Are there any differences in terms of functionality between a full Presenter license and a Student/Teacher license? Thanks.

Hi everyone I have a lot of bookmarks in my Project (on Slides with mp4 or on CPVC Slides,...).I used option "Jump to bookmark" - everything works perfect.But wenn I create an advanced action with "Jump to bookmark", the action looks like fine, but after clicking "OK" turned it to "Continue" and of course the action doesn't works.  Thank you for any help!    

I have a SCORM 1.2 training that has a lot of branching, but on the LMS the score reported by the LMS is hard to get over 40% even though I know I should be at 100% About my training:It actually has no quiz. I have multiple objects on each slide with Actions - Reporting - Include in quiz - 1 Point - Add to Total. On a single slide I may have 4 objects reporting that change the state of an object on the same slide. I have other objects reporting that have an action "Jump to slide."This means that a single slide may have 4 or 5 objects a user will need to click for a passing grade. It is setup more as a completion than a quiz. In the LMS I will go through the training and click everything and still only get a score of 40% but sometimes it might be 38%. Because of the branching, I may not always click on objects in the same order each time. I have the LMS set to "Send Data On Every Slide." Does this mean that if I click on an object with an action "Jump to slide,"  it

Hi all,I've been using Captivate now for the last few years, and in all that time I still haven't mastered importing videos into my projects. I make all my videos from scratch using Final Cut Pro, but when I import them into a project they can be very unreliable, in particular when using them on mobile devices. I'm wondering whether using Adobe Media Server could be the solution to my problem. The only thing is I've being playing around with it for the last few days and I don't have a clue how to use it!!So what I want to know is:1. Does this sound like a possible solution to my problem with playing videos in Captivate? 2. What is the difference between using AMS to stream videos in a Captivate Project in comparison to simply uploading the MP4?3. Where can I find a step by step guide as to how I can achieve all this. I've tried following the instructions on the AMS support page but it really is getting me no where!Thanks in advance,Diarmuid

Hello, I'm using Captivate 2019. When I'm published a course for my client, there is no problem to publish it with the LMS (Scorm 1.2). The problem is now, that, when the user close the course before answering the questions at the end, the LMS anyway shows the course in the LMS as „done“. Naturally we want, that the course will be show as still open until all the questions in quiz at the end will be done and also all slides will be seen by the user. Naturally I choose the settings in the selection that the course will be finished when all questions be answered and also all slides will be seen. What’s wrong?? I can’t find the mistake … 

I think I need to do this with advanced actions/variables and not use the inherent captivate quiz slides, but just for giggles, I'll pose this to see if anyone has any thoughts. I'm not too deep so I can start over. I have a big project. 10 sections. Each section concludes with a 3 question quiz.  Nothing is scored, or sent to an LMS.  It's a study tool. I do have advanced actions/variables setup to show how many they got right ont he final question slide of each section I want the inhernet quiz of captivate to reset after they complete a section. There's no ending quiz results slide, so the retake button is out.  I used a little javascript to reset $$cpQuizInfoAttempts$$ to 0, but that didn't work. It does not look as if the quiz can be reset without sending a user to the Quiz results slide.

Hi,This is my first Captivate recording.  I uploaded a power point and then recorded the narrative for each slide.  The beginning and end of each slide has approximately 1-2 seconds lead/lag.  When I published to mp4, I now have large lags between some of the slides (not all).  Some of the lags are 2 minutes.  I don't know what to do to resolve this.Thank you.

We have a project that has a playbar that appears on every slide except it has disappeared from the last content slide.  It isn't a question slide.  All the other slides in the project show the slidebar. 

Hello,I am using Captivate 2019. When I publish a project to HTML that contains event videos, I have the perfect video skin (just the right buttons for controling the video that I want), but it auto hides when the video plays. So the user has to move the mouse to the bottom to see the controls. Is there anyway to diable auto hide on the skin contols. It works fine in preview and EXE, the skin and buttons stay visable, this is only happening when publishing to HTML which is a must for me.  Thanks in advance. Brian

It has a steep learning curve – meaning, it will take some time to figure out how to use it effectively.Those who have used different tools feel that Adobe Captivate is not as intuitive as a lot of other eLearning authoring tools.

I worked on a project which has audio attached to some layers, so when the slide plays, it stops when it reaches a button, the audio starts, when the button is clicked, the audio stops and the slide continues. It works on desktop, but when tested on Android, the audio attached to those layers won't work as expected, sometimes it won't let me click the button until the audio finishes, and sometimes the audio won't start until I click the button, or it won't stop and keep on playing when the next audio starts, very strange and random behaviour. I've tested with advanced actions, and got the same result.I found out it will only work right if I place an animation effect on the layer which has the audio attached. This has been my only workaround and it works when tested on Andorid / iOSAm I doing anything wrong or is this another bug for version 2019 (11.5.1.499)? Should I stick to this workaround?

I developed a 32 hour course with captivate years ago and updated it in captivate 2019.  It is flash based and now that flash is finished, how do I update the existing courses to html with the least amount of pain?

Hello everyone! We are new captivate users but experienced connect users. We needed captivate for it's promise of "easy" and "seamless" integration with Connect. (We are using the Meeting hosted licensing of Connect). And before anyone asks, yes, I need to use a Captivate quiz inside of Connect. It's the right tool for my mission -- and Adobe touts the integration.Bottom line up front: Captivate Quiz works properly onscreen inside Connect but does not report results to "internal server" via Connect, but does report via browser (albeit with an error.)Specifics:Step 1. We have no problem creating a quiz in Captivate. Works great.Step 2. Upload that quiz to Adobe connect via the "Publish to Adobe Connect". Works great. Select both SWF and HTML5 buttons on the output format. Log into our Connect, select the content folder, done. Add that file to a share pod.. Perfect.Step 3. Ok, now how do I view? I right-click on the mouse object in the timeline, then selecting the option to "use the current mouse pointer for all slides."It isn't working. I have to manually edit each mouse pointer on all slides.The project was recorded and is being edited in the same version of Captivate, on the same computer.

I'm new to Captivate, and I can't seem to find a way to track the time that the participant has been on the course or quiz. Does anyone have a solution, or can they point me somewhere to help me find a solution? The timer widgets are swf files and are not a feasible solution.Thank you.

I added a YouTube video to my project and it does not load when viewed in iOS. It works on desktop browsers. Any ideas or other ways to insert the video? It doesn't seem that there is another option.

How do you configure a rollover caption so that the audio stops playing when the mouse leaves the rollover area?

Hello there,We have a request to get the status from the player as a learner is watching a video.  We get the slide status reporting properly to the LRS, but the player status doesn't report. I've tried a locally hosted video and a you tube video with no luck. Is there a setting or something that enables this reporting?Thank you, 

I am using a text-entry box in an interactive quiz question. It features a form that employees need to be able to fill in properly. They need to know which box to enter a dollar amount in, and I am using a text entry box with the correct dollar amount as the correct answer. However, even though I made the text entry box white to blend in with the form, when I previewed the slide, there is a flashing cursor. I do not want this as the whole point is for the employees to know where to fill the information in on the form, and I do not want to give away the answer with a flashing cursor.  How do you turn this feature off so that there is no cursor in the text entry box?  If this is impossible, any other suggestions? Thanks.
