Have just started using Acrobat Professional and was wondering how you lock pages so that you can only navigate around the document using the links. At the moment when you just click anywhere on the page it takes you to the next page and i want to stop this happening. Does anyone know if this can be done? hi - i use acrobat 7 professional. i went into it to design an interactive form. when i did this, i exited acrobat and entered adobe designer 7. after i designed the form, i wanted to add URL links to some of the text. i tried doing this in designer but can't figure out how. so i went back to acrobat 7 pro and when i finally found the INSERT LINK command, it's all grayed out. any ideas what i'm doing wrong? thanks --

Is anyone aware of API calls for manipulating a user's Audio Profiles (tele-profile ?) in Connect 7.5?I need to be able to automatically configure a newly created user's audio profile for a specific conference provider, bridge number, moderator code, etc.I am aware that the XML API includes at least the following actions but none of them is documented:telephony-profile-infotelephony-profile-listtelephony-profile-updateI may be missing something obvious but this seems to have been entirely forgotten in the XML Web API documentation.Does anyone have access to an updated / complete spec?Thank you - Jackson Wilson

Hello. I'm hoping someone can help me out with this as I can't find any info about this anywhere?We have our own LMS and want to deliver some meeting sessions in Connect. Is it possible to link from our LMS, where the user already has a profile username and password, to a Connect meeting with the same details? In other words, they bypass the login screen and go straight into the meeting session.Many thanks,Adam

We utilize Professional Video Production techniques with Adobe Connect. We use Canon XL2 cameras and many different audio mixes through the Canon Video camera. A new problem has surfaced. When trying tyo broadcast audio from the camera via Firewire connection, the Audio setup wizard no longer recognizes a DV input source for audio. WHY? This has worked in the past and only recently become a BIG problem.

Is it possible to use multiple filters (some of same type)? I want to restrict the SCO content to just courses and curriculums only, how would I do that? When I try to use two filter-type filters, it uses the last one only.

We host a lot of meetings and use the phone conference feature that participants can dial into.  Until recently, we are unable to dial out to it from our office, we recieve a busy signal.  I tried it from my cell phone, and it worked.  So I called our phone provider and they explained to me it was on a blocklist along with 10 other numbers becuase they are getting charged for the calls.  They refuse to remove the block.  So now I cannot use the phone conference feature.  The number that is blocked is 218-486-2201.  I have contacted Adobe tech support and spoke to two different people who were unable to help me.  Does anyone know any other numbers I can use?

Can I use a normal USB camera 50 to 70 feet from the computer?  If not, is there a camera that will interface with Connect Pro via coax cable or something else that can go farther?  Is there a how-to anywhere to point me to a better camera setup than just a plain webcam, it would be nice to get a better picture and to be able to control focus and zoom even if I had to do it manually.  We have a meeting room with a podium, I'd like to mount a camera in the ceiling to point at the podium but it's going to be a good distance from the computer in the corner of that room.Thanks,Kerry

I have Professional 8.0 and I'm somewhat knowledgable about making fillable forms. However, I'm wondering if it is possible to create a fillable form that, once saved, is no longer fillable. In other words, I want users to be able to access a fillable form online, enter their data and save the form with their data, but once the form is saved, I don't want the saved document to be fillable anymore (kind of like a read only). Is this possible with Professional 8.0? If not, does anyone know if it possible with another program? Thanks in advance.

I have a user (the meeting Host) running a meeting with about 10 people. When he tries to invoke private chat with users, the drop-down with the user list appears to be 'clipped' and therefore not showing all the users. I have attached a link to a screenshot. I have never seen this phenomenon before.Note how the last user on the attendee list is not appearing on the private chat drop-down (even though the scroll bar is being lowered as much as possible).

Hello,I'm breaking into the Adobe Connect environment and am having a difficult time keeping my eye on the question chat pod to monitor incoming questions. Is there a feature that provides some sort of popup functionality alerting the presenter (namely me) when a question is keyed into the question chat pod? If no built-in feature, is there a 3rd party plugin?Thanks in advance.Tom

Dear Guys, i am getting the following error : ((No message for validation error "format", type "date", field "date-expired")) When trying to upload adobe connect 7 license to the adobe connect 7 configuration wizard. the problem occurs because my server was install on Arabic Saudi Arabia date format while installation, but if i change the windows date format to US then the problem still occurs, and formatting windows is not possible, could anybody help?? Hello, Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a tripod mountable camera for Adobe Connect? preferably something with USB interface...saw a number of mini DV cameras but alas that format is being phased out. Suggestions appreciated. Thanks

I am having issues with my new work computer and the color printer being able to connect to it with Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro installed. After several hours of trouble shooting with the IT department and several hours of conversations with Adobe - the problem is not resolved. I am interested if anyone else is having issues with Acrobat 9 and their large format printer. The printer is an IKON CPP 650 Power Pro Plus made by Konica Monolta. My company purchased a new software bundle for my computer and now are looking at uninstalling Acrobat altogether to make things work. I am hesitant to use a second party version of acrobat and need its capiblities so adobe reader is not particularly my preference either...Any thoughts?? HELP!!

There is something seriously wrong with Adobe!I have been experiencing problems with Captivate 4 and Connect Pro. My lessons do not work when I upload a ZIP file that was packaged with the Captivate 4 SCORM packager.I had a level 2 support issue created two weeks ago, plus two different Adobe employees offered help more than a week ago and I have not received a single answer from anyone.Additionally, I am paying over $300 per month for a service (Connect Pro) and I cannot use it. I even attempted to contact Adobe Connect Pro through their "Request a consultation" service (https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=connectpro), at least, four times in the past two weeks. Nothing...nothing...nothing!Calling one of their many numbers all seem to get routed to some place in either India or the Philippines and only one in ten calls seems to get me anywhere (that is how I eventually escalated my issue to level 2 support).I think I just want my subscription money back and say good ri

XP Pro SP3FF 3Flash Player 10,0,12,36My colleagues can connect, we can chat, but as soon as i click on Share My Computer Screen,the ScreenSharing ConnectNow window disappears.  It does not minimize into a small thumbnail controller, nor does it minimize to the taskbar.In TaskManager, the ConnectNow process that was associated with that window disappears.My colleagues tell me that my icon disappears from their Meeting window.I assume the appl crashed silently.Please advise

Hello,   i am evaluating the purchase of the adobe elearning suite for my company, but we have a problem, a slow internet connection, well exactly i have a problem with my uplink, only 800kbit/s (i have 20mbit/s download but for this not matters)I cant rent a better connection in the town where we have our office, i would like to host virtual classrooms with many people and interactivity so i would like to know if i could use a repeater or host for distribution or anything alike, i could then rent a dedicated server with a good internet connection and i would connect from our office only one link to this host from where the content would be distributed, well this or any other solution you can think to let me do this with my internet speed.Thanks,Miguel Angel.

Is there something wrong with Adobe Connect Pro today?I attempted to "Upload Connect" or in other words, replace the current lesson content. After waiting for the 4mb zip file to upload, the following error message was displayed:Request Not ProcessedThe system was unable to process your request. For further assistance, please check out the Connect Pro support center or  contact Connect Pro support.The result of this is that now I no longer have any lesson available from this link. The old lesson is gone and the new lesson did not successfully upload.On the lesson link page I now see:Your content is currently being processed. Thank you for your patience. Since upgrading my ThinkPad X300 to Win 7 64-bit, Connect Pro (7 and 7.5) wouldn't recognised the webcam. Funnily enough, ConnectNow from Acrobat.com doesn't have the same problem.

Hello, I placed a pdf form I created in Adobe LiveCyle Designer in Acrobat 8 professional. I could see everything on the form, when i go to output preview I am unable to see my type that was in the fields. Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong?

Starting hour number 4.5 on hold with support for a problem that Adobe admits is theirs.  Have talked to 4 people so far.  Tha last guy assured me that I wouldn't have to hold long for guy number 5... an hour later I'm still on hold. I now have 2 case numbers, nothing seems to help.Apparently when my Adobe Connect license was renewed Adobe entered wrong info and now I can't administer my account without them re-setting it.I think I'm hanging up and going to lunch.  If anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated.  But it appears that I'm at their mercy...Just needed to vent!
