Captivate

Buen dia comunidad, estoy tratando hace dias de colocar los acentos en un elearning en idioma español, y no logro hacerlo, las preferencias de ortografía están en idioma español, tengo una Mac y no logro colocarlos con la tecla a la izquierda del return.Por otro lado cuando creo una diapositiva y le agrego audio, en el momento en que el audio está andando la diapositiva desaparece aun poniendole vista previa.A alguien le ha pasado lo mismo y ha podido resolverlo?

When I Open my projects I'm getting this message, "This project will be updated to the latest version of Captivate. Once the project is upgraded, you cannot open the project in a previous version of Captivate. We recommend that you take a backup of the project before saving it." I have questions:How do I "take a backup of the project"? Until now, I backup on SharePoint or OneDrive.Will the back up open and save without being updated to the latest version?Is there a way to save without the project being updated?  I'm on a Mac running Ventura, if that makes a difference. Thanks 

Is the Multi SCO package no longer available in the New Captivate? I cannot find the option anywhere.

My issue in question relates to a slide video.  I have it built with play/pause buttons included, that play and pause the timeline (and the video).  I also have some bookmarks inserted to loop the video to the beginning, if the user remains on the slide.  And there is a radio group/multiple choice interactive component, with Submit button, that the user has to select in order to move forward.  This project has multiples of these slide videos; when the user answers the multiple choice question and clicks the Submit button, during the transition from one video slide to the next (Slide A to Slide B), for a few brief seconds the Slide A video plays (like an overhang) while transitioning to Slide B.  I have tried to program some actions to occur when the Submit button is pressed (re: Stop media and Pause Timeline).  Neither action stops this 'overhang' from occurring. For context, I am working in the new Captivate (version 12.2) program.  I haven't up

Hi I have a simulation Demo, Training and Assessment modes. In the Training and Assessment modes, I want to give two attempts.1.   On getting it wrong (clicking anywhere outside the Click Box) on the 1st attempt I want the learner to try again. So, I have a given  Failure Caption "Incorrect, please try again.".2.   On the 2nd incorrect attempt, I want to give a feedback "Incorrect" and continue to next slide automatically. I have set the number of attempts to 2 and action on Last Attempt to "Continue". But before it continues, I am getting the "Incorrect, please try again" feedback, which is not right as there is no way to try again. Where am I going wrong? How to get it right? One of my biggest gripes with Captivate is it's almost reliable unreliability toward the end of a project. I am nearing the end of a time-sensitive project that previously worked without issue, and in the last few days has been intermittently sloooow. Previously perfectly synced audio and captions are now out-of-sync. One a few slides (but not all) a Mac "sad face" icon showed up at the top of the timeline.  I do not have time for this. I've tried making sure any imported images are as small as possible so as not use up too much space. I do use multi-state objects a lot to cycle through content instead of breaking it up into multiple slides...Could that be it?  In any case, if anyone here has seen this Mac icon, or experienced cases in which the audio kicks in a good 5-10 seconds after you hit play, and then the captions are all out of whack...and you figured out how to fix that, please let me know. Hello, I am working with the Input field.I was able to set up action IF valid input is entered => new text box (feedback) shows up.I would like to do the same (with a diffferent text box/feedback) when incorrect value is entered (ELSE) but the text box is not showing up. Only the frame of the Input Field turns red.Is that a bug or am I missing something?

Please help. I am creating a conditional advanced action for two buttons. It's set up to hide a knowledge check (quiz) button until the two learning paths have been completed. I create the advanced action. and save it. The action and script saves. As soon as I hit the close button the variable selected for the increment command goes blank on both the IF and ELSE statements, which makes this advanced action unable to execute. Why does this keep happening. Is there something I am doing wrong or is there a bug in the conditional advanced actions?

I've created this doc in illustrator that's supposed to have pop-up boxes when hovering over certain parts of the text.  That part works great once set up in adobe acrobat with the set layer visibility option. I've now been asked to add a link for people to click on in one of the boxes, however once you move the mouse away, the box is no longer visible. Is there any way that I can set it so you click on the field and the layer stays visible until you click out?  Any help and recs will be immensinly appreciated 

Hi I am using new version of captivate now, the new captivate 12. I am wondering is it possible for me  to change the font in the TOC? Because I seem cannot find any settings that allow me to change the font on TOC. I would like to change the TOC font to Sans-serif rather than using the Serif font. Thank you. Any help and replies would greatly appreciated!

I am trying to center my playbar in between the back and forward buttons I've created. I don't see how I can adjust the alignment of the playbar. With it left-justified, it blocks my back button. Any ideas?

I am trying to publish a Captivate unit to a device. There has been a change since I last did this.I now have to link this to my Adobe Fonts account. I have tried every way I know, read various articles, added fonts to my Font account, but I still do not see them in my Captivate program. Here are the screen shots and the places that I have researched. I am at a complete loss as to where to go next. Hi Everyone, Unfortunately, I'm having trouble with Captivate 12.3 again. I cannot for the life of me get the failure action on the QUiz Review slide to go to another slide. It worked when the quiz is passed. But not when the quiz is failed. I need this action so the user can review the video content on another slide or take the quiz again. While it worked to backward to a slide, it doesn't seem to work in a branched interaction to move forward. Any suggestions? I named my slides Passed and Failed

Hi Everyone, I have been using another e-learning development platform and finding some holes in it from my needs and looking for some feedback from the community to see if Captivate will work better for me... 🤞 Is there an easy way to offer multiple languages for users to select from without having multiple modules in different languages? I.e. Can you set up the modules to allow users to register for a course and, within the one course, select the language they wish (I have four languages the module is offered in) and go from there based on a language selector on the first screen? Maybe this can be best handled through branching?I really like how Adobe has its learning components, where it is a try-the-software with the instructions pane to the left and checks off when something is completed properly before proceeding. Is this type of design available within Captivate? Is this beyond Captivate?  I can see some of my clients who would love this way of learning ov

Hi Everyone, I am tasked to create either a button or an exit slide feature that saves my position in the timeline so that when i exit the course I can come back and pick up where I started. To be clear, I have already implemented this step so the user can pause/play while they are viewing the material (https://youtu.be/drk8vK5yFKE?si=IRhjasG3wnrcLwyv). My concern now is precisely upon exiting, is there a way to create a save state either through the variables within captivate or using javascript or utilizing both, and how what does this look like?  Thanks so much! I've been at this for a couple weeks and cannot find the answer to my prayers.

Hope all is well. Can I ask if it is possible to add a point on slide enter? I'm planning to add a point at the end of a module and there will be no button at all, so when they enter the last slide, it will score a point and mark as complete. The reason for this is, on some of my training modules, I have a mouse scroll effect (continues to the next slide) and also place a shortcut that jumps to the end of that scroll (incase a learner doesnt have a mouse wheel). If the learner uses the shortcut, I just realized that it misses few slides. Therefore, they cannot achieve 100% slide completion and giving an issue unable to proceed on the next module. If I made it like 90% but a learner didnt use the shortcut,  lets say on slide 90 out of 100, they will already received a notification on the LMS that they completed the training (releases certificate) I bit of confusion for me, So I was thinking instead of counting the slides, I will just put a score point at the end and

Hello dear community,I’m currently a bit puzzled with the new Captivate. I’ve recently changed companies to set up an e-learning environment there - I originally come from iSpring. I intended to switch to Captivate, and my understanding of the "capabilities" was based on Captivate Classic (as it is apparently now called).However, I'm somewhat disappointed with the capabilities of Captivate 12, and I’m not sure if it’s really worth it. Can one simply rely on Captivate Classic to create learning content, or is the service for Classic going to be discontinued at some point? I don’t feel comfortable recommending Captivate to my company right now... and I’m leaning more towards Articulate.Is it just my impression that the capabilities of Captivate 12 are significantly more limited due to its focus on responsiveness

I have been trying to decrease the slide length for two drag and drop slides. Whenever I try to change it on the Timing portion of the Properties tab, it will not do so. Additionally, I have tried to use the timeline to decrease the time, but it is locked and refuses to move. Any assistance would be helpful, as I feel I have tried everything and nothing will work. 

I went into "Edit Theme" > "UI Components" > "Dropdown" and updated the font for all the states of the dropdown menu to the font that I want to use for it. It shows up in the theme the way I want it.    After I clicked Apply, I went to the slide where I had updated it, and in "Normal", "Hover" and "Disabled" it shows up correctly.   However, when I click on the dropdown menu and it switches to "Selected" state, the font reverts to what had been the default previously (Times New Roman).   When I tried changing the font of the other states that I have control over (Normal and Hover), and then went and re-applied the Theme, they didn't update.  Only the "Disabled" state seems to be controlled by the Theme. Neither "Selected" nor "Disabled" allow you to change the font. In Appearance, where the Normal and Hover states can change font types, the Appearance for the other two states only allows this:   I am using Capt

Hello!!! I am putting in a couple youtube videos in a project. The videos seem to be hit and miss as far as closed captions come. They all have closed captions on youtube but then when I put them in captivate, come seem to have the closed captions, and some don't. Does anyone have any in site??? Thank you!!!

Simplesmente, acentuações e caracteres especiais que não funcionam no Adobe New Captivate 2023. Testei diversas confirgurações de teclado, mas não reconhece a entrada pelo teclado (nem o virtual), apenas copiando e colando de outra ferramenta para o captivate, o que é inviável para quem produz e precisa de agilidade na criação.  Alguém sabe como solucionar?

So when I opena. project using the standard 'Light' template in the new Captivate, I get a little blue warning in the bottom right of the main window saying a font is missing (see screenshot) "Roboto" - to my knowledge I have not used any fonts outside of the included theme ones. Would there be a way to identify what element is looking for this? is it a UI element? is the only answer to manually click on each element in my project and see if any are randomly set to that font? 

White borders appear around the program window when I open pdf files with Adobe Acrobat. This happens both in dark and light modes of the display theme. Problem appears both in fullscreen and normal window modes. In the corner of this "white border" i can press the phantom exit button and it closes the app just like the native exit button would do normally. This glitch/bug annoys and is actually hard to work because sometimes the normal window exit button stops working and only this "phantom red button" would be pressable. Tried turning off the security mode(all buttons there are turned off) and tried various compatibility options. Nothing seemed to help.
