Hello,I am currently considering virtualizing our current ColdFusion 11 Standard server and would like some clarification on the licensingaspect. Reading the EULA it states one license allows for one virtual machine with up to two vcores/vprocs. What I’m unclear about is the GHZ restrictions. The 5GHz is per vcore or per virtual machine? Is this a host restriction or can be throttled on the VM instance? For instance, can you have a single VM with 2 vcores at 3 GHz with a single license or do they need to be throttled at 2.5GHz?As far as physical server if I understand correctly you define CPU not by physical processor but # of cores divided by 4. So one standard license would cover a one physical processor with up to 4 cores or 2 CPU with up to 8 cores total? Please correct/clarify as needed. Thx!
I have a local ColdFusion 10 Developer version on my local machine.I use ColdFusion to create a CSV file and save on the server and create a link using following code.Browsers open the CSV file as a text file and I use right click link to save target, my Windows Explorer save a a html file.It works on the other server using the same code.I would like to know are there any configuration to set ColdFusion recognize CSV file format when save the target and it lets browsers know to use Excel to open CSV files. Your help and information is great appreciated, Regards, Sourises,<Cfset thisPath = ExpandPath("*.*")> <cfset f_dir = GetDirectoryFromPath(thisPath)> <cfset f_name = "#dateformat(now(), 'mmddyy')##timeformat(now(), 'hhmm')#.csv"> <cffile action="WRITE" file="#f_dir##f_name#" output="MtField1, MyField2" addnewline="Yes"> <cfloop query="#myQuery#"> &n
Hello, I am just beginning to work with CFGrid and CFForm and I have an extremely simple flash CFGrid that is not populating. The headers load fine from my query, but the data does not. I am sure the query returns data, because I output it on the screen directly before I display the grid, and everything is fine. Here is the code: <CFQUERY name="getCommunities" datasource="#datasource#"> SELECT * FROM VG_Community </CFQUERY> <CFOUTPUT query="getCommunities"> #intCommunityID# - #strCommunity#<br /> </CFOUTPUT> <CFFORM name="communityForm" width="80%" format="flash"> <CFGRID name="communityGrid" format="flash" height="425" width="600" query="getCommunities"> <CFGRIDCOLUMN name="intCommunityID"> <CFGRIDCOLUMN name="strCommunity"> </CFGRID> </CFFORM> I do not know if this is relevant, but due to my installation, I do not have direct access to the webroot/CFIDE/scripts folder. However, I have copied the folder to
Hello, all,We recently received a new STIG for our environment, and one of the "findings" is for request timeout error template. Basically, if the CFAdmin setting is blank or set to default, it's a finding. We are required to create a custom request timeout error page and place it in the webroot (where CFIDE is not), then update the CFAdmin to point to it.Problem is that I have no idea what the request timeout error page is supposed to do. I tried to review the code for the default .cfm page that handles this, but (of course) Adobe encrypted it, so I can't see what it's doing.Pointers greatly appreciated.V/r,^_^
Hi All,I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. The form that I have has 11 records but my CFloop to CFQUERY is only returning 1 result. I'm expecting to see 11 records in the Recordset2_UPDATE query. The Recordset2_UPDATE query is just a SELECT statement for now, for testing.<cfloop from="1" to="#form.totRecords#" index=ct> <cfquery name="Recordset2_UPDATE" datasource="Incident_Reporting"> SELECT '#form.ID#' as "UID", '#listgetat(form.ID,ct)#' as ID, '#listgetat(form.AllDocumentsAttached,ct)#' as AllDocumentsAttached FROM dbo.tbl_P1 WHERE ID = #listgetat(form.ID,ct)#</cfquery></cfloop>Thanks for the second set of eyes!John
Hello, all,I just wanted to let everyone know about something that recently happened to me. I have a side-project that is nearing completion, and I started up a hosted account for it, which currently just displays one page with a link to the org FB page, and a notice that the site will be going live, soon.Someone guessed my password for my Network Solutions account page, and on 06 JULY 2016 submitted a DNS Change Request, pointing the DNS from the Hostek DNS to something at ZTOMY.COM. As soon as I discovered it, I changed it back to what it should be; foolishly, I didn't change my password, so about an hour later, the hacker logged back on and switched it back to the ZTOMY.COM address.I have changed my password, and re-changed the DNS back to what it should be. THE IMPORTANT THING TO KNOW: The ZTOMY.COM address was re-directing from my website to a page that looked authentically like a Network Solutions page, asking me to enter a CAPTCHA and log on to confirm my email
RGSAYWELLI was having a tidy up and moved the CFIDE folder to another drive where I thought it was already installed.I then realised that I could not get on to any of the sites, I got error 503 when I tried.I copied the folder back but have still had no joy in accessing the sites so I must have mixed up settings somewhere. I think it is to do with IIS but cannot find anything.I have tried adding new sites but with no success. Can I repair the coldfusion 9 installation in some way or should I re-install it?Any ideas would be welcomed.RegardsRon
Hello,So, first, some background - I need TLS 1.2 to work on my CF10 server for CFHTTP requests to PayPal (https://www.paypal-knowledge.com/infocenter/index?page=content&widgetview=true&id=FAQ1914&viewlocale=en_US).After doing a bit of research, I'm still unsure as to whether you can actually get TLS 1.2 working with Java 7 on CF10, even though Java 7 supports it (see http://www.coldfusionmuse.com/index.cfm/2014/12/8/colfusion-jvm-versions-sslv3-tls) which has me wondering whether I need Java 8.So, I'm thinking of upgrading CF10 to Java 8 which I know DOES work with TLS 1.2 but I rely heavily on SOLR and after reading Charlie Arehart's excellent article (CF911: 'Help! I've updated the JVM which ColdFusion uses, and now it won't start!' - Charlie Arehart's ColdFusion Troubl…) I'm concerned that whatever SOLR version shipped with CF10 won't be compatible with Java 8 and that having CF and SOLR pointing to different JREs is a bad idea. Does anyone have any experience of upgrad
This one is driving me nuts...I have the following piece of code...<cfquery datasource="#dsn#" name="q" cachedwithin="#createTimeSpan(0,0,30,0)#">Some fancy SQL</cfquery>Today, the above stopped working. The error was variable q was undefined. Odd, figured the caching went wrong, so I changed it to this<cfquery datasource="#dsn#" name="q" cachedwithin="#createTimeSpan(0,0,0,0)#">Some fancy SQL</cfquery>to empty out the query cache for that query. The query then started to work with the #createTimeSpan(0,0,0,0)#. I change it back to #createTimeSpan(0,0,30,0)# and instantly it dies... variable q undefined. Strange. So I after running it again with #createTimeSpan(0,0,0,0)# it starts to work. I bumped it to #createTimeSpan(0,0,5,0)# it works. I bump it to #createTimeSpan(0,0,10,0)# it works. I bump it to #createTimeSpan(0,0,15,0)# it dies... variable q undefined. After some tweaking, I find out that anythi

This is my code :window.open("myPage.cfm?froma=1&p_varA=#varA#&p_varB="+varB+"", "_new", "menubar=no, location=no, status=yes, toolbar=no, width=700px, height=800px, scrollbars=yes, resizable=yes, left=50, top=100")This does not open up the pop-up in some of the user's IE 11 browsers. It works on my IE 11 browser. What could be the blocking factor. The same code breaks in Mozilla Firefox with JavaScript error. Please give your valuable suggestions.
I have created a wide bar chart using CFChart in CF10.There are quite a few bars and the labels are too wide, causing some labels to not print.Does anyone know exactly how to angle them at 45 degrees like most charting tools allow?I am ok with changing the style for all CF charts to an angled label.Or, have you solved this without setting the labels at an angle? Thanks!
Ugh... brain fart time...Awhile back I made a dropdown list using either <CFSELECT...> or maybe it was just a <SELECT...> control. That isn't important tho...What is important is I put in some text into the drop down list that said something like "Select an Item". As soon as the user clicked on the control the instructional text "Select an Item" disappeared and was replaced with the contents of the dropdown list.Problem is I can't remember how to add that "helper" type of text to the dropdown control.I've added this OPTION tag below the CFSELECT but the helper text is now included as part of the selectable drop down items and I don't want that.<CFSELECT NAME="ContactType" REQUIRED="Yes" QUERY="ConQry" DISPLAY="ConName" VALUE="ConType" TABINDEX="1" SELECTED="#MyContactType#" SIZE="1" QUERYPOSITION="below" style="font-size:11px;background-color:##FFFFCC;" MESSAGE="Please select the method of contacting PERSI"> <OPTION VALUE="
We are having this webpage : Backpackers Thailand: Thailand Trips, Scuba Diving, Accommodation and Travel Guides Now, we are planning to "upgrade" the hole webpage to a responsive and fresh design. What could be the best step to fulfill this?I need to check, what version of server we are having. What could we do, if we stay at cold fusion? Some suggestions?RegardsSimon
I have tried the following for formatting a date.#DateFormat(cfData.data.date_modified, "mm/dd/yyyy")#This above formatting shows this Error in custom script instead. This is what the date looks like: 07/20/2016 2:48 pm CDT
Greetings,I just finished installing CF11 on windows server 2008. The installation went thru without any issues, but when I go to CF administration page and type my password it says it is the wrong one. Can someone help? Thanks,Theo
Hello everyone! OK this is my first attempt at connecting a database to my website. I found some really good info on how to do this through how-to videos via YouTube.Ok lets get to business. I'm still early in the process but I do have a database set-up and the simple PHP pages are good (still early though). Now, I need to try and confirm that the database and page(s) are linked - or connected so anyone that fills an account will be going right to the database. Well, here's the problem: When I insert this PHP script into the "sign up" page it give me this (right below here: Take note that I made a script to purposely shows that quote with this script...it was suggested: Ok, when the PHP file above (i.e. trying to connect to the database, I assume) pops-up on login/create account page, above is what I see...when I remove that specific PHP from the Login page, it looks fine. So please, if anybody has an idea on what may be causing this please share your thoughts. I suspect it's because t
I'm fairly certain I found a scope bug. I'm using CF11 and FW/1 and I have the following query -- the tag works, the cfscript equivilent triggers a "Table named rc.qSignerLinks was not found in memory" exception:/* works*/<cfquery name="local.qResultSet" result="local.qResult" dbtype="query"> SELECT * FROM rc.qRSRecipient where [email] = <cfqueryparam value="#session.user.getEmail()#" cfsqltype="CF_SQL_VARCHAR" maxlength="50" /></cfquery>/* exception */<cfscript> local.qObj = new query(); local.qObj.setDBType("query"); local.qObj.setSQL(" SELECT * FROM &nbs
I can't access the ColdFusion collections from the CF Admin. I went to access solr directly through the jetty server interface (127.0.0.1:8987/solr/) and the screen is blank (web page never loads - browser just keeps trying to load it). Looking at log files, everything seems ok with solr - there are no startup issues recorded in the jetty log files (it ends with stating that solr and PDFgServlet are loaded and available) or any of the CF log files. The server is a Windows 2012 R2 box with latest patches. CF 11 Enterprise with latest patch (I rolled back to patch #3 just to see if it was a recent CF patch that caused the issue, but no change). 96 GB of RAM and Xeon processors leads be to believe it isn't a resource issue (RAM and CPU resources aren't being taxed in the slightest). The only other software on the server is SQL Server 2016 Web Edition.I tried this on another server with the same configuration, same problem. I tried a 3rd server with a slightly different model Xeon processor
I understand that Coldfusion try to cache queries up to a maximum n. of queries as specified in the admin page. How can I know if the query cache is working too much, because the max number is too low?Or if the memory used by query cache is too high?I use standard Edition. Do I need some monitoring tools (seeFusion, fusionreactor etc), or I can have this information from admin api?I only have VisualVM, but I guess it's difficult to understand it from raw java threadsthank you
I created a report using SSRS, SQL Server Report Services.I would like to know does ColdFusion Support SSRS report just like ColdFsuion Report Builder?Your help and information is great appreciated,Regards,Sourises,
I am trying to add an existing report to a main report. after I choose the file and hit save, I get this message: Object: TfrmWizardTemplate, frmWizardTemplate Exception;'String) into type (Boolean) when evaluating instruction OperEqual ($0' is not a valid integer value. I am new to this and don't know what this means. I am able to recreate the subreport as a new subreport and it works. I really don't want to create a new subreport everytime I need to do the exact same thing.
