Captivate

Hello,I am creating a quiz that will later be uploaded as SCORM into Skilljar (the latter part is not important unless you have experience in Skilljar and can offer a solution to my problem in that Platform). I'd like to have an overall time allotment for the quiz as opposed to a timer per question. In previous versions of captivate you can easily set the timer interaction to last throughout the project in the properties panel. I am not seeing where to set this preference in Captivate 2019. Hi.When I export my project in captivate scalable in html5, fonts lose sharpness. This has some solution. It seems very strange to me that captivate does not treat the typography as vectorial.

I have a simple HTML project. It starts in a new window  with everything working fine. When maximized, the playbar disappears.Though the playbar disappears, the area where the playbar should be is still active. Click in the right place where the playbar buttons should be and the action still occurs- next, back, etc.If you click and drag the corner of the initial window before maximizing, as the window increases in size, it reaches a point where the playbar disappears. Again, the area where the buttons should be is still still works. This happens on multiple computers only in the Chrome browser. The playbar doesn’t disappear in IE11, Edge, Firefox or Safari. Any assistance will be appreciated. The Captivate playbars work fine for me in every other way and I don’t have a need to create custom play controls except this problem in Chrome.Thanks!!K

Using a +[Default TEB Style] text entry box.I require the User to type 130 characters in this box before this slide moves onto the next slide.130 characters is quite a lot and the more you type, the more words you lose - i.e words you started typing earlier get hidden somewhere in the left of this text boxDoes Captivate 9 allow this text box to wrap down to the next line instead of putting all the words on one infinite line?My setting is as follows:Thanks for any

I'm working on a project which is separated into two parts. The first one lets the user to read information about grammar, the second part is a quiz which checks the user's grammatical knowledge.At the bottom of each quiz slide, I've added a smart shape which acts as a button. That button allows the user to go back to a certain slide of the information part which explains the grammatical feature asked in the quiz.So for example:Slide 50 is a Quiz question which asks the user to identify the subject of a given sentence. At the bottom of the slide, there is a "Back to the information part about subjects" button. The button is linked to Slide 22 which explains subjects. Now, on that slide, I would like to have another button which allows the user to go back to Slide 50. That button, however, only needs to appear when coming from the quiz and not when going through the entire captivate project in the right order. How can I achieve that?Thank you for your help!

Hi, I have been unable to publish any of my projects onto my website. I have a Wordpress site. I have created a Captivate 9 project. I have saved the project to my computer first. I then tried to upload the file, both zipped and unzipped into my media files. The error message stated that these files could not be uploaded for security reasons. I can find no clear information from Adobe on this. It clearly is a lot harder for the general user. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks

When previewing the wrapping of one fluid box under another, I need to have the one below be directly underneath the top box. Is there a way to do this?I tried switching from wrapping to "one row/column," and the same problem persists.

I have a file, previously upgraded from captivate 8 to captivate 10.  Have used for a while.  We are adding  capabilities.When published and reviewed it totally skips the second page. The second page is a full master, where they do not have to add anything to the page.  I added a click box to the filmstrip view  to insure they have to stop and click on the page.It is set to be accessibility enabled, has accessibility text, and a master with shapes as buttons for forward or back.  These shapes have a pic imported into them.The forward/back buttons are shapes set as buttons and live on the master slide. They have a picture imported into them.  They are locked in place. They have keyboard shortcuts of ctrl + Page down (Tried just page down without control, same)The playback control is set to not show, and the borders are off.It is published to HTML 5, with force republish on all slides and scalable HTML content clicked.  We cannot use SWF files.any

I have an exercise on one slide.This contains 4 questions.If the User clicks the wrong answer, they get a failure text (Try again).If the User clicks the correct answer, they get a success text (Correct!).When the User clicks the correct answer, I would like the User to see this Success text displayed before the slide then automatically moves onto the next slide.I have used the following settings but the slide is failing to move to the next slide:Any help most welcomed please.Thanks.

Hi there,I have included a few GIF files in a project and I realise that there is a json file created for each of these files in the \dr directory.So for instance, a 3.246 KB gif file would create a 4.329 KB json file. This make the whole zip file quite heavy.I see that there has been some discussion about the json files dealing with the images with Rod's involvement too.Re: Do json files make a project load slowly?I believe that what I found clearly rules out the use of gifs in Captivate. Would you agree with me? What are your experiences?I can use videos that are light to get the same or better effect.I realise that there are json files for about 40 png files.However, I have more than 40 png for sure. Hi there, I use videos in the Captivate 2019 project of mine.They are small ones - about 1 or 2 MB.However, when I upload them on the Sharpoint LMS, sometimes they do not appear. Just the background of the slide would appear.I believe this is only Chrome specific.Here is what the debugger gives me. Anyone with ideas?Thank you in advanceBobby

I'm building several websites using the WordPress Divi Builder. I want to showcase my Captivate portfolio. Does anyone here know how to embed published Captivate files within WordPress websites, especially using Divi?

How do I remove this left-hand side menu?It's not apart of the skin editor.What do I need to do?Please help!

I saw a very useful suggestion for a way to reset the quiz so that someone who had passed it could take it again.https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2113044This suggestion makes use of the Javascript command cp.resetQuizData().  It works beautifully if you just use standard quiz question formats.  The problem for me is that most of my quizzes questions are either software simulations (using click boxes or text entry boxes) or drag-and-drop interactions, and the Javascipt command does not seem to work for these kinds of interactions.  If i include any of these interactions in the quiz, the Javascript reset does not seem to reset those interactions.  In fact it is even worse than not resetting them.  All those interactions come out with a zero score even if you answer them correctly on the retake.  They work correctly the first time you take the quiz.I'd appreciate any suggestions you might have about how I can manage this!

The red recording box is showing in my recording (whether I choose Manual or Automatic recording). The left side of the red recording box is also showing in the middle of the screen in the simulation. I read something about a problem with a responsive project, but this is not a responsive project. Also, the mouse is not aligned properly, and therefore does not click in the correct place in the screenshot.Thanks so much for any help!

I converted fluid boxes to static and placed circle shapes in each one (there's a reason they have to be static). The shapes are all the same in Captivate, but when I preview or publish, some of them are much smaller. Is there a reason for this? This software is really buggy.

Hi all,I have been working on a Responsive e-learning module in captivate designed to work on laptops, PC, iPads, tablets and mobile phones whatever their orientation when tilted to a landscape or portrait position.I have now been instructed by the management to just produce a module for laptops / PCs and not even consider mobile devices etc, for example when you just start a new "Blank" project in captivate.What is the most straightforward and easiest way to convert what I have done as a Responsive e-learning module to a "normal" (blank) one.I was just thinking about copying all the slide from the responsive one to the normal one but I have a few templates in the master slides and I have done a lot of adjustments with the skin editor etc.And is there any potential pitfalls with this process?Thanks in advance!Keith

Hi Team,I am working on Adobe captivate 2019. I have multiples slides with pop up and unable to sync the CC text with audio for the particular pop up.I have created the groups to show the pop up and used trigger to play the audio. There is no option to sync the CC text with audio.If anyone have faced this problem or have any solution/suggestion please help me out.
