Hi, I had a problem with an mp4 event video playing on desktop but not on mobile. It took me several hours of testing to isolate the problem, so I wanted to share what I found here in case other people run into the same issue. Here's where the problem occurred: My application has multiple event video screens. The first video played properly on both desktop and mobile. However, the second video only played on desktop, but on mobile, tapping the play button would just select the entire screen and not play the video. Screen details:First video screen (3 objects): event video, button (back), button (next); On Enter: PauseSecond video screen (2 objects): event video, button (done); On Enter: Pause Solution: The only way I could get the second video to play on mobile was to rearrange the order of the buttons and video objects on each screen. Hello, I’m trying to make an online course using Adobe Captivate. As part of the course, I would like learners to input their reflections into a text entry box and be able to download their response as a pdf. Eventually, the idea is that they will be able to keep this for themselves, and then send it to me for assessment. So, in short, is it possible to create a button that exports the slide or just their answers as a pdf, word document or in some other appropriate format? It would be even better if they could do this at the end of the project, and export all of their responses at once. Any help with this will be hugely appreciated and thank you in advance,Ben  

When returning to a slide I don't want the audio to play again.  There are buttons on the original slide that navigates to other slides and returns to the original slide to select another button or to go to the next slide.

I have a simple quiz that needs one thing for it to be completewhen the user answers a question usually there is a msg feedback whether it's right or wrong plus a written msg that says click anywhere to continue and it stays frozen for some time.is there a way to make the quiz go forward without having to click somewhere and without waiting lots of time?

Hi!I have a project which one of the requirement is "Responsive". I stopped building responsive projects long ago due to the nature of my projects which I normally do. They involve multiple interactions in the same slide (multiple shapes overlapped/hide/show/etc) in which some are not possible to be done in fluid boxes. I also tried break point but again my customers doesn't use common devices,I tried long ago to build a course in break point and came to realise that the course was fitting well in devices with same dimensions I have used but for the other devices the screen looked blur like scalable HTML5 does. Break point offers limited number of devices which I can add in breakpoint (by the way I can not add all device sizes). The only option which might suit well in my project is "Scalable HTML5" but the problem with this, the images,text,video will look blur if you try accessing from different device dimension from the one you used. We all know mobile devices are now part of o

Group, I am hoping someone can point me to a blog or youtube video I have missed in my hours of research.Objective: 7 options on a slide. The learner clicks the right ones. If it is right, it goes green and if it is wrong it goes red. See image below.I taught myself this, my first problem. Everytime I play it, it will not allow me to select all the answers. It just stops. Does someone have a good example on which to go off of for the actual If statements????  Please dear God someone have pity. Hello, I am using Captivate 8 and trying to meet the accessibility guidelines in terms of the user being able to use a speech recognition software like WSR or Dragon to give commands and navigate the eLearning without the use of their hands. At this point this seems impossible. I have gone through all the usual troubleshooting, making sure 'enable accessibility' is ticked in Project Settings, have labelled my buttons under the 'Accessibility' menu and still no joy. I have tried this in preview from Captivate itself, hosted on the LMS, previewed in the browser locally and so on. What am I missing?

Hi -How do I post a temlate people can use? It's in the form of a zipped captivate project. Below is the description I wrote for it. I hope this is helpful to people. This is an example project of filming a person talking with two separate cameras, then changing back and forth between camera angles. And also occasionally showing a picture all in the samae mp4 video. I filmed that with two panasonic cameras, edited in video editing software (camtasia 2019), then imported the mp4 with both angles and greenscreen removed to captivate. Then created a knowledge check. Enjoy

I have seen old threads about this but see no resolution other than to possibly make a new slide. Has anyone had any luck with figuring out why the sub bullets do not align correctly in a Responsive Project when /previewed/published. In the working file it is correct. First pic is a snip of it published. Second is working file.

I have SmartShapes as buttons that hide once selected and increment a variable by 1. This way, Captivate and the User know when they've selected all the buttons on the slide, a new button appears allowing them to proceed. If the user exits the course partially through it, my LMS administrator is telling me that the selected/hidden buttons are becoming visible again on re-entry and has to start over. We would like the buttons to retain their visibility state (as well as the variable count). Is that possible? The course has bookmarking enabled (that was by default, nothing I did) and is an HTML course. Is there something I am missing for this to be possible? Thanks in advance. Edit: I saw I had "Send Tracking Data at End" in the quiz preferences on. I changed it back to Default template so it sends data on every slide. We noticed that my variable DOES bookmark its count if you exit the course and re-enter. However, the object visibility does not retain still. Any help is g

I've created a drag and drop interaction and checked the box to have it included as a question in my quiz.   On the reporting, side the other question types show the question text as it appears in the quiz Because there was no default questin text, the drag and drop question or description shows as null. Is it possible to add a text box and assign it a value so the question text will show instead of null?   

I have added a YouTube video to Captivate 9 using the Slide video tool. I have removed the Skin and have added my own play/pause and mute/unmute buttons. When the slide opens the video begins to play and about 3 seconds in the "more videos" pops up at the bottom of the screen and pauses the video. You can restart the video using the play/pause button but this will happen at least one or two more time before the two and half mintue video is done. Can I prevent these pop-ups? Thanks,Ragan

Hi,I'm not allowed to upload an 11 MB Captivate file (Captivate 2019 .cptx file) as an attachment into this forum, because "the contents of the attachment doesn't match its file type." What is the problem with uploading captivate files? Is there a size limit?Thanks.

Hello. I used the trail version to create several projects. My company then purchased Captivate 2019 for me and I downloaded through our software center. Note: I did not recieve a license for the trial version I was using, the licensed version was a seperate download and the trial version was deleted. Now I find that none of the projects I was working on will load. I get the same error for every single one of them.  I have tried the "work around" on Adobe's support page used for when the above error is displayed with no luck. Does anyone know why this is happening. I can eliminate a few of the listed problems. It is not that is is open, It is not insufficient resources or hard disk space. Which only leaves damaged file. I find it hard to belive that all of them (10 projects) are now corrupt given that they worked fine the last day of the trial. The trial did end before I recieved the licensed version. Thank you.  

As above - if I do a screenshot of application window I cannot paste it into Captivate.I *can* paste it into FireWorks, PowerPoint etc.  Why is this please?  What can I do about it?CheersDave

I have a project with a bunch of Videoclips.I control them with a play and pause buttonI also have another button that close down the video.The Pause Button:document.getElementsByTagName("video")[0].pause();document.getElementsByTagName("video")[1].pause();The Play Button:document.getElementsByTagName("video")[0].play();document.getElementsByTagName("video")[1].play();The Close Button:document.getElementsByTagName("video")[1].pause();document.getElementsByTagName("video")[0].pause();$('[id^=video_1]').hide()The prpoblem with this scripts are that the Close button just pause the video and hide the layer.When I then open another video and press play two videos will play. The new one and the one that I closed(hide and paused) by clicking the close button.So is there a way to disable/close a layer to avoid this problem?

Dear community.I've started tweaking my E-learning, and somehow my buttons have become "inactive" (see timeline).They no longer show their roll-over state when hovered over in preview mode, but I'm pretty sure that this inactive thing is the cause of this...But I don't know how to fix it.This has happened to all of my buttons, and I have made a huge effort with a lot of roll-over effects, so I hope we can fix this.  Things I've tried:-Clearing "Cleanpreferences" in the adobe folder.-Clearing cache RegardsRobin
