Captivate

This is in regards to the new Adobe Captivate (called Charm I guess?).  I finally was able to complete a project build.  I zipped it to a SCORM 1.2 package and uploaded the files to a Moodle course.  This is a paid Moodle version by the way. Everything built into my Captivate project seemed to work--weeks ago.  Now the video features are non-functioning--though all other interactive components are running smoothly.  This includes both the events video and a multi-slide synchronized video.  A black box appears over the events video (see below) and the playback skin is inoperable.    And the 'play' and 'pause' buttons that I coded to start and pause the timeline (and pause and start the slide video) also no longer function properly (see above).  All of this works within the 'Preview' mode via Adobe Captivate.  And these features did function in Moodle weeks ago.  Now granted, I made some changes to the original project

I have a project with a video that I have playing across multiple slides. Right now I only see a manual interface in the Edit Video Timing window to adjust the duration of playback on each slide, meaning I have to drag the marker around on the screen with my mouse to try and align it with a specific time stamp. Is there a place somewhere in Captivate Classic to type in specific time values for per slide video duration, like there is in the slide duration in the Timing window for the slide, so I can be precise without having to drag the marker around on the screen?

Hi all,I'm using Captivate version 11.8.1.219 (in a corporate environment so changing versions isn't really an option).When I create a new project or open a project, there are no slides appearing in the film strip, and no info in the properties panel when I select objects. I can only see the first slide in the project. The other slides are actually there though because when I publish the project, I can navigate through them. This happens for both new and existing projects. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Does anyone have any advice on resolving this?

Hello, when I export my interactive project I see it in a small part of the screen.Is there a way to increase the predefined size or try the maximize option without having to use ctrl +?Thanks

Hi there,  My client has asked me to change the quiz requirements so the user doesn't have to get all answers right to 'pass'. They want the user to at least get 7 out of 9 questions right to then be able to finish it off and be considered complete. * All questions have 2 trys to get correct, if not right the second time, the next slide will appear. If total score is below 7 correct answers, the user must retake the quiz *I've played around with multiple different quiz preference options for this but everytime i upload it to the LMS they use, it doesn't recognise that the course is complete if all questions aren't answered correctly. For example: If all questions are answered correctly,  the LMS will recognise the score of 100% and says 'complete'. If 1 or 2 answers are wrong, it will become a score of 89% (or whatever the outcome is) and will say 'still in process' (as if the course haven't been completed in full yet). I'm unsure if it may be th

Is there a setting to have Captivate 2019 send the quiz score at the end of the quiz so the LMS will display the actual score achieved? I have the pass/fail threshold set at 70% for a 20 question quiz with each question worth 5 points. Even If the quiz taker answers 16 questions correctly (80 points or 80%) the LMS (HealthStream) records complete (passed) & a score of 70. Trainers want to have the actual score achieved recorded in the LMS.

Hi all, I'm trying to resize an image in Captivate - in the user guide it says there should be a 'Display' dropdown but I can't find that anywhere in my Captivate programme. When I double click on the image I only get the resize option I can't see an image editing preview with "Crop the image, change the Image display, Responsive behavior, or Image focus, and view the behavior on the right." which it refers to in the User Guide. Can anyone advise what I'm missing?Thanks, Emily

I'm using Captivate 9 and LearnCenter as our LMS. LMS is set up to allow multiple quiz attempts. Captivate source file is set up to allow infinite attempts (review quiz is not selected), but when users get to the end of this quiz, the retake button is not shown. Within the project, the retake button is on the quiz results page like normal. I've tried it on Edge and Chrome, still having the same issue on both. Any suggestions?

Hi!! I'm having this particular problem: When my tester clicks in one button that have "reproduce this audio", the audio plays after a delay of one or two seconds. This happen when the course is on scorm.cloud. However, I dont have the same issue testing it by myself. Might be a reason why this happens? The same .zip doing that?

I have created a project in the new Captivate - 12.3.0.12 and I am able to publish as HTML with the reporting settings on for SCORM. I try uploading it to SCORM Cloud to test it and it won't upload. It just spins and spins. When I try uploading it to my LMS, same...it just times out or keeps spinning for eternity. I have other SCORM Files that I can upload and they go in with no issue. It appears to be the ones from this newest version, but we can't figure out why.I have tried publishing as 1.2 and 2004 and get the same results with both. All the projects preview just fine. I have been on with support and I have uninstalled, reinstalled - created a new project with just one slide and published that as SCORM and still, it won't upload. Is anyone else seeing this issue or have any suggestions?Captivate 12.3.0.12 on a Mac Sonoma 14.4.1

I have added some smart shape rollovers to a slide. When published to HTML5 in Browser a warning appears "Some slides or objects in this project are not supported in HTML5 format.Using Window > HTML5 Tracker, the rollovers are listed. However, the project and the rollovers run as intended with no errors.Not able to test on an LMS Any ideas why this error should appear when using rollovers? Classic Captivate 2019, Mini Mac Pro, Mac OS: Sonoma 14.4.1. I want to add custom behavior to SVG images in my Captivate project though JavaScript code. However, it seems like the SVG object is not loaded when the JavaScript code attempts to access it. The object is listed in the innerhtml parameter of the surrounding div (SVG_1c contains SVG_1c_object), but this element comes back empty or null no matter how I try to access it. var mySVG = document.getElementById("SVG_1c");console.log(mySVG.innerHTML);^This returns an empty string. var mySVG = document.getElementById("SVG_1c_object");console.log(mySVG);^This returns null (undefined). Is there a way to access this object in HTML, perhaps by waiting for the image to be loaded before running the rest of the script?

Greetings all,I am having an issue with installing Captivate Classic.  I have 12.3 installed and working to the best of its ability, but I hate this new version.  I am trying to load Classic and keep getting an RC=3 error. I read in the Acrobat forum that someone had solved the problem by uninstalling all the Adobe products and installing again.  This did not work for me.  I can install 12.3 but cannot get Classic to install at all.  I thought I understoond that you could have both versions installed but I am stuck trying to get it to install.  Any suggestions?  Thank you in advance.

Hello community! I´m new to Adobe Captivate, first LMS I´m using. I need medical/nursing vectors/caracters to be used in my slides, however, I don´t find the way to download them from from Adobe Stock and importing them to my Adobe Captivate Library. How do I import vectors/caracters from the Stock to my Adobe Captivate 12? Thank you for your help!

Am I blind that I cannot find how to change this or can this not be changed? I am in the new Captivate. I am trying to make the buttons match the rest of our site more and do not want to use the pill shape.

I am asking if there is a better way to do this....Captivate "Classic" (2019) 11.5.5.553I have a slide with four topics to be accessed by image click boxes. There is introductory audio that is on the Timeline, and the topic audio is attached to the image boxes. The text is displayed with Advanced Actions. I have a Pause near the end of the Timeline audio which pauses the slide progress allowing the user to click the topic boxes. A slide-level Advanced Action has all the text elements hidden. So far so good. My indecision comes in regarding how to control the audio and accompaning text, which is transcription of the audio. Hi All! I've run into an issue I hope the creative minds here can help with.  Using Adobe Captivate Classic 11.5.5.552. I have a multiple choice quiz question with four 15-second event videos on the screen. The learner should watch them, and then choose an answer based on the videos. (See screenshot; it's hard to explain!) When published, one or more of the videos might show up as a black rectangle or flash. Either way, they are unusable. The problem is somewhat intermittent. Sometimes they all work fine.; other times not.  I've made the files as small as possible, to the point of losing quality. I thought I might solve the problem by putting the videos on Youtube, but it looks like that's only an option for slide videos, not even videos So, my first question is whether anyone knows what the issue might be and how to fix, or if anyone has other creative suggestions to make this basic idea work? THANKS!

I am a professor at a medical school. I have used Animate to generated an extensive collection of animated lessons.  These lessons are posted on the web at BioME.wvsom.edu. I have also used the canvas function of Animate to compose HTML excerpts of the full lessons. I want to embed these HTMLs into the learning management system we will be using at our school. That LMS is called Canvas, not to be confused with the canvas function of Animate. I have been told that I may be able to use Captivate to do so, but before I devote time to trying to get it to work I want to confirm that it might be possible. A potential method may be to import one of my HTML files into a Captivate slide. Then export that slide after setting the SCORM format. Finally, I would import the Captivate file into Canvas.   I realize few if any of you are familar with Canvas, but does anyone know if it might be possible to use this method to import a file into PowerPoint? Hello fellow Captivate users.Im on the latest update 12.3 of the new captivate. However this issue was present on the previous version as well.I have an issue with the TOC. Im not using playbar, my own buttons set up for navigation, one which toggles the TOC On/Off and the variable Project.LockTOC is set to true.I can still move between the slides when clicking on the TOC. What i want is for the users to be able to toggle the TOC On/Off to see where they are on the course but i want to disable movement using the TOC. Is this a possible bug?I tried everything, assign variable, using the interactions.Run javascript window.cpAPIInterface.setVariableValueEven though the project Project.LockTOC displays as true (i have put it on the slide as $$Project.LockTOC$$)  i can still move around the course using the TOC...Any ideas?
