We were applying the service releases last night to our recently upgraded Coldfusion 2021 server.  We are able to apply service releases up to #4 without any issue, however when I try and apply service release 5 or 6, the application sevice fails to start back up.  I even tried to restart it after it stops and it just continues to fail.  We have reverted back to service release 4 until we can figure this out.  I did notice that the Coldfusion ODBC server and agent dissappeared for a bit after the service release 5 and 6 were applied but then finally showed back up after about 4 or five minutes.  I also noticed in my current logs that whenever I restarted the application after a service release update, the service is trying to go out to the adobe license server but fails.  We did get the new server serial number validated and applied but we had to do it offline.  I don't know if either of these things are causing the main issue, but thought it was wort

We are migrating from Coldfusion 2018 to Coldfusion 2023. We run Enterprise Edition and have multiple instances. For secuity reasons we remove the HTTP listers after creating the instace by removing the connector from <server-dir>/runtime/conf/server.xml<Connector protocol="HTTP/1.1" port="8501" redirectPort="8445" connectionTimeout="20000" />This works fine in Coldfusion 2018  However after doing the same in Coldfusion 2023 the stop and restart actions aren't avaibleAfter adding the conenctor back into <server-dir>/runtime/conf/server.xml <Connector protocol="HTTP/1.1" port="8501" redirectPort="8445" connectionTimeout="20000" /> This the expected actions are avalible. From what i can tell eveything else works ok, including the restart after applying an update. I just wanted to check if I'm doing something wrong or if this a known issue or a bug. Thanks 

I am trying to use basic authentication with Solr and ColdFusion but am running into 2 issues. I have done the following: Create a security.json file (https://solr.apache.org/guide/7_2/basic-authentication-plugin.html).Put the security.json file in the C:\ColdFusionAdd-onServices\multicore directory of the ColdFusion server (ColdFusion 2021).Restart the ColdFusion 2021 Add-on Service service. I tested logging into the Solr Admin: http://127.0.0.1:8993/solr/ using the credentials from the security.json file.  Anonymous access is now prohibited and I am able to authenticate. Next I did the following: Login to the CFADMIN.Click the Data & Services icon on the left.Click the Solr Server link in the top navigation.Under Advanced Settings enter the credentials from the security.json file into the User name and Password fields.Click the Submit Changes button. Issue 1: The collections are not available in CFADMIN > Data & Services > ColdFusion C

Hi,I am using cfftp to transfer file to ftp server. I am able to upload file around 2 gb but I am not able to upload more then 2 gb file via cfftp coldfusion. We did an upgrade last night from Coldfusion 2018 to CF 2021.  The installation upgrade went fine but now it takes several minutes, 3 to 5 minutes, for the application server to start and sometimes we have to restart it because it fails.  The CF administrator is working as well as the website.  There is no noticeable performance differences in that part once the cf 2021 app server was running, however, when we tried to start appling the service releases, we only made it up to release 5 before it failed to start back up.  Each patch release said it completed without issue but it would just take a while for the app server to reload.  The Virtual server has dual CPUs allocated, 8GB of memory, and 30GB of C drive storage space. Does anyone have any suggestions of where to look to find the issue?

Installing ColdFuson 2023, got the step that says "you need to do offline activation" and it is already activated.In theory this server has no internet access - and I did not press any activation buttons anyway.Just wanted to confirm this is nothing to worry about (maybe the ColdFusion elves were busy last night).  

Hi folks,I'm working with the Woocommerce API. All my get commands work fine, but the put command returns a 405 error - verb not allowed. I've checked the cfm handlers in IIS, and it's set to allow all, and I do not have WebDEV installed in IIS. Any other suggestions on what to check?Thanks.. Gary

I encountered a strange situation with CFHTTP's behavior while attempting to validate coupon code requests and using the Stripe REST API. I recently migrated from CF2018 to CF2021, for a windows server.When I tried to uninstall CF2018, I restarted the server, and Apache would not start after this. I checked the Event Viewer, at in stated that it could not find the mod_jk_vhost.conf file. I thought too fix this issue, all I had to do, was change the path it wanted, from the old, non existant CF2018 path, to the CF2021 path, but there is no wsconfig folder, in CF2021/config/To "fix" this, I restored the CF2018 folder, and changed some paths in the .conf files in the older version, to point to the newer version.Now, everything works, but this is not a long term fix.Is the solution, just too copy the wsconfig folder, to CF2021?Or is there an installer or zip folder I forgot to include, when I migrated?Is this because of my lack of understanding on how Apache and ColdFusion work?I thought I configured the connection between Apache and ColdFusion, when I ran the "wsproxyconfig.exe", thats under CF2021/cfusion/bin, and adding t

Hi All, Has anyone trying sending SMS using CF SMS Gateway in unicode? Basically I did all the documentation said about setting the dataCoding to 8 and sending the actual text to the server (Clickatell SMPP Gateway). If I send it to Australia it's easily working. But for some destination such as china and korea, Clickatell doesn't support for setting up the sender id field. (which is a bit stupid i think, because i'm only using normal mobile phone number and they don't support it). That means the company will set up the sender id for me. (and that's only for some provider) This is however brings me another problem such as, I don't know which provider my clients are belong to. The weird thing is when I asked for the delivery receipt from the server it gives me delivery back with the dataCoding 0 and err = 1 (message length is invalid). This is also happens even though I send only about 6 or 7 characters long (unicode). Any help will be greatly appreciated.

if I wanted the sourceAddress to say something other than the cf gateway name for an smpp, and say for example suppose a proper mobile phone number, can this be achieved using the cfmx7 sms gateway? Currently I can only see that I would have to have the sender mobile number registered in CF as a gateway itself?

Is there really no way to manually deactivate a CF License for CF2021?  There is a way to activate via saved json files, but there is none for deactivation.  My server is isolated and cannot access the internet due to security issues.

Does anybody have any recommendations for a CF text editor that works well with CF2016? The ones I've looked at appear to be either no longer supported or very old and only supporting up to CF11 CFEclipse - No longer being developed since Dec 29th 2022, so reasonably new (possibly still the best option) CFBrackets - Looks like it's only good up to CF11 (Might still be okay for 2016) Coldfusion pad - Nothing on the web site just an EXE, so a little worrying CFBuilder - Adobe - Paid, but says 2018 release, so good for CF2016, but no longer supported? If I have to pay I'd like something that continues to be supported Sublime with CF plug in -  Looking at Github the plug in is very old and no longer supported. I found most of the link on herehttps://www.quackit.com/coldfusion/tutorial/coldfusion_editors.cfm Anybody have any thoughts on this?

CF Version: 2021,0,05,330109Java Version: 11.0.17 This is the same error I reported last year here, but the solution of changing the order the services are started in no longer works. The issue actually returned after upgrading Java and not necessarily after the move to 2021/5. I have a question. Is ColdFusion 2018 Update 19 available in Australia or not? We are using ColdFusion 2018. We have Update 16 installed on our machine, and I see that ColdFusion has released a new update 19, but when I check from Australia, it only shows Update 17.  Is that means that the latest ColdFusion update 19 is only available in the United States.

The CF2021 Update 9 notice ( https://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/kb/coldfusion-2021-update-9.html ) says "Ensure that the JRE bundled with ColdFusion is used for executing the downloaded JAR. For standalone ColdFusion, this must be at, <cf_root>/jre/bin." But APSB23-47 ( https://helpx.adobe.com/security/products/coldfusion/apsb23-47.html ) says "Note: Adobe recommends updating your ColdFusion JDK/JRE LTS version to the latest update release. Check the ColdFusion support matrix below for your supported JDK version." and "Applying the ColdFusion update without a corresponding JDK update will NOT secure the server. " Historically, I've downloaded the latest version of Java11 and used that to run ColdFusion (eg: my jvm.config:java.home=/my/downloaded/java).  But noticed the blurb in the Update9 notice about "Ensure that the JRE bundled with ColdFusion ...this must be at, <cf_root>/jre/bin." so I was confused. Do I run ColdFusion

We recently updated 5 servers from CF 2016 to CF 2021.  After installation, we immediately updated to update 6 via CF Admin. Now, when trying to move to update 8, we have two separate issues. 1:  On 3 of our 5 servers, we are unable to download the update.  On 2 servers, we're able to downlaod the update just fine.C:\ColdFusion2021\cfusion\logs\update.log doesn't state anything for the 3 servers where we can't download the update.  But it does have a line for the successful download on the 2 servers that can download the update. 2:  After manually copying the update file over to C:\ColdFusion2021\bundles\updateinstallers\, the buttons in CF Admin update to Re-download, Install, and Close.  Clicking Install results in a blank dialog box opening up.  Nothing ever happens as far as I can tell. All 5 of our servers have the CF service running via a separate user account, but that user account has full access to the CF installation fold

Upon inspection on the console it is sayingBlocked opening in a new window because the request was made in a sandboxed frame whose"allow-popups" permission is not set.We also get "sandbox', 'allow-forms allow-modals allow-popups allow-same-origin allow-scripts" not set

HelloI updated my install of CF 2018 Dev. Ed. with 2021. Now I can't browse localhost because it's looking for a 2016 install.Calling LoadLibraryEx on ISAPI filter "C:\ColdFusion2016\config\wsconfig\1\isapi_redirect.dll" failed.So it's looking in the wrong place- another older 2016 install?I can resolve HTML sites on localhost:8500/ but not CFM.All my websites are in the inetpub/wwwroot directory whichI have not changed the original IIS configuration since even before 2016 I would like to be able to keep working in this directory & resolve both HTML & CFM files form there.Can someone point me in the right direction?

Updater 7 (and 😎 installer just finished without any notifications, the same behavior manually or from CF Admin. No logs, nothing only backup was created in folder 'cfusion\hf-updates\hf-2021-00008-330144'Anyone can help? 

Hello, We have ColdFusion 2018 (HotFix4) running on (Windows Server 2016 - IIS).  The ColdFusion Lockdown has been installed.  The site was working fine with HTML & CFM pages, until something changed. Now only HTML pages work.  When we attempt to browse to a CFM page, we receive: HTTP Status 403 - ForbiddenDescription The server understood the request but refues to authorize it.Apache Tomcat/9.0.10 I confirmed the Application Pool identity account has access (Read/Execute) to the CFM files.  There is an entry under "ISAPI Filters" named "tomcat' that points to (D:\CF_Install_Folder\config\wsconfig\1\isapi_redirect.dll), and this file exists.  The (wsconfig.exe) runs fine. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this issue (403 - Forbidden) for CFM pages? Thank you!

After upgrading to CF2021 from CF2018, CAPTCHA images stopped working in one of our environments but not the others.  As far as I can tell, they appear to be configured the same other than some additional Tomcat features being turned off in the problematic environment (mobile debugging, security analyzer, RDS, and JS debug.)  None of these features seem like they should interfere with CAPTCHA. I can see the files being created by the CF calls in the {application_home}/tmpCache/CFFileServlet/_cf_captcha/ directory in all environments, but I'm getting a 404 error when the png images are requested by the browser.  The permissions from root down to the _cf_captcha directory appear to be the same in all environments, though. The uriworkermap.properties file contains /CFFileServlet/* = cfusion in all instances, and I see no alias rules or other remapping in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf nor the mod_jk files related to the connector that would be directing the server to
