Hallo,auf meinem Laptop W10 lassen sich EBook-Dateien nicht anzeigen. Mögliche Ursache: unter "Standard-Apps nach Dateityp auswählen" ist bei ascm-Dateien der A-Reader DC eingestellt. Meine Frage : wie bekomme ich den "raus" und A-Digital Edition 4.5 "rein"? Danke. M.f.G. D.Knauf  

I work for a company that deals with digital lending in libraries and many of our subscribers are unable to transfer ebooks from Adobe Digital Editions to Kobo and other DRM-compliant e-readers: every time they try, they get a message that asks them to authorize their device (when in fact it's already authorized).To be more specific: it seems to happen on DRM-protected epub3's and is happening both via Mac and Windows computers. I see that many users has had the same problem: does anyone have at least a temporary solution, given that this problem undoubtedly depends on Adobe? Thank you.

I keep getting the below error when downloading my RPLU digital books. I was able to download one, but I can't get the other 20. "Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_DUPLICATE_TRANSACTION_ID" I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. 

I bought an ebook and in order to read it I had to download Adobe digital editions but I can't get the book to open in that app 

I keep getting a copy not allowed error when I try to load ebooks onto my Kobo from ADE. They are both authorized, ADE to my computer and Kobo to ADE under the same ID.

I was having trouble copying a book onto my kobo touch, so I deauthorized my reader with the hopes that newly authorizing it may resolve the problem. When I try to authorize my device I get the error messge "Activation Server Error - code E_ADEPT_USER_UNKNOWN Digital Editions encounter an error on the activation server. I tried to erase the authorization on my MAC to reauthorize the computer and Adobe Digital Editions will not let me erase the authorization on the computer. Can anyone assist in resolving this issue? Thank you 

Recently acquired a Kindle v4, and have downloaded e-books from public library; these require conversion by ADE.  So that done, and according to all the instructions should be simple process to transfer to the Kindle.  But, when connected to the pc, although showing on File Explorer as connected to the pc, the Kindle is not showing as a Device in ADE, so not possible to tarnsfer.  Have deleted programs and re-installed etc etc, including downloading ADE 3.0 as well as 4.5 - with same results.  Looking at various things on-line to resolve, also downloaded Epubor Ultimate and Send To Kindle - which did the conversion and appeared to transfer the book - but only a portion of it (whether that has anything to do with Epubor being a trial version ....??)

I have a problem with Adobe Digital Editions. I would like some help with my problem.I want to look at a PDF using Adobe Digital Editions. (I'm on a Mac.) I got the PDF from the Internet Archive, so it was formatted as an ACSM file at first. I want to see two pages of the PDF at the same time. When I click on the "Reading" menu, there is an option called "Double-page View" that I want to click on. However, the text of the "Double-page View" option is grey, and I can't click on it. I want to know how to make it so I can click on the option, and see two pages of my PDF at the same time.I wanted to get help for my problem from Adobe's support. I tried using the online support tool, and I tried calling customer support on the phone, but neither of them could help me. Both times I tried, I was told to try the "adobe support community forums" instead, so I am posting here. No Adobe employee will ever read this so this was a fundamentally worthless exertion of effort but I guess if anyone her

When I try to activate my new device I receive an error message E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS.I assume I've reached the limit of 6 devices. I only have one current other device, probably most of the other activations are on old devices which are broken or trashed. So unauthorizing those old devices from the Adobe Digital Editions menu is not possible anymore. Is there any other way to unauthorize the old devices?  Adobe Supoort chat doesn't know and point me to these froums.

Bonjour à tous,Je dispose d'un ID Adobe avec lié à mon adresse mail et avec mot de passe correct, aucun problème de ce côté. Malgré cela, quand j'essaie d'autoriser mon ordinateur (ce que j'ai besoin de faire pour un e-book protégé téléchargé sur Amazon), j'ai un message d'erreur : "Erreur au niveau du serveur d'activation - E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED" avec un lien (sur lequel je ne peux pas cliquer). Est-ce qu'une personne ici a déjà rencontré ce problème ? En plus, impossible de contacter qui que ce soit chez Adobe pour au moins vérifier de leur côté qu'il n'y a pas de problème avec mon compte ! J'ai déjà essayé de désinstaller/réinstaller ADE, sans que cela change quoi que ce soit au problème. Merci d'avance pour votre aide 🙂

Hello dear experts I purchased 2 books from kobo and at the purchase time everything was OK but after reinstalling windows on my leptop when I opened the epub files for reading it's asking the wender's adobe ID and password when I entered my own adobe ID and password it says that the account is not associated with those books. So my first question is how to find out the adobe ID associated with a particular file? Secondly when I tryed to redownload the file via exim/URL file received from kobo it's giving the following message: Unable to downloadError getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USERSo kindly help me how to solve this.

Hi, have a nook bnrv350, basically a 2nd gen nook. need to activate the new nook (same model) and barnes and noble tech support say that I need the adobe digital editions 3.0 because the nook is so old.  Tried to google the download but came across some shady links that I didn't trust.

Hello, I get an error when I'm trying to change my Adobe ID to old, there is error "The Primary email address (Adobe ID) field must contain a valid value".Another problem is I can't log in via https://adeactivate.adobe.com/adept/en/JoinAccountLoginForm.jsp. There is an "Unexpected error". I cannot log in to accounts associated with PocketBook eBook Vendor and also associated with AdobeID (this account). When I want to log in to Adobe Digital Editions to one of my accounts associated with PocketBook eBook Vendor , I get the following error:

Hello,Sometimes, ebooks I borrowed and returned months ago reappear (the cover is often missing, but not all the time... a little "cloud" glyph appears in the upper left corner of the ebook). If I try to delete them by right clicking and selecting "Remove from Library", they do disappear, but next time I start the application, they come back again.I saw that this situation was a bug in 2016 but 4 years later, no changes ! Do you know why or what can I do ?

By mistake I went  to activate ADE anonymously.  I want to use my ADE ID because I want to share books with other devices.  I am using a Mac, and the "help" menu of the app does not have the "authorization" option active.  What to do? 

Win 10 Ver 1909. This problem has been going on for the past several versions of both Win 10 and ADE but I've managed to workaround. It almost invariably either freezes/not responding on opening ADE or if I can get by that the download window freezes even though the book has successfully downloaded to the My Digital Editions folder. Today, I initially got the not responding problem. I used task manager to end task for ADE but then it would not open and had to restart the computer. I renamed the MDE folder in documents and ADE opened successfully but when I downloaded the book the download window remained open. I closed it with task manager and the program opened normally and the book was shown in the library. Any ideas on how to fix this so it works reliably?

When I had to change to my new computer, ADE no longer worked. I upgraded to ADE 4.5 but it wouldn't accept my books when I tried to transfer them from my Downloads folder to ADE in order to download them onto my Kobo. The first problem was my old ID - I no longer used that email address (the provider has gone out of business) and I couldn't remember the password I had used! I created a new ID using my current email address and Adobe deleted my old ID. HOWEVER, my computer still recognizes my OLD ID and I can't deauthorize it because I don't know the password! And I can't authorize my computer with my new ID because that option under HELP is greyed out! Can somebody please tell me how to get around this?

I am trying to download a book from my University library using Ebscohost to read using Digital Editions. I can download the book, but am unable to open it using Digtial Editions. I wonder if the problem is because my Adobe ID is associated with my gmail but my Ebscohost account is through my university ID. While I used to be able to download books from multiple libraries and read them using digital editions, I am not able to do so anymore and I don't know why. I have tried uninstalling Adobe Digital Editions and reinstalling multiple times.  

Upgraded to Mac OS Mojave (Macbook Pro); can't read purchased books on Adobe Digital Editions.I de-authorized the computer, changed my password, restarted ADM, tried to re-authorize the computer; get the message "Activation Service Error - code E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY. I've tried everything suggested on Adobe's help pages.
