I am using Windows 11 system. When I try to install trial Captivate version, I am getting below error. Please help - Update required. Your browser or operating system is no longer supported. You may need to install the latest updates to your operating system.

I made an interactive quiz during a video and when the quiz popped up and I answered it takes me out of the videocan I get back to complete the video after answering the quiz?

Hi everyone.  I am trying to add some character poses to my Adobe 12 project.  For some reason each of the characters (29) is saying they have 0 poses.  I saw them a couple of weeks ago, but for some reason they are not available to use at all.  My first thought was that the folder they live in was moved or corrupted or something, but I am unable to find the folder that the assets live in.  I don't know if the install is corrupted or something, but I'm kind of stuck until I can correct this.Any help someone can provide would be very appreciated. Thanks

Hola, a todos y muchas gracias por la ayuda. Tengo Captivate 2019 y solo he realizado un proyecto hasta ahora y ha sido un infierno. No funciona la tecla de los acentos cuando se escribe en Captivate directamente. Si funciona por ejemplo en la pantallita de Ortografía pero no en el resto. Cuando la pulsas y luego pulsas la vocal no pasa nada. Es como si no la reconociera en ese momento en concreto. He cambiado los teclados de Mac, he instalado la última versión y nada .... Alguien sabe como solucionarlo? El tema es que la productividad es nefasta por que tengo que escribir todo en la palabra y pegarlo en cautivar y cada modificación hacerlo lo mismo. Lo que debería tardar 1 minuto son 5. Alguien lo ha resultado porque en el servicio técnico me están dando, cada vez que abro una incidencia me la cierran a los tres días sin darme largas respuesta.  Si lo se me voy a Articulate.

I am using adobe Classic (2019).  I search the community but I couldn't find a written script that I can copy to my course. Could someone please help me by writing a javascript that will close the course due to inactivity after some seconds while keeping their progress saved and a certain message as a pop up once the course is closed like "you course is closed due to inactivity". I am new to Captivate and have no experience in JS. Course will be published in SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004. Please also advise if JS needs to be added to each slide as an advance action or on just one slide and it will work for the whole course.

Let's try this one last time. Two projects. One created from the CP healthcare template with buttons, images, text to speech etc. One created from a blank project. Both play fine locally on my PC. Both of these are housed in a publicly available Instructure Canvas site. The one from the Healthcare template plays with the buttons and audio if I am logged into Canvas AND when I am accessing it publicly. The one I created from a blank project only plays locally on my PC or when I am logged it Canvas. When I remove my manually inserted back and next button from the project I created from a blank project, it then works either way.. Why would one project with the same features play fine and another not play and why would the buttons keep it from playing? After many years of using Captive I would rather not revert back to PowerPoint or switch to Storyline. Please advise!!

I hope this is the correct location for this post. I created a Captivate Classic project that includes images, text, and audio narration using the text to speech tool. I published it as html 5 and uploaded it to a publicly available Canvas site. If I am logged into Canvas, it plays fine. From outside it partially loads the first “slide” and then I receive the loading message and it never loads. That being said, I uploaded the healthcare template that comes with Captivate. I added some text to speech audio and it plays fine from the same Canvas site. It plays when logged in AND when I am not logged in to Canvas as it should since the Canvas site is public.   MP4s etc also play for individuals who are not logged into the public  Canvas site so it isn't a Canvas issue. The Healthcare template plays fine on my Windows  machine, Mac, and phone and even plays the text to speech but not the project I created without a template. Please advise.

I recently upgraded to 12.4 and I am no longer able to delete image blocks in a  project previously created in 12.3. Clicking on the image and pressing the delete key does not do it. Selection the item in the timeline and pressing delete does not work either. Any ideas as to why?

I cannot find the Question Properties. The Help video said to go to Visual Properties > Alignment and Spacing as it should be there. Appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

When I open the softwarte and click to create a new project it gets stuck with a spinning load wheel. I have to force close the software. ONly way I've been able to start a new course is to open an old course and save as a new project. Any idea why it is behaving this way?

I've set up a print button (still can't make it print an A4 certificate) but I don't want the print button to be printed.So how can I make it disappear momentarily once print button is clicked.Can anyone help me... Whenever I try to do cmd + anything (undo, redo, group select, select all...) it plays that "dok!" sound effect you typically only hear if you attempt an invalid function in other apps.  This is NOT about disabling a sound when someone plays my file.This is about the Captivate Classic app/software itself making the sound when I, as the developer, try to use keyboard shortcuts.  Please answer this if you have experienced this with your MacBook and have managed to make this stop. If you do not use a Mac and do not know of this problem, please do not feel pressured to reply here. Thank you.  

Hello!Is it possible to move a project in Adobe Captivate Classic version 11.8.3.8 to the all new Adobe Captivate version 12.4.0.20? 

What kind of program is this? You can't customize it and it doesn't work properly. It just suddenly shut down in the middle of hours of work. It said to restart with the backup file. I did and it didn't save anything, there is no backup file.    [abuse removed by moderator]

I keep getting an unexpected error when i try to group/nest quiz slides. It causes the softwarwe to go to a whie screen and I ahve to force close and reopen teh project. Any thoughts on how to fix this?  See screenshot attachment.

Hi All, I've inserted few short videos on a slide that should run automatically upon entering and just loops, I dont have the intention of maintaining its original ratio (Vids1.png), but when I previewed the slide it goes back to its original eventhough it has been modified and locked (Vids2.png). Can you please let me know if its really possible to do on Captivate Classic 11.8? Thank you.

Hello everyone,I have a German Captivate installation. Sometimes I produce English content, and sometimes German content.However, when I embed videos, they show the usual control buttons (Play, etc.), and the tool-tip text for these buttons is in German. This is, of course, quite problematic for English content.Is there a solution to quickly adjust these tool-tip texts?Thanks in advance.

I am having trouble with an LMS called Percipio. I have tested my scorm in cloud.scorm.comit passes. When I send it to Percipio LMS.  Some of my usese who pass the test do not get regitered, but some do for the same course. Has anyone had troubles using Percipio before. I will recommend my client not to use them since they cannot give me any support on this isssue, and keep telling me it is the scorm file not taking any of the blame.   I just want to know if anyone else has had good or bad luck with them.ThanksM 

This question is similar to this one: https://community.adobe.com/t5/captivate-discussions/prevent-users-from-retaking-quiz/td-p/5967503  I want to prevent a student from seeing other pooled quiz questions after they have passed a quiz and received a passing score from the LMS (Oracle HCM Learn). I created a quiz with one attempt, complete on Pass/Fail, and no reviews.  The first slide contains a button that will either either let them start the quiz (Continue) or send them to the last slide where they are told that they have already passed and to close the window (Jump to Slide). On the button I used Advanced Actions and set cpQuizInfoPassFail to 1 if they had passed previously. On the first attempt after loading into my dev server, the button directed me to the quiz (good!) where I passed it. I closed and the LMS recorded a passing score (good!). When I reopened the quiz I clicked the button and it did not send me to the last slide, it sent me to the beginnin

Has anything been done about printing A4 (certificates etc) in Captivate Classic:In older versions, someone created a widget but it didn't work in html publishing, is there a modern version of it.  I've seen an EvolveMedia widget online but not sure about it and whether this offers html publishing potential Otherwise, are there other solutions to help with this, including how to use Advanced Actions to help hide the printer button when printing.Any help, advice or signposting would be greatly appreciated 

While viewing asset properties in the project library, some files display the entire path to the linked asset. Example below - note how the full path is shown:Others, do not show the full path. Note how this only shows the image name:Now the problem is that when I go to Update/Import/Edit... the image, the no path assets can't find the linked file. After I browse to the correct file and hit "Open" to relink it, Captivate still does not remember the path I JUST put in. Hitting Update/Import/Edit... does the exact same thing even though I had just relinked it. This is occurring on multiple Captivate projects and on two separate computers so I'd have to think it's the software. There is no rhyme or reason (that we can find) as to why some show and allow the full linked path and others don't. Need help ASAP. These no path assets aren't rendering with the same resolution quality on publish as is saved in the source file. Thanks!Brad

Hello,  This is for preview mode only. Play bar is disabled. I have a "try again" button on the last slide of the trainings that brings you back to the 2nd slide (first slide is the title page). When you go through the training the second time the click boxes work but the failure state does not. So an end user could be clicking anywhere but the click box and nothing appears. (all other states are disabled) For the input field, the text that the end user had submitted on the first pass through is still visible and you cannot move past that slide. Hitting enter, clicking....nothing. This is an issue for all the trainings I created but only on the 2nd pass through. Anyone else have this issue? I would guess its working as designed, and I can see why the input fields would function this way, but the click boxes not displaying the failure is silly. Anyone have any solutions to this issue? I still need to play it as SCORM files in the Cornerstone appliction we use for e-learnings b

Hello, I am working on a course on Captivate, including some full-screen videos. On tablet and mobile previews, the videos don't rotate and don't go full-screen. How can I change this behavior?Thanks
