I am using a linked server in the CFQUERY.The data source is type Microsoft SQL Server. The error page says “access to the remote server is denied because no login-mapping exists”.Worked OK in ColdFusion 10 on SQL 2012, but has this error in ColdFusion 2018 on SQL 2017.The linked server on this new SQL 2017 server should match the one on the SQL 2012 server. I created a view that uses the linked server, and then put that in the CFQuery.  Got the same error.Is there a way to fix or work around this?

Hi,Does anyone know how to fix the broken dialog box that pops-up when trying to apply the patches in package manager? Not all CF instances have this issue which make it more confusion why its broken for a particular instance. We are running Centos 7.9 and CF2021 (ZIP installer)To replicate, in Coldfusion Administrator (*/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm) webpage, you go to the package manager and you click "Download and Install" under core server. The confirmation box pops up but its only showing dialog box with not text or buttons.

I performed the same update on my developer edition and it works fine. I've checked all of the settings including the version of JVM and everything appears to be identical. The problem appears to be in CFQUERYPARAM, but not all of them. I'm a little embarassed to post this since I've recently posted something very similar, but this really is a different set of circumstances. I have a site running on ColdFusion 11 (v. 11,0,19,314546) without incident. As soon as I move it to ColdFusion 2018 (v. 2018.0.11.326016), without changing any code, I get the message "The system has attempted to use an undefined value, which usually indicates a programming error, either in your code or some system code. Null Pointers are another name for undefined values." This is on my local machine. I've tried rebooting, restarting ColdFusion, running in different browsers, clearing all cookies - no success. I've stepped through each line of my "onApplicationStart" block with <cfabort/> and everything is fine. When I add <cfabort/> as the first line within my "onRequestStart" block, I get the error. (There is no "onSessionStart" code, this is a fairly old site..) The site uses session management: <cfscript>this

I am having an issue with CF2021 standard where the application is experiencing performance issue. This is possibly due to the timeouts happening on one of the datasources in rds. Our App server is running on Adobe Std 2021, with httpd and tomcat on RHEL8 64bit. The app server also has a mariadb running on it, the application has the datasources on referencing to the local ones as well as the AWS RDS hosted ones.We are stuggling to find out what caused the issue. Hello , after applied update 17 to CF 2016 all cfsqltype variables dodn't work anymore . I should change cfsqltype="cf_sql_varchar2" with cfsqltype="varchar" and cfsqltype="cf_sql_number" with cfsqltype="integer" to eliminate this error of "invalid type variable" .My Question is what kind of update is it if I should retype all CF scripts or is it some kind of update bug ?

I have a simple chart based off a simple query. I am trying to display the various value labels in the legend. If I set the chart type to bar, the legend just shows "Series 1" as the label. If I change the chart type to pie, then everything displays fine. After CF2018 Upgrade from CF11, I get an intermittent ORA-01012:Not logged on error. Anyone know what's causing this? Note: The obvious question, am I logged in? Yes, via the Oracle Datasource in CFAdmin.

Can someone explain how to set up a core in SOLR in coldfusion? I delted the core that was there (don't ask...) and now no cores are available. I can get to the screen that says Add Core but I don't know what to put for the various fields. In particular, the instanceDir and dataDir. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Weird behavior of cfc defined using shorthand:component {remote function get() {return "helllooooo";}} compared to normal behavior defined this way:<cfcomponent><cffunction name="get" access="remote" returntype="String" httpmethod="GET"><cfreturn "hello world"></cffunction></cfcomponent> The 2nd example called as a REST service correctly returns hello worldThe 1st example however returns helllooooo but ALSO appends the entire component's .cfc code as follows: helllooooocomponent { remote string function get() { return "helllooooo"; } } Any ideas anybody what could be causing this? Hi, Just wondering if anyone has any experience of decrypting an EncryptedAssertion from an IDP. My current workflow is:- 1. Decrypt the symetric key from EncryptedKey element using RSA and my private key. This is giving me a string like �4Q��2�r���h` (doesn't look right, or is it?)2. Use the key extracted above to decrypt the contents of the EncryptedData/CipherData/CipherValue element. This decryption is being done using AES. I have a query where I am trying to get all records from a data table (TIMELOG) that have happened (EVENTTIME) in the past 7 days or less. The table name is TIMELOG and the field name is EVENTTIME.I want all records where EVENTTIME is in the past 7 days or less.SELECT * FROM TIMELOGWHERE #DateDiff("d",EVENTTIME,now())# < 7I don't know why this doesn't work.I get this error messageVariable EVENTTIME is undefined. 

I am attempting to do an offline activation on a ColdFusion 2021 installation on a server that is behind a protected network and does not have internet access.  I attempted to follow the instructions listed on the https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/coldfusion/using/coldfusion-licensing-activation.html#Offlineactivation help page but the option to generate a Activation Request is missing. Is there an alternative command line option or different method to generate the activation request?

Hello All, I have been working with the API manager trying to set it up so that we can use custom endpoints and not have to use the port 8500 rest calls setup in the ColdFusion administrator. I have had things working great until I needed to "secure" the ColdFusion administrator and REST APIs on port 8500 with an SSL certificate.  As soon as I setup the certificate the API manager could no longer "test" the API calls and if I remove the API set and attempt to reimport I get the following error.[ERROR] 2021-03-16 14:42:10.173 [XNIO-2 task-1] CFDiscoveryPortalServiceImpl - Error retrieving available REST servicesI suspect that it likely has something to do with adding the certificate to the keystore/truststore for the API Manager but so far I have not had luck with that. I have used keytool and added the cert to the [APIManagerHome]/jre/Contents/Home/jre/lib/security/cacerts and have also made sure it was added to the ColdFusion installs trust store as well. Coul

The ColdFusion Scheduler works for scheduled jobs, but when manually triggering a job for the first time each day from the ColdFusion Scheduler screen in ColdFusion administrator, the job appears to run successfully.  There are no application log entries with errors and the scheduler log indicates the job was manually triggered. The problem is... the job doesn't really run until I manually trigger it a second time.  Subsequent jobs run when manually triggered from the same screen until the next day by which

The documentation does not list fieldBoost in the list of valid attributes to cfindex, yet further down the page its function is described (see https://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/cfml-reference/coldfusion-tags/tags-i/cfindex.html ). It does not seem to have any effect on the cfindex tag. Has fieldBoost been removed (and how can we then boost a particular field) or has the syntax changed (and to what)?
