Captivate

Hi Guys,We are building a course for the people with disabilities, I want to use the spacebar as pause and play or I want to add it as a shortcut key on the button. Is there any to make it possible? I'm using Adobe Captivate 2017 version.I hope there is a solution on the issue.Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to do some troubleshooting for an HTML5 SCORM file I created in Captivate when it's uploaded into Cornerstone OnDemand, but I'm having a problem with getting the debug to work. I've enabled the debug options in scormdriver.js file after I've published the file so blnDebug=true and SHOW_DEBUG_ON_LAUNCH=true, and while a window does appear when I launch the file the pop-up window is blank.I've tested this in SCORM Cloud and in Cornerstone, but it's not working in either system. I also inquired of the problem with SCORM Cloud and they looked at the file and they're seeing that it's making the right calls and should be loading the debug but they're also unsure about why it's not displaying anything. If you look at the code for the pop-up window when it appears it just has an opening and closing head and body tags but nothing else.I also went back to Captivate version 7 and the debug doesn't work when publishing an HTML5 file in this version either. Any ideas or does anyone know

I have a subscription to Presented and I am using the Power Point provided by Office 365 Premium.  It works but does not update well, so I have to search for presenter updates and manually upgrade.  My real question is, what would be the best set of tools to use from the Adobe set if I wanted to create training webinars and Power Points.  I use Power Point for all live presentations and often convert using Presenter after the first live event.  I would like better graphics and video options.

Help...I am having challenges publishing a Captivate file into SCORM 1.2. The course is created from a PPT slide show. We have recorded audio to 5 slides and imported video into 2 slides, There are also 3 drag and drop exercises  in the training, as well. Everything appears to be working appropriately in the Captivate Preview mode, but when I publish to SCORM the course will not load. I tried to test the SCORM package in SCORM cloud and it won't load there either. When I originally tried to publish the course I received errors that HTML5 did not support some of the assets. Those assets were the glow feature I had on the drag option. I removed that feature from my drap options and published. Still no success. Any thoughts?

This has been asked before but I am hoping there is more information. The product says it is viable for IE 9 or newer for 360 lessons, but it doesn't seem to be the experience of users. Has ANYONE been able to get this to work.Please do not suggest another browser. Client specifications (for many users) is IE9 and up.

Does anyone else have the issue of Adobe Captivate 2017 running slow on their iMac? I guess I'll have to only run Captivate 2017 and nothing else. Below is what I am running on

Hello All,I am a fairly new captivate user, and I finally am ready to publish my first video.  There seems to be a lot of debate on the best way to publish, and I'm trying to find the method that is easiest for the end user to view.  I tried doing swf, but w/o having captivate installed they were not able to view.  They are being posted on our companies SharePoint page.  I published as a video, but then end users have to download.  Trying to find a way to publish where the end user would not have to download.   Any incite would be greatly appreciated.  Best,Maro

Hi - I'd like to use Presenter on my MacBookPro.  I understand it's only available for Windows at present.  Does anyone know if there is a release date for MacOS, or does anyone have experience of running it using virtual box and Windows on a Mac?  From the demos it looks exactly what I want for turning my Powerpoint slides into online courses. If Presenter isn't available for Mac and no immediate release date - does anyone know of a similar product that works on Mac?

I have a two-part question about backwards movement in quizzes with Captivate 2019 (I'm using 11.0.0.243, if that helps):Part 1) My client would like to allow backwards movement in quizzes, so I've checked that box in preferences and added the back button. However, if a learner clicks back, then the answer options and submit button in the previously answered question are locked. Infinite attempts is selected! So, the learner is then completely stranded: they can't re-answer the previously answered question or advance to the next. Any suggestions?Part 2) If a learner answers a question correctly, they get a message that says "That answer is correct! Click anywhere to continue." However, if the learner clicks on the Back button, the screen advances to the next slide instead going back to the previous one. Help?

I am working on a project that is using the same basic set of advance actions where forward motion is dependent on a variable. Basically - the user will click on button, the advance actions sets a value of 1 for a variable and executes the action. There is a conditional checking, if all variables are equal to 1 then another interaction will appear to move the user forward. I also have an "on exit" advance action set up on this slide that resets the value of all the variables I used to 0. The first slide I have this on, all the actions work as they are intended to. However - on the second slide that I am using this set up on, once the user clicks one or two buttons, the forward action shows up even though technically not all the variables have been assigned a value of 1. Does anyone have any ideas on a possible solution or what may be going wrong? I would really not want to have to create new variables for each time I want to use this slide in my project.

Hello, I'm developing Captivate VR project using both 360 images and videos. Ideally, I would like to include several quiz questions that should appear at various points along the timeline corresponding to a segment of the video they just watched.When I answer the quiz and click "continue" on the overlay slide, the video/timeline does not automatically resume... I'm not sure whether this is acting as intended? Has anyone experienced this? The workaround I'm toying with is including a play button that would trigger the "continue" action to display on the timeline at the same time. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I have Adobe Captivate 2019, a new Macbook Air, and an iPhone 5. I'd love to start showcasing my VR e-learning lessons on a VR headset. I see on your website that you only recommend Samsung Gear VR and Google Daydream. However, those require Android/Galaxy. Could you tell me what VR headset you recommend given that I have a Macbook/iphone? I'd like to make sure it has peripheral vision too. Thank you!

Hi there!I have several animations made with Adobe Animate, and imported into my Captivate project as oam animations.Some of them works just fine, but others doesnt. I've seen in the browser's console, that it shows some errors regarding JSON files bad formed.Anybody else is having the same issue? I used a JSON checker from the web and it also points to some errors in the first line.

So in a project I use pan and zoom to show a close-up on an important url, but when I try to zoom out, instead of being gradual, it pops back to full page instantaneously. I have the time set to be 1 second but it still happens instantly instead of over time like the zoom ins. What am I missing here?

I tried CC for a month and realised I don't need (and cannot afford it) so I cancelled my subs but Adobe on my Mac has decided I am still in CC when I try to open CS6So how do I get CS6 to open again?I have uninstalled the CC version, removed CS6 from the dock and replaced it with a new alias.What else can I do?Thx for any help

I really want to download the free trial of Captivate, but my computer is kind of old and I don't think it meets the system requirements for Captivate 9. Is there an older version of Captivate that would be compatible with Mac OS 10.6.8? 

Hi,I'm developing a template to use in future projects (in the 2019 version). I'm getting the hang of it pretty well, except for one sticking point.I'm adding a navigation bar to the bottom of the slides. I realize you can't use traditional buttons, so I made SmartShapes and made buttons out of them with text inside. These work fine. One button to navigate forward to the next slide and one to go back to the previous slide.My issue: In the actual slide, these are not editable. For example, if I want to change one of the buttons to go back to a different slide (such as the beginning of a section), I can't change the SmartShape text or the actions. Of course I can do it in the master slide, but the problem with that is that it will change all instances of that slide type.One option would be to go into the master, duplicate the slide, and configure the second version as desired. Is there any other option?CheersMike

These are smart-shapes (the black rectangles) that are set up to show a box of text when the user rolls a cursor over them, then disappear once their cursor has moved off and over another area. Unfortunately they are not disappearing when I move the cursor over to the next smart-shape. Any ideas how to fix this?

Hi, I'm trying to install Captivate 2019 with 64 bite, but there is something wrong after I sign in my Adobe ID.It shows nothing but blank. What should I do?

Hello, I'm attempting to create a custom layout for a responsive project in Captivate 2019 with the following dimensions: 1280x720It appears that captivate is accommodating the width however the height remains at 627, (on screen/preview and when publishing).Has anyone had a similar experience/workaround solution?Thanks!

I am using Adobe Presenter 11.1. with MS PowerPoint.  I have added an attachment to my presentation using the Settings | Attachments tool.  My attachment is a PDF document.   When I publish this presentation, the attachment button or paperclip that normally appears does not.  I am racking my brain wondering if i have forgotten how to publish or if i am experiencing a glitch.  I sure could use some assistance.  How do I get that attachment button to appear after the presentation is published?  Thank you.

Hi,I have CSS to rotate my course to make it always in Landscape mode. This is the CSS I have:@media (orientation:portrait){#main_container { transform-origin: 30% 60%; transform: rotate(90deg); top: -153px !important;}}However, when I am in a browser and it is rotated then the playbar buttons disappear. They appear to still be in the DOM but are not showing.Does anyone know why or how to fix this issue? I am wanting to only display my lesson in landscape mode. If there is another solution that doesn't make the buttons disappear then that would work too!I am in Captivate 2017.Thank you.

How do I modify a PDF questionnaire template design. Respondent are required to check yes or no but when you check 1 box all 20 questions yes or no box are checked. Thank you for your help!
