I have a very basic project with a video presentation. At the end of the video there is a 10 question quiz. If the participant fails the quiz there is a slide with two buttons, one which prompts them to retake the quiz and another which prompts them to rewatch the video.When I preview this project from Captivate, the buttons perform the correct actions. When I test it from a server the butons also work as intended. The client has tested it on their Workday Environment and the buttons also work as intended there. The problem arises when people take the test from the company LMS. They are reporting issues getting the quiz to launch again once they've rewatched the video. I have checked the settings and actions for both buttons and cannot identify the issue. Is it possible that this is a problem with the LMS and not the project? Are there any known instances of incongruence between Captivate and an LMS

Hello, i have a problem with star record in the adobe presenter.

I’m having problems with a quiz slide.  This slide is set up for the user to select 4 correct options.  When I preview this slide, it works fine for me. However, when I try publishing it, I can’t select one of the correct options, and thus I can't answer the quiz correctly. Has anyone ever had this issue or have any idea how to resolve this?

I am working on my first captivate project, and I ran across this problem:I have a multi-state Smarktshape-Button. It's a simple rectangle with a text on top. both change colors depending on the integrated state roll-over.This button is then hidden / made visible with a different button in my navigation.By default it is not visible and is both marked as invisible in the object's properties (eye icon next to its name) and in the timeline. It is however set to show for "rest of project" due to its link with the navigation. So far everything works fine. My problem is that this only hides the rectangular shape of the button but not the text in my project view. When publishing the project everything works as expected, but while working on the project I have the text of the button square in the middle of my project at all times which is rather annoying.In this state it behaves as if it was invisible as it's not clickable, but it never disappears. Just that really. I spent yesterday afternoon trying to fix my project which was skipping a fill-in-the-blank question when published to a Totara LMS using SCORM 1.2. This morning I published it using my second machine, which hasn't had the hotfix installed yet, and it worked first time. (No, I'm not going to remove then re-install the hotfix on the first machine to confirm this.)

Is there away to zoom in and out of a specific area when you're recording a live video?The tutorials I've seen show the individual editing the video and them zooming in that way.  I'm wondering if there's a way to do it WHILE recording my screen.

I have a slide with a Learning Interaction in it (specifically, the Accordian) and I need to print the entire project for an editing run, including what's in the Accordian. Generally speaking, I'm not a fan of the export options, but I don't have a choice in this case. Anything I've tried doesn't include the text from the interaction widget. Any way I can get that to happen?

Is the only way to be able to preview the changes on ONE slide in Cap2019 HTML5 is to output the ENTIRE file then scroll through to the affected slide? This chews up a lot of time and resources. When I try and preview different timeline actions I have found that Menu/Preview/Play Slide does not work. I represent a trade school that is closed due to the virus.  They wish to conduct online training courses to their students.  The course content includes a lot of graphics. Can anyone recommend an Adobe solution(s).

When I try to publish a program it always has the same title in the title line. I override it so the right project name is saved and then it just comes back.  How do I get rid of this and make is so the program publishes the name of the file being worked on?

Using Captivate 2019.  I have published as HTML5 to my company's server.  Published file works great, however I have a PDF'd PowerPoint that needs to open in Adobe vs. browser - reason being is that Adobe's Notes function that picks up the PowerPoint slide notes when  saving a PowerPoint as a PDF doesn't work in the browser.  Is there any way for me to ensure Captivate published file opens this document in Adobe Acrobate vs. browser.  Or any other input is welcome.. maybe I am not thinking about this correctly.  The PDF document is posted on a shared intranet, and it will open in Adobe Acrobat, however when accessing through the Captivate published file, it is always the browser. Thanks!John

Hello. I created a project as a marketing tool for a school program that I teach for. Therefore I want to be able to send it to multiple people who do not have Captivate installed, nor want to download a nearly 500 MB zip file. Ideally, I just want to give people a link and they be able to view the project. What is the simplest way to do this? I’ve tried hosting it to my Adobe e-learning blog but the post has been left on pending for two weeks now, therefore I am the only one able to view it. I don’t need any reporting, I just need the potential candidates for my program to be able to view it. Thank you.

I am trying to convert some training from Silverlight to Adobe Captivate. I thought it wouldn't be too hard. However I am a bit confused on how to make it follow the old training requirements.  “To complete this course:· First take each module's pre-test. Correct answers will allow you to test out of some topics.· Once you select a pre-test, you must answer the questions and submit it for grading before you can move on.· A pre-test answer highlighted green indicates a correct answer and red indicates an incorrect answer. Where applicable, references will be displayed with incorrect answers.· After completing a pre-test, look at the course menu. If a menu title has turned green, you do not need to review that topic any further (though you may want to).· Menu titles not highlighted green must be reviewed. Green indicates completion of a topic and/or a module.· The course is complete when all modules turn green.” I tried using the pretest but it doesn't seem to let me know

Hi. I have several videos in my Cp project placed with "Progressive Download" video type. When I follow the project compiled from a mobile device, only in this case, they load very slow. The wiffi is the same as if I see the project from a PC, here they are correct in speed and load well.The configuration that I have in the videos is (AVC. A264, compression rate of 1024mb video and 96Kb audio).

Hi - new to Adobe Captivate 2019 and noticed in order to be able to use "Animations" - I need to open an additional subscription to Adove Animate - is that true? Does anyone know any other tools out there that can create the .oma files?Thanks in advance.

Hello, I am wondering if there is an option to create a download link for example for some Graphics or PDF File on my captivate Project. I want to have a Button, where the user can click on it and download a file I preapared. Do you think that is possible? If yes, I would appreciate if someone can help me with that issue.  Regards! 

Hello, I have still been using captivate 9 until now. That means I am not have any experience with captivate 2017 in the 2019.I did read a lot of material and blog posts but it is still very daunting.I have a question regarding creating a custom navigation bar for a responsive Project.In older projects I created a new navigation bar and hid the standard one.  It was a group of buttons with image fill that were shown for "rest of project" that I simply hid for the quiz slides and so on. So now, responsive projects do sound appealing but I seem to understand that the old way won't work anymore as the whole "adjust to any screen automatically" principle is fundamentally different. Do I have to creative a fluid box for every pause, play, Show table of context button? As I understand I cannot put a a button somewhere on top of fluid boxes.I guess child fluid boxes within a parent fluid box is the way to go? Or is there an easier or more versatile way? I may be

I am attempting to build a slide that allows me to click on a subject title. This will then, ideally, present the content to appear at a designated area of the slide. When the other subject titles are clicked (three in total) it hides the previous content, and will show the new informaton.  However, as transitions seem to be time-bound, are transitional effects not available for advanced actions? I presume .show will just literately set an object from hidden, to show without any FX? In this case, is there no action that works directly on the timeline and manipulates it's position? Therefore, I could design the slide as one continual movie, with appropriate stops set, and upon a click of a button it would set the timeline to say 00.07? Is this possible at all?  I am not very familiar with Captivate, but it seems a pretty clunky experience, with an ability to design anything that works vaguely well needing the domain of software developers. Hi, I have some long answers as part of my multiple choice questions and the text is being squished together. I tried increasing the spacing in the master slide, but that gave a different spacing then what my issue needed. Any thoughts? Thank you.

I'm trying to install Captivate 2019 for Windows in a virtual machine on my Mac since the native Mac version of Captivate has such abysmal performance (seriously Captivate devs, can't you do something about this already?). I've downloaded the installer in Windows 10, but when I try to run it, I get the message:Insufficient disk space. Please check minimum requirements and free up disk space to try again.But my virtual machine shows 219 GB of available disk space (and only 36.7 GB used). Surely that's not "insufficient disk space." I've deleted and re-downloaded the installer from the Adobe website with the same results.Any suggestions?

Hello, I am not new to Captivate but I am new to using XML in Captivate. In the past I have created courses using Flash and XML to create dynamic, scalable, and resuseable course content. With Flash obsolete and my new company using only Captivate, I wish to create course content in XML and bring it in to Captivate to drive the course data. I have found very little to no reference on how this is done except one video from 2014 by Pooja Jaisingh (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1ZfG47k24k). I followed her steps but I don't currently have a webserver set up to test. Anyhow, I am looking for help and reference material to help me get started. I need some handholding LOL   I have attached my files so you can take a look at what I have set up. Is this the best way to create XML data driven courses?  Is there more or better reference out there for me to look at?   **Update: My captivate file will not load into this forum

Is there a similar feature to aggregator in Captivate 6 that could aggregate HTML5 modules?

I just got a new laptop today from my employer and they had to reinstall Captivate 9.  Something weird happened, I saw the IT person open a file and change a number and now by menus and thumbnails are TINY.  As in, I can barely see them.  It's impossible to work.  This is NOT a Windows 10 setting.  I've played with the Display and graphics and it changes everything BUT Captivate.  I know it's the file she changed in setup. Can anyone save my life and tell me what file she could have possibly changed so I can fix this problem?  of course nobody in IT is returning my calls and I am absolutely desperate.  Please help!
