reduced the font size, made sure "Enable Uniform Text Scaling" was checked, etc. What else can I check or how do I get this pop-out icon to go away? Thanks! 

Few issues, hoping someone could help? 1. If I want to copy and paste multiple slides, they sometimes lose properties, like the background will dissapear, or text captions will move on the page. This happens mostly with question slides, but is very frustrating. Captivate still SHOWS the correct options in properties, but they dont show, even when published. 2. When dragging slides to the end of my project, it almost always stops me early and drops them a dozen or so slides from the end and makes me regrab and drag them more. Any recommendations for easy and quick moving of slides over a large project?

I have a button set up in my resources that take you to a PDF document. When done viewing the PDF document there is a red X set up on the slide which takes you back to the last slide visited which is the Resource page. My Red X on the Resource page says to take you to last slide visited which takes you back to the PDF page. It goes in a circle.  What I would like to happen is when you go to the Resource page and you click on a button that should take you to the PDF document. Then when you click on the red X after viewing the PDF document it should take you back to Resources then when you click the Red X on resoursces it should take you to the page you were on before you ever went to Resources in the first place. How can I do this?

Hola ahorita me tengo un proyecto de educacion promaria ya termina en captivate, no habia tenido problemas para descargar el ejecutable .exe y correrlo en mi compu y la de mis compañeros, pero ahora cuando lo quiero abrir no piuedo porque flash dejo de dar soporte hasta diciembre 2020. Como le puedo hacer para descargar el .exe de mi proyecto sin problemas ahorita en 2021. Espero me piedan ayudar porfavor!!

I need to have a SME demonstrate a process via video (MS Teams).  I can screen record but will Captivate capture their screen clicks?  This is for a simulation.  Is there any way to capture a remote presenter?

I have created a Captivate eLearning presentation and would like people to visit my website and be able to use it. I am using Elementor as the page builder. Does anyone know of a way I can achieve this, perhaps with a plug-in? I have already uploaded the presentation in a zip file

In a responsive project I have a simple true false question, if the user selects no answer and clicks Submit, the answer defaults to A.  If that’s correct, it progresses. Is there anyway to fix this so it doesn't auto populate the answer?

I've developed a project where all slides in the film strip look great, it displays in Preview in HTML5 great, but when I publish to HTML5 (not preview), the display is messed up.  Columns are not lined up, overlays of pictures do not display correctly etc...

Hello, my project is in 2019 version. On some of the Multiple choice slides, when the user clicks on one of the options, it does not tell the user if their selection is right or wrong and it simply moves to the next slide. I have noticed if the user goes back (using the backward button), it acts properly but users might not do that. Also, I have noticed that it happens randomly (i.e. every time the e-Learning is launched in LMS it happens on a different quiz slide). Do you know why and is there any solution for this? Thank you!

When I preview my Captivate file to HTML5 it works great. But if I publish to computer in HTML5 the pictures/ boxes are not correct size. What is happening and how can I fix this?

Guessing this is a carbon based error but - I have a Master Slide with next and back buttons which for some reason show on some of the other Master Slides but not all of them. Would love some suggestions. 

Hello, many of the videos I'm trying to watch in the Resources tab/section (508 compliance, many others) take me to a site that says the video is unavailable. Where are the working resources located? Hellocomplete Adobe novice here. Three hours later I am still trying to hide a picture. Here's what I am trying to do ....I have a cow and a boy and a cowboy arranged left to right. I want to uncover one picture at a time. I guess I could drag and drop a white box as I can manage that but I would really like to press on a cover and make it disappear revealing a picture below. Can anyone type super simple instructions for me. I would really appreciate it

Hey guys! I am back with another question for this awesome community. As we develop our training courses we want to have the ability to import questions depeding on the course (Some may overlap or be more general then others). So naturally I stumbled around and found the Macro CSV question pool generator with Captivate 2019. Using that tool is super easy and user friendly but I believe I have discovered two bugs and I am wondering if anyone has a work around for it. 1. I have not found documentation on how to have a fill in the blank question be answered with a dropdown menu in the CSV file as you can make it do in the question slide itself. 2. Some question types are not included in the CSV model and I am wondering if anyone knows the proper format so that we can have them live in the CSV file.Missing Question Types:Hot SpotSequence - I am primarly interest in this one.

Please can anyone advise me how to get out of this predicament!? I have some .exe files that were created in about 2012 via Captivate. They will no longer run because of the Flash support stopping on 12th January 2021. There is no audio on them.What are the options?  Any help very gratefully received.  

Hello.  My slide has a text entry box that plays when I preview the course, but doesn't even show the cursor in the field when I publish it and play it in Chrome.  Any ideas on how to resolve the issue?

Hi Captivate Friends! I started a job a month ago and am trying to ramp up asap on Captivate.  The latest issue I'm running into is having the Fonts show up accurately once published. My company has provided me with font to use (it's just Arial though and everyone has that). I had everything set in project form and then when it previews and/or publishes the font changes, sometimes slightly on just one word to bold or a letter doesn't seem to be aligned. It's very wonky looking and my projects educate nationally so I really need them to look professional.  Any ideas? Any help is sooo appreciated. I'm new so please be patient if I'm asking obvious questions. Thank you! 

(Cp 2019/Win 64 bit) My current project uses some of the built-in Captivate assets templates - horizontal and vertical accordian and the slide show templates. I recorded audio to the slides within Captivate. Audio plays fine in the Cp timeline but not in Preview mode or browser preview. CC does not display on screen either. Also the slide audio on the title slide does not play (which is a problem I've had before). I see this issue has been posted in the past, but I really didn't see an answer that I could try. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

I've been tracking down an issue I've seen with the HTML5 publish in Captivate 2017. Through testing, I've discovered that the published folder is smallest/most optimized when the publish path does not include spaces in any of the folder names. From what I can tell, the image files in the "dr" folder are better compressed and organized into fewer json files when published to a path with no spaces. For some of my movies, the overall size of the final published folder is cut in half. I have not changed any publish settings or other settings. I do not know if this is true for Captivate 2019 or later.

Hi Team,   I need some help with the following: Auto-populate user's name on the Completion Certificate based on the LMS login credentials.  Completion Date on Certificate in expanded format (e.g. 3 February 2020) Add an option to save the certificate as pdf format

I want to use the widget to insert a completion certificate in to the captivate project. How do I get it to function so that the user can add their name to the certificate. When I add it to the project it says Presented to: User Name but it wont allow the user to change that.

I have used the ability to spread a video across several slides and insert a knowledge check or additional info slide in between each video slide. How is the new feature in Captivate 2019, Interactive Videos, any better? What problem does it solve?

Hi All,in the Adobe 2019 release I am experiencing several bugs in the property panel.- sometimes the 'character' option does not show up for existing shapes with text. Here, the workaround that works for me is to add a new shape, write text into it, and then the option will re-occur.- now also the 'color' option for shapes disappeared. I did not find a solution for this one. It seems that there are some bugs or conflicts in the property panel. It's quite bothersome to produce content while spending time on trying to find solutions for software issues. Does anybody know a fix for this, or is this being addressed by Adobe?BestMartin
