I am in the process of going through all of our Captivate modules and eliminating any non-HTML5 compliant elements. Several modules contain very long software simulations. On those simulations slides that have some sort of movement on them (i.e., scrolling down a screen), the HTML5 Tracker says, "Only animation image is supported." This indicates to me that these slides will present some kind of problem when published as HTML5. But I don't see any problems when I run the module in the SCORM cloud or when I preview as HTML5 in browser. The "animation images" seem to be working just fine. Do I need to modify these slides somehow? Should I just ignore this message in the HTML5 Tracker? What's going on?
I've created a video where a hotspot shows up where the user can go to another video for further explanation. On that video there's return button that Executes Advance Action that jumps to a bookmark in the original video so the user can continue from where they left off. The script works but there appears to be a "flash frame" before it plays. How do I get rid of that? thanks
Hi All.So, I have a basic layout with 3 images, all with the same Y position and all with the Ease-In effect applied in the Timing Panel - Here is an image of that:MY PROBLEM comes in that when previewing as HTML5, or when publishing, the images do not end up where they should - the first does, the second slightly lower, and the third lower still - like steps. The end result is that the multistate objects they trigger overlaps then and the whole thing is off! Here is the result:How do I fix this, since their final positions are correct when editing the slide?Speedy assistance much appreciated since client is reviewing on Monday!Regards
I am publishing out two compliance courses and I'm having issues with one of them marking complete in our LMS. I built them at the same time with the same settings. I'm using the Forward clickbox on each slide to add 1 point to the overall "quiz total." And I'm using those points to tell the LMS when to mark the course complete. That's working as it should within one course, but not in the other. And I noticed that both courses have the same exact Objective ID in the Quiz settings. Is that an issue at all? Can it be changed?
Hi, I'm developing a compliance course that includes scenarios. We're not required to quiz our learners, so the scenarios they complete aren't set up as a quiz. I have some optional scenarios they can complete and those slides are at the end of the course. All scenarios have branching, so the learner isn't viewing all of the slides within a scenario. Question: How do I get the course to mark complete once they reach the "completed" slide since there are slides after it (and they aren't viewing some of the scenario slides before it)? Is it possible to assign points to a slide? Thanks, Kristen
Can someone tell me how to add a watermark for branding videos with your company's logo. The second question is to describe how the closed captioning work.
Hello, I need to create an e-learning Captivate course including an assesment quiz for which no score should be no success/failure status associated with the quiz but the results still should be available to the learner. The data to be communicated to the LMS should only be in reference to the viewing of the course. Unfortunately, I cannot find a way to prevent the scores from showing up in the tool, could you let me know if there is any way to achieve this in the creation of my course ?
I am using Captivate 2019 and SCORM Cloud to author a test. No learning, it's just a test. What I want is, if the test was launched but the test taker quits before finished, then the test is marked Complete (and failed). I got that working. Next, if the test taker re-launches the test, then the test taker should be taken to the Results page. This I can't get to work. The Test Taker is taken to where they quit from. The only thing I can think of is to look for cmi.success_status and have that script used on every slide. But I'm not sure how to do that?If there is an easier way, please let me know. Or if that is what is needed, any pointers for me to read a SCORM variable and act on it would be appreciated.
Hi there, Happy New Year! I'm reaching out to ask if you can help troubleshoot a problem we have with one of the SCORM courses we created where it allows users to access the last slide with the certificate we embedded without getting thru all the slides or completing the course. For example, our LMS report shows a user is 61% complete but he was able to get to the final screen and retrieved the internal completion certificate. We did a debug and noticed a huge string of data in the cmi_suspend_data variable. Is this the cause of the problem? Do you have a solution or recommendation on how we should fix this - is this in the SCORM package or in the LMS? I'm attaching the cmi_suspend_data for your reference. I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you.
I was trying to moved the Captivate screen to another monitor but now I cannot move the screen at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello AllWe have an English build that we want to translate into Marathi. Some pair words do not appear properly. we have use Adobe Devnagri font in Caption doc and doc import in build , we also embeded Adobe devnagri font in Adobe captivate, See attached SS what we have facing issue
I was wondering if there's a way to include an audio adjustment button that goes with a published Adobe Captivate course. For example currently it only turns on or mutes. What I'm wanting to do is similar to a quicktime video where there's the option to adjust the volume within the player and not just mute it. Thanks
Hello,Is there an option to publish SCORM content created using Adobe Captivate 2019 on to Sharepoint portal? My client doesnt have LMS but liked the content we created but wanted that to be available on their sharepoint portal. Thank you in advance
Hello! I'd like to start by saying that I have had this work in previous projects so I don't know if this is a recent problem. But...I can not get the easy branching to work properly. I have this slide that is set to braching. I have the slide as branching, the group naming conventions match. I have bypassed the "quiz" button and named my next button quiz. (which I have done before). The real problem is that the button actions are to be set to no action for it to work but mine literally do nothing when I set that. So I set it to continue which allows it to move on but after the first group it doesn't go back to the buttons. Has this happened to anyone recently? Any advice? Also, the groups slide actions are set to go to next slide except for the last one which is set to continue. Which has also worked in the past but now isn't. Thanks Everyone!!!!!!
Hello,I have published a Cp file as HTML5; it's not in an LMS. Since the output is index.html, rather than individual html pages for each slide, is there a way to manipulate the url to go to a specific slide? Thanks!
Hello - I have created a quiz. By default the "submit" button goes to the next slide. The "back" button actually does take me back one slide - however, once I go back, the "clear" button does not clear the selection and the "submit" button no longer works. With a normal (non-quiz) button I can set an action. However, it seems that with a quiz, settings those actions is a little harder to find. I have searched the quiz settings and the properties of the individual buttons. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Please see my screenshot which shows where the actions tab would be with a normal button.
Muchas gracias. My team's training modules are publishing just fine to our server. I am trying to hook up the quiz analyser and keep getting an "unknown error" on submission of the results. On further review the page returns a message "method not allowed" I saved the two PHP files to a directory in our webserver. The address is https://ourcompany.com/Training/captivate/internalserverreporting.php Couple questions. Do the PHP files need to live in the root of the webserver? Can the live deeper in a different folder? If I have mutliple published training modules, do each of them need these two files in their published folder?
I have an interactive file and exported as HTML5. I uploaded this to my site (internal) and when I was testing this file and I get about half way through then there show a "loading screen". When they come back, half of the image is missing on the pages. It’s super random and doesn’t always stop in the same place. Is there a way to fix this?
Hi community,i read some threats about this and had that problem as well. I refused to be believe, that my LogiTech Brio 4k is the reason for Captivate 2019 crashing if i start Captivate with the Video Demo profile. So here is what helped me:I have OBS-Studio installed, including a virtual-cam plugin.Removing the virtual camera did the trick for me.What i had to do to get rid of the virtual camera was running the "virtualcam-uninstall" script as administrator from "C:\Program Files\obs-studio\data\obs-plugins\win-dshow". Hope that helps you out there as well.MS
Hi there! Would anyone have any idea why when I go to use the Video Demo feature on my Captivate 2019 the message "WebCam is busy" appears? This is my internal Mac Camera and all permissions are on. At this point, I'm just wondering if this Video Demo feature doesn't work with Mac? Captivate is upgrated to the newest version and I'm on MacOS Catalina. Someone else has asked this on the forum before, but there was no solution. Here's that post: https://community.adobe.com/t5/captivate/webcam-is-busy-when-creating-a-video-demo/m-p/10940424?page=1#M278176 Thank you for any help you can provide, Cassy
I am wanting to embed video mp4 into Captivate 8 and it says it will have to convert it to flv. OK, then I go to publish it to html5 and now it is going to reconvert it back to mp4. What am I missing? All this converting is not going to do my video any good as well as all the time it is taking to make all the conversions.
Hi AllI am currently testing features of captivate on mobile devices, specifically iPads.I have a very simple drag and drop interaction set up. There is one drop target, and 4 drag items set to it.The drop targets accept methods are set to hide the draged items once they are dropped on the target. This works fine in preview mode, but does not carry over to HTML5. I have included a picture to show the actions I have set up that do not work.Is there a way for these to work in HTML5?CheersLewis Carey
I messed up my slide masters and themes.AND I deleted placeholders too.How can I restore my original slide masters/themes and placeholders?I went to the control panel and the only option is to UNINSTALL.I want to "re-install" perhaps? Or "repair"But that setting is not there.
I've already converted all of my Flash projects to HTML5, but someone from a different department asked me today if they originally published with SWF and HTML5, do they need to republish to just HTML5 in order to be sure their content still works when Flash support ends? I know with other products (Storyline), the browser will first look for the HTML5 content, and only use the Flash content as a fallback, but I'm not sure if Captivate also works that way. Sounds like a browser-specific thing to me...
