i was applying the Cold Fusion updates in order from 1 and when I got to 7 the ODBC Server will not start ......I found one fix that said:"file msvcr100.dll from the backup folder CF_HOME/cfusion/hf-updates//backup/db/slserver54/bin to: 1. [CF_HOME]\cfusion\db\slserver54\bin 2. [CF_HOME]\cfusion\db\slserver54\admin If the file does not exist in the backup, download the file and copy it to the locations mentioned above.”followed above and no good .....also uninstalled and that did not work .....im running an ACCESS DB and need ODBC server to run ....the server is Windows 2012 standardthxs

I have a web page where users submit a form and info is sent to a 3rd party vendor.The issue I have is that it takes a few seconds for the process to complete and my users are hitting the submit button multiple times.and its causing issues with multiple submissions to the 3rd party vendor.QUESTION:Is there a way to send the user to the next page as soon as they hit the submit button while the code processing takes place?So they cant hit the submit button more than onceLike thisSubmit buttonSend the user to the next pageContinue processing code with 3rd part vendor

Hi there,I am using CF2018 update 4 and flash player 32.0.0.223.  I have a cfgrid populated from a query.  One of the columns contain single percision floating point values between 2 and 60, usualy up to 5 significant figures.  For example, a value of 7.2 appers as 7.19999980926514 in the flash grid, but appear as 7.2 in html and java grid.  I tried setting a mask of 99.9999 for the column and it appears as 00.0000 for every row!  Any other settings I can use to correct the display issue or is this a bug?Can't use HTML grid until the fix for 4024128 is released so I am stuck with the java grid for the moment.Thanks in advance.

I have the necessity to encrypt an excel file generated by a web application developed by myself with Coldfusion. Currently my organization is using a third party software for accomplish the encryption piece with a PGP tool . My goal is to accomplish the encryption the excel file directly in the web application.Any suggestion on how to accomplish this?Thanks

I know I've asked these questions before, but I'm curious if anyone can speak to when Tomcat bundled with ColdFusion 11 will be updated?Tomcat is bundled as part of ColdFusion 11, previously Adobe has provided a hotfix to upgrade Tomcat.  Is this something on the product road map?Tomcat 7.0.70 fixes the following issue: Moderate: Denial of Service CVE-2016-3092

Anyone know a good alternative for the rich text editor using ColdFusion.  I can get the rich text editor to work but the image button doesn't allow uploads and I know it used to be able to do it quite a few versions ago.

Hello, all,We recently had our CAPTCHA bypassed (not surprising, as I kind of had to do a hack-ish job with it due to some security restrictions) and I custom-built a new one.Apparently, our production environment is not 100% identical to our dev or staging environments, as it works well in those.I just received an email from the customer stating that 1) the CAPTCHA is not matching in FireFox (possibly due to a constantly changing JSESSIONID), and 2) IE11 will not display the image, at all.  I checked for #2, and in production IE11 does, indeed, _not_ display the image.On the code level, the image is being created like the following:<img style="width: 200px; height: 85px;" src="data:image/*;base64,{and a long string of blob data}" />Any suggestions?  I am at the end of my rope on this one.V/r,^ _ ^

We have a web app running on CF10.  When trying to migrate it to CF2016 update 4, we have a cfajaxproxy that is generating the following error.Invalid usage of AJAX tag.Use cfajaximport tag to specify SCRIPTSRC or make sure all ajax controls are inside a single cfform tag that has SCRIPTSRC.We are running on IIS 8.5 on Windows 2012 R2.  The website has a virtual directory /cf_scripts in IIS pointing to D:\ColdFusion2016\cfusion\wwwroot\cf_scripts and I can call any of the scripts directly through the web browser and see the JS.

I am moving from CF10 to CF2016 and I have discovered that the pages that contain a cfwindow command have significant styles being added. For example, the body statement which in my source has no other tags, now shows as having class="x-body x-webkit x-chrome x-rest" added and these styles change the appearance of the pages. This does not seem to happen on pages without a cfwindow. They are left as I coded them.I've tracked the effects thru Chrome Developer Tools, and the style sheet ext-all.css, which is part of ext JS 4.1 is doing the damage. The result is changes in font size and spacing on the web page. This did not happen in CF10 and so far I have not found any pages without cfwindow statements that have the same problem.So why is it doing this? How can I stop that behaviour without creating special versions of style sheets that are used only on those pages? This affects a number of websites.

I had some code that was developed for a windows server to create some image files. The destination parameter had backslashes in the path. When run on a Coldfusion 9  linux server, the files ended up in the top directory with long filenames consisting of ' directory\directory\filename'.  Now I need to delete them. I've tried cffile action="delete" file="directory\\directory\\filename">.

I am running Cold Fusion 11 and have a problem, intermittently, when a form is submitted the entire application server stops.   The application I've created has been running for several years without throwing this problem.   I've looked through all of the log files and I've not found any indication of what is stopping the serverAnd, of course, the problem does not happen all the time.   I was able to recreate the issue with one of my users, so at least I know it is real and not user error.The process is such:A call is made to the DB to get any entries associated with the master reference keyI loop over those entries and dynamically build the form inside of tables (yeah, I'm old and lazy)Each form field is name+indexing variable.   The indexer starts of at 1 and I just add 1 to it as the cfoutput loopsSo, each form field name us uniqueIn the case where the server is crashing, I am only submitting ~30 fields (though I've previously upped the defaul

I installed CF2018 and got it working. Now I'm wanting to switch over to an external web server and CF server for my dev work. However, I can not get the internal server to STOP! I open a Terminal window, go to the /Applications/ColdFusion 2018/cfusion/bin folder and run the command "./coldfusion stop" in the terminal. It says it is stopping, asks for a password (which is not clear WHAT pw it wants but I give it my Mac pw). It then says it's stopped or stopping.Moments later its running again.I can find NO help in the Adobe CF docs online that describe how to configure auto start and how to stop it on a Mac. I have a MacBook Pro and super frustrated that after stopping the internal server over and over and over, it spins right back up! Hello,  We are using ColdFusion 2018 on a Windows server 2016 platform. One of our data entry screen crashes when the data is submitted. We are having to make 41+ administrator console changes in ColdFusion 11 update 19 and would like to export the current state in order to perhaps revert back.  Is there a way to export all of the settings?  I have read that I can create a CAR file but don't know all of the files to put into it.  Is there not functionality to export them all at once or can someone tell me the steps to insure that I get all of them?  thanks

We are going thru upgrade from CF10 to CF18. The same code used to call oracle stored procedure in CF10 fails in CF2018. I am not sure what may have changed with this tag but the error message doesn't make sense to me based on values I am passing. Trying to migrate our Microsoft Access DB's to a new server running Microsoft Server 2012 and ColdFusion 16. I have been able to do this in the past using the 32 bit ODBC Data Source Administrator, but it doesn't seem to be working this time.

I am having issues trying to install Coldfusion 2016 32-bit on Windows 2016.  I can get the executable to run but it completes with errors.  It looks like it only partially installs.  There is nothing in the install error log that is helpful (or I don't understand it).  We are loading 32-bit because we require 'MS Access with Unicode' for a datasource.  We are migrating Coldfusion 2016 32-bit from Windows 2008 version where it installed fine. Is there something about Windows 2016 where this won't install?  If someone has done this successfully, that would be helpful information.
