Captivate

Hello, I am very interested in Adobe Captivate, I am trying to reproduce VR virtual reality. As a preview of the work after completion of the work, it works fine like a local host, but when I open the html index created after posting the device (chrome), a black screen appears. No matter how much I search and find the reason, I don't know. Explain in detail. I've looked into the community a lot, but I don't understand. I'd really appreciate it if you let me know. I will attach an image of the working procedure.

Hello!I am trying to figure out a way to utilize the clickboxes in Adobe Captivate. Currently I have all of those clickboxes *see image attached* as clickable boxes that show a text on screen while an audio plays at the same time. I would like to know if there is any way I can stop the audio of the other clickboxes when the uses clicks each one.  Thank you!  

I am on the 3rd slide of 3 and want to use a down effect to trigger a change of state of an object. I am moving a molecule across a membrane through a protein, so the protein door has to open, let the molecule move in, then close, then door on the other side opens and the molecule moves out. I have tried using various delay of state options, but it never opens and/or closes at the right time. Any suggestions?

Using Captivate cc, I brought in a .png image to a page on a project that is not "Responsive"; the courwse is meant for desktop use only.  The png image was a bit too light so I used the "EDIT IMAGE" feature and changed the brightness rating from 0 to a negative 10.  Making the change, the non-transparent portion of my image shifted from being displayed in the middle of the page to the top of the page.  The png. image is the full size of the screen (1024x627) positioned at X: 0 and Y: 0.  The X and Y stay the same before and after the change of brightness.  But the non-transparent portion of the image within the png suddently becomes displayed at the top of the page whenever I change any settign within EDIT IMAGE except ALPHA.  It is like Captivate diregards the blank portion of the image and shifts the rest up.  (FYI: changing the Alpha setting works fine.)  Changing the Brightness setting back to 0, bring the image back to it's proper position.

At work, I was tasked with converting old .cp files from 2009 to .cptx files so we could re-publish them in HTML5 since Flash is being deprecated. There were 4 projects needing converting - 2 converted fine but the other 2 somehow lost a lot of content in the conversion - rollovers, buttons, and a ton of regular text. I thought I could just go back to the .cp files and re-convert but somehow the .cp files have the same corruption. The info was all there before the conversion and has been confirmed by a colleague. All I did was open the .cp file in Captivate 6 and re-save as a .cptx. The modified date for the .cp file is still showing as from 2009. Can anyone tell me where I went wrong and why a simple save-as action made me lose a lot of content? And how I might be able to recover it, if at all? (I am not a Captivate developer nor do I play one on TV so please be gentle and explicit with any instructions)

Hi, Using Captivate 2019.I'm building a module with branching scenarios (or more properly, showing specific slides) based on individual answers to quiz questions. To clarify my setup:Slides 1-5 straightforward content unrelated to quizSlide 6 scenario content relevant to quiz question #1Slide 7 quiz question #1 with three MC optionsIf the user selects correctly, it goes to slide 8, with congratulations and a brief explanation. There is a button going to slide 11, which is the start of the next scenarioIf the user selects incorrectly, it goes to either slide 9 or 10 depending on the answer selected. Each of these slides has a brief explanation as to why the answer was wrong, and a button going back to the quiz question on slide 6 to try againSlide 11 scenario content relevant to quiz question #2Slide 12 quiz question #2... Getting to my problem: In the ToC, I have slide 6 visible in the ToC, but not the quiz question (slide 7)  or the answer feedback slides (slides 8-10).

Good Morning:I have a project that has some normal slides in it, and then some that have slides with an interactive video and overlays in it.  We have no test LMS so we have to test all our files as EXE.  When testing as exe, the project will not proceed to any of the slides with the interactive video.  Simply put, you can click "Next" as long as you want to, and the project will not proceed if the next slide has the interactve video.  In HTML5- it works perfectly. Is there something I need to do to get the Interactive Video to work when published as EXE? Thank you, 

My problem: text spacing started acting weird suddenly in Captivate. If I copy and paste or create any new object which includes text (text caption, smart shape, duplicate slide), Captivate adds more space between the lines than it should. This happens both in older projects or in completely new ones. In an older project I can have text boxes etc. that look normal, but when I copy and paste them inside the project, the spacing changes. In the properties window under "Character", the spacing says still 1 pt for both the original and copied text, even though it is clear that the copied text does not have 1 pt. What is more, if I "change" the orignal text's spacing under "Character" to 1 pt (meaning: I just write the number 1 again to the field), the same space-magic happens: Captivate adds space between lines so that the original text is now similar as the copied text in terms of spacing, even though I didn't actually change anything.I have attached a picture of the original text (a

Hello,I've seen that there has been discussion on issues with logging scores in an LMS.  I've ran into this issue as well and am looking for a solution.  I am using Blackboard 9.1 with Cp 2017.  When the students take the quiz, only 5 of the 25 points are recorded even though the student completed all successfully. I've outlined the steps I take below and the results the students receive.   Any suggestions???  My work around is to go in an manually update the grades.1. I create my presentations w/ quizzes in CP 2017 with the following quiz settings:2. Then I set up the LMS in CP 2017 as follows with points selected:3. I import the SCORM into Blackboard with these settings - there are 5 questions @ 5points each to a total of 25 points for the grade book item4. When the student takes the quiz, only 5 of the 25 points are recognized even though the student answered all correctly.

Hi all,I imported a presentation from PowerPoint to Captivate 2019, and continues editing with Captivate (added slides and also changed some). On publishing (this happens as well in preview) when one left clicks on the text it shows the outline of the textbox. This only happens with the slides imported from PPT. Tried different browsers .. It happens on Edge and Chrome but NOT on Firefox. Any ideas plase?

Is there an equivalent to advanced answer options (for multiple choice) for True or false questions that allows me to explain on the slide why the selected answer is wrong?

Hi all, hope someone has some ideas on this! I have Captivate 2016 and I primarily create video demo projects, recording my screen as I walk through a process.* I'm currently creating a series of videos where I'll need to blur out certain information while it's onscreen (simply panning away from this info isn't possible in most cases). I assumed I could just insert an image of pixelation and merge it with the background at the necessary spot--but when I try this, the image disappears rather than remaining visible as part of the video. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?The options that work to fix this issue on a slide (like in a software simulation) don't seem to apply/be possible in the video demo format. Is there actually no way to achieve the merge with background effect in a video demo?If anyone has any ideas or workaround I'd really appreciate it! (*If you're wondering, I've found that for my purposes creating a video demo project makes it much easier to achieve w

I need to generate text/graphics from my courses that include the screen, the Caption Text, and the Slide Notes.I have successfully used the "Print > Handouts command for about a year in both Captivate 9 and 2017.I used to be able to generate a word doc of a course which showed the final screen, the slide notes (narration text), and the caption text (all the text shown onscreen) for each screen in the course.  This just recently broke, selecting all three (and only those three) options now leaves me with a one page word doc with basically nothing on it.  ("Use table in output" also unselected).  It works fine now if I turn off Caption Text, but I need that Caption Text which is now not shown so my colloborators can edit it.  Does anyone know why this functionality is gone now? Thanks

I am using Adobe 2019 on a Mac Book Pro. I am creating a scorm package and on one slide I have three objects that are activated by clicking a button for each. Each object has a narration .wav file attached. In preview these all work fine. The audio plays on activation all the way through. However, when I replay the scorm package on my LMS ready for publishing two of the three sound file cut off before they have finished?? I have read about adding "dirty sound" to the end but that has not worked for me and is not really an answer the sound files were originally recorded in a sound studio and sound very proffessional me trying to mess about with the sounds is not a good result. I beleive that this issue was raised as far back as Captivate 6 so does anyone have a workable solution. I have checked the fade in fade out they are both set to 0 so this is not the cause. PLEASE PLEASE HELP captivate is so frustrating when things dont go right..... 

I have a Captivate course that plays through our LMS that’s scoring some people an 88% and others a 100% when they all get 9/9 questions correct. Anyone have any ideas what could be going wrong? 

Hello, I have a course with a custom TOC which is available during the final exam. If a learner leaves mid FE to visit any of the slides before it, when they return to the FE they get stuck and cannot progress to the next questions. I know it is probably not recommended to allow learners to leave during a final exam, but its a possibility that they might go looking for answers. How would I allow them to return to the question from where they left off in the final exam? Or if this is not possible, how would I be able to reset the final exam whenever they return to it? I guess the other option would be to disable the custom TOC while the FE is in progress. I have already tried this by setting up AA On Enter for each of the questions. This did not work for some reason and the buttons in my custom TOC were still active once the first question appeared, but then were disabled after clicking the home icon to return to the start - very strange.  I do not hav

Good Morning all, I have a simple if-then-else action, to toggle answers on a custom question slide basically:IFv_1 is equal to 0ACTIONChange state of item 1 to selectedAssign v_1 with 1ELSEChange state of item 1 to normalAssign v_1 with 0 The problem I am having is a bit weird. When I try to save the action I get the appropriate message and click ok. As soon as I click ok my Assign variable turns to an incomplete action I just get a blank box and need to re-select the variable.   I am using the most up to date version of Captivate and I should point out that I have taken and merged two programs recently created to modify into one version, and have used this same action with different items/ variables sucessfully in the previous version. Also each variable has it's own individual label. However the item is named the same as the variable, as shown below.   

HiI thought there was possible to add markers in the time line in Captivate 2019. That you could add a marker and then put a action script to a button to jump to that marker.Is this not an option in 2019?

Dear all I am using the business QSP and I can't find anywhere how to edit the vertical accordion in terms of adding one more coloumn for example and even editing the text that appears with every click   another slide I was never able to figure out how to edit altogether, was the do's and don'ts slide   where is the other state that I can edit the text and images in in order to show when the numbered object is clicked   it is very difficult to find answers even by searching online for the same questions

Is it possible to adjust variables or have any kinds of advanced interactions on 360 slides (VR)?For some background, I'm creating a "scavenger hunt" style game and I wanted to display a text box/image to appear once all of the hotspots have been visited. I know there is a default message that appears when all hotspots have been clicked but it's not very noticeable and disappears after a couple seconds (as far as I'm aware it can't be adjusted).I understand this would be easier in a "guided" 360 slide because I could just pause and play between interactions but in "exploratory" mode the user can click any object in any order.Any help would be appreciated.

Was there an update last week that caused all of our trainings to suddenly stop expanding when the window is expanded to full screen?  When opening the training in our LMS, it opens as a smaller screen.  When we click to expand to full screen, the training window stays the same size.  All the white space in the photo below is the rest of the screen that the training slide won't fill in.  This just started last week and seems to be affecting even old trainings (from last year).Thanks,
