Captivate

I wanted to implement this but couldnt find any tutorials on it, so i figured it out on my own and im making my own tutorial. Say you want to create a survey with a range and whatever range the user ends up in determines what answer they get.  so in my example with 12 questions the interval notation would be(- infinity, Answer1, 19] or negative infinity < Answer 1 <= 19[20, Answer 2, 28] or 20<= Answer 2 <= 28[29, Answer 3, infinity) or 29 <= Answer 3 <infinity First ready your answer options on the quiz results page.  Make the possible answers on each of the quiz question pages and add a new state to them, make this new state blank.  Name it so you can find it again. I named mine Answer 1 Blank, Answer 2 Blank, Answer 3 Blank Add your questions and possible answers, I added the answers as text boxes with hitboxes on top of them Add your variable, I named it scoreIts a user type and i gave it a default value of 1 Next add the ad

 Since I am not sure if I would be able to run published Adobe Captivate in my WordPress Divi Theme website, I was thinking of having the Captivate modules run on an external LMS. I could have a Preview button from the website link to the LMS.Since I am very new to Moodle, I was wondering if anyone know of any sample Moodle LMS examples that run eLearing Modules already. In addition, could I change the look of my Moodle Cloud to closely match the color scheme that my WordPress website is using?Thanks for your help.  

Hello!  I need to create a test in which the same collections of questions are asked, but in a randomized order.  I see a potential path to use by creating a random question linked to a pool of questions attached to that slide, however I need to be sure that all of the questions appear in the test.  I have two questions:First, if this is indeed the path I need to take, will questions selected from a pool be displayed again if the same pool is used (I suspect this is a strong possibility)?Secondly, is there an easier way to have the questions simply appear in a random order?Thank you!

In a course, I need to create 5 questions from a pool of 10 questions. Initially I tried creating 5 pools that contains 2 questions each and enabled randomisation for 1 question per pool. Every time when I retake the assessment on failure, the same questions will be shown again wihtout any randomisation. Then I tried using 2 pools that contains 5 questions each. This time I have enabled radomisation of 3 from pool 1 and 2 from pool 2. Then also every retake attempt same questions from both pools are repeated. Please suggest how can I create 5 randomised questions from a total of 10 questions. In my course, my client wants randomised questions every time when a learner retake the assessment without exiting the course. Is it possible to make this happen?

Hi - I have a page with 6 images I want to show based on 6 click boxes. My plan (I work with other software as well) was to:- For the first click box: Create an advanced action with all 6 images- Show the first image and hide the other 5- Copy/paste that click Box 5X (with advanced action already done)- Edit the other 5 click boxes' action to simply change Hide to Show as required The problem: When I change Hide to Show, the itme I wish to chnage disappears and has to be reselected.Any way to simply change the Hides and Shows without losing what is alreadt entered?

The application is updated (11.5.0.476) and don't have much else open besides Slack and a browser. I'm on a MacBook Pro and every time I open a project, open the tab order window, and select and object to move I get a spinning wheel and the application becomes non-responsive. This is a big deal since my projects need to be accessible to screen readers.

I'm working on a project in Captivate 2019. I have 4 buttons on a slide covering 4 bits of text/images. I want my users to click on each button to show the information behind it. Hi, I'm trying to make the multiple choice question slide more attractive by changing the line spacing. However the "pop-up caption" doesn't show up in object style manager, and other things I've tried haven't worked. Any advice? tyia!

Hi,I have a drag & drop slide with 4 drag source and 4 drop target, Now I wanted to know which Item is wrong when submit button is pressed and return appropriate feedback. I'm trying to achive this using Advance action through Onsuccess/OnFailure. The problem is that I don't know how I can verify for correct/wrong dropped item using advanced action. Anywaone with this knowlege please assist. 

Is anyone having problems inserting images with Captivate 2019? When I attempt to insert an image onto a slide/stage it instead creates a new slide just after the one I am working on. Then, on that slide that was automatically created I can see the image in the slide sorter on the left, I can see it when I preview the presentation, but I cannot see it on the stage, and it is not listed in the timeline as an image. The image is set as the background of the slide…but it is invisible.Anyone else seen anything like this?

What is the best way to learn to use Captivate for someone with NO learning software development experience.  I have never used any version of Captivate.  I am finding the Introducing Captivate 2019 to be unhelpful as it focuses on new features and functionality (and assumes a base of prior knowledge with earlier versions) vs. teaching someone how to start at the very beginning and use this software.  Where can I find or get actual TRAINING? 

Hi All,In Captivate 2017, whenever I published a project that had links to an external resource (such as a Word document that would open in a new window, for example), Captivate would show me a list of all those resources when I published. (See screenshot below.) I loved this feature because it was like a checklist for me to make sure I included these files in the output folder. I don't get this list when I use Captivate 2019. Is this some option I need to turn on? Or was this removed in this version of Captivate? Thanks,Bernadette

Anyone experience this before? All of a suddent when I go to preview a responsive project (even a brand new project with nothing in it) it gives me the error below. I'm using the latest updated Captivate 2019 on a Mac running OS X Mojave.  I can publish the project just fine, but that's not really a long term solution since it takes much longer to publish, and negates the purpose of previewing, especially when you want to preview the next 5 slides. Previewing all (even in a brand project with 1 blank slide) and previewing next 5 slides gives me this error.

I know how to pull the project captions and closed captions to translate my slides into French, and how to pull my slide notes for translating, however, once I paste those translated slide notes in french back to the slide note section, will it speak in french using the text to audio?

I am trying to add slide audio using the Text to Speech function and I find it pretty robotic sounding. Does anyone else have this issue or am I doing something wrong?

Is there any way to hide and show slides via javascript? Thanks!

Afternoon Adobe community, I'm somewhat of an amateur when it comes to Captivate, but I have a problem with the retake quiz function. Currently, when you run the quiz and fail, the "Retake Quiz" button jumps to the slide with the first question (which is the first question in the GIFT file format). The slide before the first question there is a video you need to watch in order to take the quiz, is there a way in the Advanced Actions to do this? I don't really know where to start.  In addition to this, if a user fails the quiz, before returning to the video I want the button to direct the user to a slide that explains some of the answers before going to the video at the beginning of the quiz to retake it. I created this from the "Responsive Project" template.  If anyone has any idea how to resolve this issue I would be eternally grateful! Cheers, Martin

Hi everyone,I'm trying to export a Captivate file. It works perfectly as SCORM and also as Executable, but when I export the same file as video, the result is very weird. After a few seconds of correctly showing the content, the screen fades into white, the audio goes on, and the content sometimes show up behind a white overlay. Anyone ever experiences anything similar?Any suggestions are welcome.Thank you,Bernadett  

I am using Captivate 2019 for my projects. When I publish the html output, I could view the course loading in the html page which is touching the html header. How can I publish the page as the centre of an html page.

Hi, I have created a course in Adobe Captivate 2019. There are content as well as quiz slides in the course. I uploaded the course on LMS, for the first time the course is running fine. But when user revisit the course and trying to navigate to the quiz slide, he/she is not able to visit the quiz. The quiz slide is not coming after first attempt and the course get stuck on the first slide itself. Also when I published the course, it successfully published in HTML5 version, but when I tried to publish in SWF format it shows me an error below.  I feel that the issue is related to this error. Can anyone please help me!!!

I have a slide with term buttons that when clicked shows the definition of the terms via the state view. The user is allowed to click back and forth on the buttons as much as they want. I also have a "Continue" button at the bottom to allow the users to move on after they have finished looking at everything. My problem is that if they wait between clicking the term buttons for over the length of the timing of the slide and then click one of the term buttons, it automatically moves on to the next slide. Even though I have the "Continue" button set to pause the project until the user clicks it. (I have also tried to make the Continue button a click box that pauses the project until user clicks it. Still does not work.) Do I have to set a crazy long slide length to prevent this from happening? 

When we copy files from other system the properties (color, stroke, stroke color etc) of highlighted checkbox getting change.

Losing the advance script added to object when a file is copied from other system.
