Digital Editions

I am having trouble authorizing my Kobo e-reader for Adobe Digital Editions. As a result, I am unable to drag and drop epub files from my computer to my Kobo device. I have an Adobe ID, but when I attempt to complete the authorization process for my device, I receive a message stating "You can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't been previously used to authorize any other computer or device, Please try again."   I am not aware that I previously authorized and other computer or device. Any suggestions?

      Just borrowed an ebook from a library.       Adobe Digital Editions on my desktop lets me open and read it.  However, I want to read it on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2017) tablet.  So I downloaded ADE to the tablet, but ADE won't let me open/read it.       It wants me to authorize with a vendor, but my library is not on the drop down vendor list.        (Overdrive.com is on the vendor list.  I access Overdrive.com through the library.  But ADE won't recognize the library's logon/password.  So I created an Overdrive.com account based on my email address.  But it won't open the book because it isn't from Overdrive.com.  The book was not borrowed through Overdrive.com; from the library itself.)      I was able to 'authorize' ADE on my desktop (several years ago) without choosing a vendor, but I don't see that option on the tablet.  

Please reset my device count. I just installed a new update on my tolino and now it does not allow me to read my books.

Hi,Every time I try to authorize my new e-book reader, I receive the error message E_AUTH_FAILED. I can however log in from my PC. Is that due to too many authorized devices? And if so, how do I deauthorize them?Thank you,Frank

Unable to downloadError getting license, License server communication problem: E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERRORTrying to borrow an eBook from Bolinda, ACSM file and the above error message occurs, I've tried re-authorising my computer, re-starting my computer and updating to the latest version of Digital editions, none of these things have worked. I've previoulsy been able to borrow ebooks in digital editions without any problems.

I get books from borrowbox normally without any problems. Just encoutered this error today, so hopefully it's a temporary server problem. E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR I get this when trying to open ACSM from borrowbox. When downloading from another service like Overdrive, there is no problem.

Unable to download digital books from my library to my KOBO Aura H2O e-reader. I am no longer able to download digital books borrowed from my municipal library on my KOBO will have H2O 2nd edition e-reader.  Adobe digital edition does not work on my Mac and it's impossible to download ADE on App Sstore for Mac.

I am trying to copy my borrowed library e-books on my KOBO using the Adobe Digital Editions app.  I get an error message that states could not copy because I have exceeded the activation limits,  contact customer service to reset activations. Please advise as to how to get to custormer service. 

For no reason, I cannot either Return or Download borrowed or new books from Borrowbox – Iget the Error Message : “Error getting license. License Server Communication Problem.E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR” I have typed this in as the code on the following site: https//:adobe.com/go/error-codes It tells me the Error Code is not known. My computer is authorised and I have recently returned and downloaded off Borrowbox without any problem. How do we resolve..........?

I thought I give it a shot. Was looking for an ebook reading app. After installing ADE I was quite surprised to see that obviously nobody at Adobe had thoght about that a Windows application nowadays should be capable to handle touch input.An ebook app, touch input?  Wow that's revolutionary isn't it?What happens if I tap on a page (in fullscreen mode) in ADE? Well the virtual keyboard pops up! Wow, sensational!Also, what happens if you switch to fullscreen mode? Yeah, it's not fullscreen. There is an ugly title bar on top and a behind the taskbar hidden scrollbar at the bootom of the page.So even if Adobe would like to force us to use a scrollbar to read our 1000 page book  (instead of the natural swipe gesture) even that's impossible, because you can't access it behind the taskbar.Sometimes you think it couldn't get worse, but here.....unbelievable.Never uninstalled a program quicker than ADE...

Unable to download to my Kobo as notified by the following message. Error getting license, license server communication problem:E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR

I have been using Adobe digital editions to download books from my library for years and then transferring them to a kobo reader. Today I tried to download some books but got the message E-LIC-SIGN-ERROR. I have tried rebooting the pc and uninstalling and installing digital editions but still get this message. If I click on help it says my pc is authorised. Can anyone help.

Hi. I've been using digital editions to read my textbook and the past two days, every time I try to scroll or press the arrows to move on to the next page, the program freezes and stops responding, and eventually closes. There are rare occurrences that it unfreezes and turns the page, but it is essentially making my book unreadable, since every time I close the program and re-open the book, it brings me back to the original page I was onIs anyone else experiencing this issue? How can I fix it?

Hello, We have 2 Kobo forma e-readers and 1 MAC computer. I have two Adobe digital editions IDs and two Kobo IDs. I am not able to download books on the 2nd.I need help... . 

Dear all, I have downloaded a book on my PC DE app and it works well. The book is also synchronized on the other PC and Mac apps. The problem is with my Android tablet app: the book is not automatically downloaded in the library like in the PC app. I tried to log out from the app and reinstall it, but it does not work. Any suggestion? 

Hello, i have instal ADE and autorized my computer, so well so good. Now i connect my Kobo Libra H20 and ADE stopped immediatly. I need this program so i can read my books i loand by my library. i'm sorry for my bad englisch. What can i do? 

I have been borowing ebooks through my local library for years, in the last month or so, ADE is not sending the books to my e reader. I have uninstalled ADE and re-installed it thinking that that may fix the problem, no such luck. I don't even know how to open ADE after it has been installed on my computer. I have spent hours and hours trying to fix whatever, but not being very computer savee, I am now completely at my wits end..... HELP anone 

Hi everyone, ADE is not detecting my Kobo Glo HD when it is plugged into my Mac.  My Mac is detecting my Kobo though, as it is popping up under "locations". I found some older threads with this issue, suggesting that users download ADE 3.0; however, that did not work for me as my current operating system makes ADE 3.0 not operable. Help!Thanks, e. 

I downloaded Adobe Digital editions to my PC. When I first opened it, it didn't ask me to authorize a device, just automatically authorized with my CloudLibrary account. I want to access protected files from elsewhere to read on my Kobo, but there is no option to authorize my Adobe ID. I am able to add and read the protected files on Adobe Digital Editions and (appear to) transfer them to my Kobo, but I can't open them on my Kobo because it says I haven't authorized the device. How do I get Adobe Digital Editions to give me the option to authorize my Adobe ID?

When I open Adobe Digital Editions I don't see the application "Devices" to authorized the connection with my e-reader

I just changed laptops and I can't access any of the books I bought on my reader in my other computer. Even though I can see them, I get an error message (E_ACT_NOT_READY). Does anyone know how I can rectify this?
