Microsoft is deprecating Basic Authentication:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/clients-and-mobile-in-exchange-online/deprecation-of-basic-authentication-exchange-online We have an Application built in Coldfusion which uses CFMAIL and CFEXCHANGECONNECTION to connect to Exchange online to send email and retrieve mail from mailboxes. I wanted to know how to make this work with Microsoft modern authentication which uses OAuth 2.0 token-based authorization. Any help regarding this will be much appreciated.

I have CF2018 installed with IIS v10.  I want to make use of the Web Sockets feature but currently CFADMIN only allows options to enable this on port 8581 or port 8553.  How would I configure ColdFusion and IIS to use Web Sockets over HTTPS on port 443?

I have Docker Desktop installed in my Macbook pro 13 M2 and the Apache2 of the adobecoldfusion/coldfusion:latest-2018 container keeps failing on starting; I already check the config using apachectl configtest, and it's returning OK. Hi,I am new in ColdFusion and trying to setup CF 2021 on all DEV, TEST, and Prodction servers. DEV and TEST servers were configured properly  but I am having problem configuring Production server. I am at the step where I need to create a Virtual directory of Jakarta but I dont see wsconfig folder in config dolder. I am sure I am missing something. Thanks for you help! SK

So I tried updating CF2021 to update 5 using the command line, you know that tool that is reliable, dependable, and takes 5 minutes but now it doesnt work.  We got these "packages" that "dont install with core." What is the steps to download things onto a local desktop, scan em, copy to servers and install in command line because you all broke what was fast and reliable.  I have no internet allowed on servers policies so Adobe cannot be calling home to Adobe... 

Hi! I'm learning how to hash a user password during user registration. It looks like I can successfully generate the hash password & inserted into my DB (screen shot below). My biggest problem is validating user login & checking if both values match. My production environment is being moved from Windows 2016 to Centos 7.9. On my Windows deployment, I can run a large query without it timing out. Windows/Centos have the same Memory and CPUs. However, on the CentOS server, the same code (query) times out. I've extended the TimeOut by using sessionTimeout variable, but it still errors out. The ColdFusion Settings are identical for both servers:Timeout = 2400Request Size Limits = 1000Max size of post data = 100 Database is accessible directly by both servers. Even if I increase Timeout, Request Size Limits and Max Size of post data settings, on the Linux deployment it times out. The same settings on Windows don't time out. Any ideas? I've had to paginate pages with a lot of data, but some pages I can't paginate. It needs to display all the data pulled from the DB.

Here is my issue. I have a column of data I am attempting to write using cfspreadsheet. The data in the column is a client's identification code for a shipment.  The format they use is two numeric one alpha five numeric, example 01E23456. Lots of their shipments use E for the alpha character. When I write this to the new excel spreadsheet it ends up doing something to the data. When I open the Excel Spreadsheet I get an error, "File error: data may have been lost." I have scheduled tasks in CF 2016 . They have been running successfully for years however, now it runs but actually it does not. The scheduler log says it is triggering but actually does not. When the task's URL accessed directly from browser the CF page actually get executed. When I set the  "set to save output to file" the log  says "Connection Failure" I have restarted the CF instance with no successm Any advise would be of great help on what could be the issue with scheduled task.

Hello,I have a long standing issue with SSL via tasks that has plagued me throughout CF10, 11, and now 2018.When we initially stand up the server, we generate the certs and add them to the keystore; everything works great.  Fast foward a year, the cert expires and you update it; all tasks break with "Connection Failure".I have tried:- adding the new cert and restarting (continues to fail)- deleting the inappropriate certs and then adding the new cert (continues to fail)- searching the box for any cacerts store and adding the right cert to those (continues to fail)- giving up on the newly gernerated crt file, I remotely connect and generate the cert from the remote site and then add it to the castores (its seen as a new cert, but connections continue to fail) The fact that I can set this up during the initial install tells me my process is appropriate.  the fact that CF can never again see the cert after an update makes me think theres a cache or somthing somewhere that n

I have just sucessfully updated my ColdFusion 2021 installation from Update 4 to Update 5 manually in offline mode. However I note that there is post installation step which states:After applying this update, you must reinstall any custom hotfixes that might have been applied earlier. The hotfixes are located in the folder /ColdFusion2021/cfusion/hf-updates/hf-2021-00005-330109/backup/lib/updates.In the folder referenced above for my installation there is a single jar file 'chf20210004.jar'. So I guess that that this should be copied to <CF-ROOT>/cfusion/lib/updates and the server restarted to apply it? The folder <CF-ROOT>/cfusion/lib/updates already contains a file chf20210005.jar.

Hi, a few days ago I took notice of a security issue in the JAVA package Apache Commons Text.https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2022-42889https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2022-42889 I looked through ColdFusion installs on several servers and got the impression that package is not part of ColdFusion. Has anyone heard of this issue in relation with ColdFusion?  Best,Bernhard 

I have CF 11 installed on the computer I'm currently working on while out of town. Yes, I know it's an older vsion, but that's what I have here. I also have Dreamweaver CS6 installed.  I am NOT able to connect to RDS through the Databases tab in Dreamweaver.  I also can't remember what the original password was to reset it, and I've tried doing this in CF Administrator in the Security area.  I've also tried doing it through a command prompt, and it works, until I get to re-entering the password, after running passwordreset.bat.  Then I can't type anything in, and have to close the command prompt window.  Is there any other way that I can reset the password, without actually knowing the original RDS password?  Thank you for your help in advance.  So frustrating!

Hi allWondering if there is a clean straight simple way to export DSNs from a coldfusion server and import to another????????????I need to export a huge amount(200 plus) of DSNs from a Coldfusion 8 and a Coldfusion 9 server(s) to a new Coldfusion 11 server.Any ideas how to do that???I tried the method of overwriting the neo-datasource.xml which did work and provided the listings however when I try and verify any of the DSNs its has a encryption error. Which is understandable to a degree.I also merging or infusing the neo-datasource.xml files from both the CF 8 and CF 9 servers together , although this proved to be unsuccessful as the CF 11 server keep erroring saying it cannot find the the datasource and i believe i have no syntax errors in the Merged XML fileI find it rather ridiculous that CF admin does not have any options to export the DSNs and to import them back!!!!! , unless I am completely missing something here,I be very grateful for your help or any methods which I may have m

I'm building an app that pulls data from a 3rd party service and am running into an issue where CF is executing unwanted multiple concurrent calls to the same API endpoint. The API has a few limitations: No concurrent calls to the same endpoint for a specific API user accountA limit of 500 results returned by the API per call, with a nextPageUrl value passed back for paginationThe data I'm trying to retrieve contains over 5000 records, so I'm pulling in 500 records at a time until the nextPageUrl returns null (per the API docs). I am trying to move our site over to ColdFusion 2021 and the same code that runs in ColdFusion 10 (yes, very old), will not run in CF 2021. The CF Admin is set to save the Cached files in: E:\ColdFusion2021\cfusion\tmpCache\CFFileServlet\_cf_chart. When I watch that folder as the code is being run, rather than have all of the PNG images appear as the code is generating them, only two files are created.  %0043%0046_%0043hart_%0043ache%004danager.data  - type is "DATA File" and size is 0 KB.ehcache-diskstore.lock  - type is "LOCK File" and size is 0 KB. The obvious conclusion is that there must be a file permissions issue, but we gave "Everyone" full control, as well as the user that ColdFusion is running under - it makes no difference. After those files are created, the only way to delete them is to reboot the system. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.ThanksCurt

Hello, After updating from CF 2018 Update 14 to Update 15, on two separate servers, the XMLSearch function appears to be either removed or bugged to the point of non functioning. I got the following error dump when after the update Has anyone else encountered this? I have looked over the bug tracker and haven't seen a report yet, but since the update was just released I wanted to check here first. Here is an example of a line of code that triggered this error: <cfset searcharray = XmlSearch(data, "/Tags/Tag") /> Also, along with this problem attempting to uninstall Update 15 from a server that had gone through the ColdFusion lockdown process corrupted the installation where attempting to access the administrator UI resulted in a 500 error. A complete restore of the server in question was required to get functionality back.

Hi all,In my dev box (CF 2021 Developer edition) I try to setup an ActiveMQ Gateway. In CF Admin - Event Gateways - Settings the"Enable ColdFusion Event Gateway Services" is checked (enabled)and- Event Gateway Processing Threads = 1 (as is the max for developer edition)- Maximum number of events to queue = 2 (the max for developer edition is 10) In Gateway Instances I added an ActiveMQ instance it was saved successfully, but in the table "Configured ColdFusion Event Gateway Instances" when in Actions column I click on "Start" to enable the new Gateway instance I get a message ==> "Unable to start event gateway instance: Event Gateway Service is not enabled." I added and another Gateway instance of CFML type and I get the same error message. I rebooted and in eventGateway.log it reports"Information","Thread-24","06/21/22","14:35:16","","Stopping Event Gateways.""Information","main","06/21/22","14:35:59","","Starting Event Backend Handlers.""Information",
