Digital Editions

ADE is fine except for when I'm using PDFs. The keyboard shortcuts to scroll listed in Getting Started With Adobe Digital Editions don't work! Up Arrow - Scrolls up by line (in Fit Width, Actual Size (1:1) or Zoom level views) Scrolls up a page (in Fit Page views) Down Arrow - Scrolls down by line (in Fit Width, Actual Size (1:1) or Zoom level views) Scrolls down a page (in Fit Page view) In Fit Width view, neither the up or the down arrow do this. Instead, sometimes they will allow me to go back or forward a page then lose that functionality until I scroll with the mouse. Left Arrow - Goes to previous half screen (for PDF documents) Goes to previous page (for EPUB documents) Right Arrow - Goes to next half screen (for PDF documents) Goes to next page (for EPUB documents) These buttons don't do anything.What's going on?!

Hi, I am having some issue with my device Kobo Clara HD. I have download a book from my public library (.acsm), installed ADE and do all the required authorization (computer and device). The file is transfered to the device without issue (at first glance) but when I disconnect my device from my computer and try opening the book on my Kobo, the file still say I am unauthorized to read the file (I double check and it says I am authorized on the device setting. I have tried removing the file, remove and add back the authorization, reinstall ADE. Nothing works. I have not done the factory reset but the device is new. I don't know why I would need to do that Thank you

When I try to sign in with my Adobe ID in Aldiko, it says, "Connecting to server". Then the sign-in screen dissappears without giving an error message! When I try to read a book, it prompts me to sign in again! What's going on? This worked before my device forgot all of my saved password data!

Hi, I am used to reading ebooks in epub format with Adobe Digital Editions on my Kobo Aura HD e-reader but with the last 2 books I downloaded from my local public library (I already read other ebooks from that public library with no problems before) I get the following message: "your e-reader is not authorized to open this book. This book is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM). As you previously unauthorized your e-reader, you have to re-import the book using Adobe Digital Editions (ADE)."I already tried this:I uninstalled ADE on my computer, removed the authorization both on my computer and e-reader and then authorized them both again, I logged out from my e-reader and logged in again, removed the ebooks downloaded both on my computer and e-reader and downloaded them... I also cleared / emptied my history on my computer...I have done all this several times but with no success: the error message still remains!I contacted Kobo support: they had no solution and re-directed

Every time I go to Adobe Digital Editions I keep seeing old deleted books with only blocks that can't be opened.After removal, they reappear.

I'm getting the dreaded "Failed to connect to fulfillment server" error when attempting to dowload a new e-book into ADE via an .ascm link.I tried directly opening this site in a web browser:http://adeactivate.adobe.com/The result is just a blank page, with no error. (And yes, other web-sites work fine, so there's no issue with internet connectivity. I also tried other browsers, even other PCs - same result, or sometimes "web page unreachable").Does this mean the activation server is down? If so, it seems not just a temporary outage - it's been like that for at least a week.Thanks. 

I bought a book for my son with loads of pictures (a book by Terry Denton and Andy Griffith). The book is automatically synchronized with my own ereader (kobo clara) and works fine.For my sons ereader i download the book, the file is automatically made into a epub by digital editions and I place it on his ereader manually with digital editions.On his ereader (also a kobo, a kobo nia) the book does not show any text, pages are cut off and some pages are even empty. The same happens when I borough books from the library. I place them on the ereader with digitial editions and the books not readable. This happens on both the ereaders.As the books downloaded through the kobo shop work fine, it should work.Is anybody familiar with this problem and how can I solve this? 

I'm using a PC with Windows 11 ~~OK, I feel stupid. I installed Digital Editions to find a certain section in an ascm book. I entered a keyword & hit Search, assuming I could advance through the book to every instance of the word till I found the part I want. Instead, nothing happened. Search is working only if the word I want is on the page I am looking at. If the word is present on the current page, it will be highlighted. If there are several instances of the word on that page, search will advance through all the instances on the current page, but will not advance on to other pages that contain the word-- ie, if the word shows up 3 times on the page, Search will highlight the word & cycle through the 3 instances indefinitely. It does not move on to highlight the word 8 pages earlier or later.What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to search the entire book for a keyword, or does it only work on the currently visible page?

Whenever I try to download a book from my online library, Digital Editions just shuts down immediately. I have the newest version, 4.5, on my Windows laptop. It is really frustrating because my e-reader is useless. How can I fix this?

I downloaded an ebook from a Library and I was able to read it in Adobe Digital Edtitions, but now I can't. There is a conflict with the ID. Error: License is for another user account. Maybe when I downloaded it, Adobe Digital was activated with no ID. and after I changed the ID. I have tried to download acsm again from library but it returns error "Cannot download LIC ALREADY FULLFILLED BY OTHER USER". How can I solve this problem?

it says i do not have permision to download a book to my nook  adobe always worked on my old computer but since i changed computers it has not worked 

I cannot open an ACSM file on my macbook and everytime I try to open it, I get the screenshot I attached below. I tried to delete the authorization but it failed to do so (ss attached). I even tried to delete it manually, but I could not find the ADE folder nor the activation.dat file. I tried reinstalling and nothing is wroking. Please help. 

I tried to read Murderbot #6 on my Kobo on a Mac, and it didn't work. I downloaded through Libby, opened the files in Adobe Digital Editions, moved them to my Kobo, and the Kobo just keeps saying I don't have authorization.I deleted my authorization on the Kobo and reauthorized.I downloaded a fresh copy of the file.I reset my authorization to my new email address.None of it worked, so I'm reading it on my phone. The moral of the story is, drop the DRM already. It's *not helping*. Just let us download files. I swear, your building won't burn down, and the eeeevil communists won't take cover.

When I try to authorize in adobe digital editions with my adobe account it gives me an "Incorrect login ID or password for the selected eBook vendor. Please try again.". I've tried resetting my password multiple times but it hasn't helped. Could you help me find the issue?

I was told by someone at Adobe to come here for the "Crack Team of Experts" in this forum that can help with this problem.  Any idea how to fix this issue with Adobe Digitial Editions????

HiI recently purchased a E-bbok from Google book and it appears to be a ACFM file. then I downloaded it to my laptop and open it with ADM. At this point, I authorized my laptop without any ID. Then the system broke down and I re-installed the OSWhen I tried to re open the ACSM file with ADM, it showed E_GOOGLE_DEVICE_LIMIT_REACHED. SO HOW CAN I FIX THIS PROBLEM?

I installed Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.11 and have the issue, that several EPUB files , readable with Firefox EPUBReader extension without any problems, let crash the ADE 4.5.11 (win).EPUB can be opened in ADE 4.5.11, but when trying to switch the page, ADE 4.5.11 presents black bars and does  not react on any key or mouse handle.TaskManager shows, that CPU is running with high load and the used memory is growing - it looks as ADE 4.5.11 is running into an infinite loop.ADE 4.5.11 can not be closed in a normal way, its thread must be killed via TaskManager. Has anyone else such experience?Regards   

Hi. Is it possible to download Digial Editions on MacBook Pro and transfer to iPad?I did download it to my Mac, although the link showed iPhone or iPad, maybe this is why it doesn't work?I authorised the app on the Mac, but no way can I transfer books to my iPad.  In the app library the downloaded book just keeps replicating itself.  I can move it to Finder or Air Drop, but they do not transfer across to the iPad.Am I wasting my time?Your help would be appreciated, thank you.

When I try to download a new book it comes up with the error message E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12. I read that to fix this you need to erase authorisation, so I tried to do that but it says 'unable to erase authorisation. please try after some time'. It's been saying that for a few months. Then I read you can manually delete the activation.dat file to erase authorisation, but there is no authorisation.dat file (nor Digital Editions folder) on my laptop. What should I do next? Thanks

Ho recentemente cambiato il mio PC acquistato un nuovo IMac e dovuto installare nuovamente Adobe Digital Edition per Mac, versione 4.5 (in precedenza avevo la versione 2.1 che non mi ha mai dato problemi)Il problema è che non riesco a scarica nella mia biblioteca di Adobe qualsiasi ebook con .acsmHo provato CTRL + SHIFT + D seguendo le istruzioni ma non funziona. Esce una scritta "impossibile eliminare l'autorizzazione". Ho provato a installare nuovamente Adobe Digital Edition ma niente.Qualcuno mi può aiutare? Sono settimane che tento di risolvere il problema senza successo!Esiste un altro programma che possa fare la stessa cosa?

I recently upgraded to windows 11. Is ADE not compatible with the latest version of windows because it won't open now or is there something I can do to remedy this please? 

I urgently need help!!! A few days ago all standard bookshelves in ADE 4.5.1 (windows 10 PC) vanished from the surface, no books are shown in my library, when I try to drag and drop my bought books, ADE tells me they are in the library, but I can't find or open any book, tried reinstall (4 times now!!!) but nothing happens. That's Horror, spent lots of Euros in ebooks and can't read them!!!
