ChatGPT Integration

Hello All,I am impressed that ChatGPT does seem to have somewhat of a handle on writing ColdFusion code. It definitely can do some things that are beyond the basics.One thing I wonder is whether anyone has any code to share to integrate ChatGPT with a text box or something via ColdFusion...so it could help answer customer questions, etc. Anyone have any ideas on this? Thank you

CF 2021 Update 10 failed to install

Scheduled tasks not working after migrating to new server

Good morning, Im hoping to get some help with an issue with CF2021 when migrating to new server. Hoping something simple to look for but since setting up CF on a new box, my schedulede taks no longer work. I keep getting the Connection Failure: Status Code Unavailable. We did nothing different with the install of CF, and dont understand why this isnt working.

Activate ColdFusion 2021

Hi, I need help in activating the coldfusion 2021. I tried activate thru online and offline, unfortunately both showing failed to activate (online) and activation response file is invalid. Do you guys facing any issue on this? Tried restarted the CF services but still same, its in trial version.It's hard to connect with Coldfusion expert thru the live chat.Please help.Thank you

Display Results for TextArea fields

I am a novice ColdFusion user. I am trying to display results taken from an Access database to a CF form in which users can update their responses and then re-submit. Some of the fields displayed can be responsed in one line such as #1 below (which is correct).However, I need to code how to display results to a bigger TextArea field such as #2 below which is not coded correct. Migrating from CF 2016 to 2023 Issue - The service is unavailable after Migration

I am trying to migrate Coldfusion from 2016 to 2023. I have followed the migration guide and stopped the CF 2016 service and installed the 2023 release. After installation and migration from 2016, when I review the IIS websites I have on the server, I am getting the following error: The service is unavailable.Service Temporarily Unavailable!The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Sp with an sql assembly

Running a storedprocedure from coldfusion 10 and sql2014.Question is related to the stored procedure  with an assembly calling in it.The assembly is used to create a xml file.<span;>Made a very minor change in the dateadd function of sp and executed the alter sp Again.<span;>Now the assembly part is not working after making changes.<span;>Do we need to  do any additional process<span;>to work the assembly as before?<span;>Please advise

CF 2023 installation challenges on Windows 10 Pro

I'm attending CF Summit 2023 and I decided to download CF 2023 trial/developer edition with the intent of using a server instance with CF Builder (already installed) on my laptop running Windows 10 Pro. I've previously installed CF 2021 server. I've run into a several problems:Clicking or extracting the zip file did not initiate the install process.I could not find any file to kick off the installation process...but after researching...I attempted to run the \bin\cfinstall.bat, but this did not work (splash screen displays briefly then vanishes).I finally ran the cfinstall.bat from the command prompt (as administrator!!) and it seemed to work but I missed the step to create windows services.I ran the cfinstall.bat (again) but this seemed to create some kind of duplicate install (with NO option to create windows services).I tried running \bin\cfstart.bat from the command prompt and this displays a plethora of error messages related to duplicate objects, missing packages...scary stu

Install ColdFusion without a browser

Hi,  Our IT department removed our browser on our ColdFusion server. Is it still possible to migrate CF 2018 to CF 2023 without a browser on the app server? Our IT team told us to "remote in." Is that possible?

Migrating app from CF10 to CF2018 - token generation error

Migrating an old application from CF10 to CF2018 and running into problems.  The application uses a set of Java classes (which are on JAR files in the WEB-INF/lib directory).  Everything worked on the CF10 version, but after clearing up some issues (missing javax.xml.bind - downloaded and included that in the /lib directory to fix that), I am currently getting the following error:Sep 25, 2023 10:55:25 AM defapp defmod SEVERE: Error requesting token: invalid_request=javax.ws.rs.ProcessingException: org.apache.cxf.BusException: No conduit initiator was found for the namespace http://cxf.apache.org/transports/http. ColdFusion Builder for VSCode output window StackOverflowError

My VS Code extension is functioning OK, but recently I have noticed that as I type each character or move the mouse focus, errors are streamed to the output window under Adobe-CFML Language.It is not the end of the world, but I don't understand it and would like to address it.What is the last thing I changed in my VS Code environment. Probably the monthly VS Code version auto-update. And before that I think I installed a Python extension ot play around with.Has anyone seen this before?Do you have a way to address it?Will dropping re-installing the extension help? CFHTTP request to YouTube return 408 Request Time-out errors

I am using CFHTTP to test for broken links. For some reason all youtube links return 408 Request Time-out error. Simply increasing the timeout value does not make any difference. Some other servers show the same behaviour. Is there anything I can do to make it correctly detect if the link is OK? Using Nginx to map the project directories to their specific URLs

New to ColdFusion and it is truncating the entered field value

ColdFusion2021 font-family: Traditional Arabic output missing for some names.

CFCACHE and DOCTYPE Issues

When a page is succefully cached coldfusion returns the cached html with a comment line occupying the first line. If the doctype isn't the first thing IE finds in the document it displays the page in Quirks mode, which makes it nearly impossible to use CSS consistantly between browsers. Does anyone have a solution/work around to this caching issue? Running MX 7 on windows 2k3.

Intermittent PDF Performance Issues

We "randomly" started experiencing intermittent performance issues on PDF generation.  No changes were made to the code or ColdFusion configurations.  We are on CF 2021 Update 9.  When performance issues start all PDF functionality is slow but all other non-PDF generating actions appear to be fine.  During performance issues, we are getting various error messages ranging from document timeout issues, image files not found, and cfcontent erroring out on deleting file with following message: "Check if another request or process is not using the file.".  Not sure if it just noise but I also see this in event viewer:

ColdFusion 2023 random lockups

Hello, I am curious if anyone else has encountered a problem where ColdFusion 2023 looks to <CFHOME>\wwwroot instead of an SMB file share or fails to load a file from an SMB share? We are running multiple CF instances and this happens to both instances at the same time. We have found "Tomcat is down or network problems. Part of the response has already been sent to the client" errors  the isapi_redirect.log starting at the same time in both CF instances connectors. When our servers are under load our IIS worker threads will periodically use all CPU, fail IIS application pool pings, recycle and then be fine. I cannot find anything in the logs other than errors in the application.log file in the CF instances saying it was looking into the wwwroot folder or it couldn't find the file on the SMB share. Along with this the isapi_ Looking at the httperr logs in our servers we find client_reset and queue_filled errors when this happens and seems reminicient of this se

Hello, Adobe Support told me to come here... I have signed up for the Adobe Coldfusion Specialist course. This was done via work with the expectation that I would have the certification in the end. I was able to complete the couse itself; however, no test information was provided after the signup process. Anyone have any guidance here?

Slow Processing of SAML assertion

I have a page that doesn't have a fully functional SSO process. It only receives a SAML assertion and processes a login. After an upgrade to CF 2023, the processing takes 30 seconds. On CF 2018 it was 2-3 seconds. I created a test page that simply dumps the assertion. Just the dump (no other processing) also takes 30 seconds. I tried sending the test page a field of plain text that was equal in length to the assertion, and it dumped in 2-3 seconds. Any ideas as to what could cause this slowness only with the SAML assertion?
