Hello dear experts I purchased 2 books from kobo and at the purchase time everything was OK but after reinstalling windows on my leptop when I opened the epub files for reading it's asking the wender's adobe ID and password when I entered my own adobe ID and password it says that the account is not associated with those books. So my first question is how to find out the adobe ID associated with a particular file? Secondly when I tryed to redownload the file via exim/URL file received from kobo it's giving the following message: Unable to downloadError getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USERSo kindly help me how to solve this.

Hi, have a nook bnrv350, basically a 2nd gen nook. need to activate the new nook (same model) and barnes and noble tech support say that I need the adobe digital editions 3.0 because the nook is so old.  Tried to google the download but came across some shady links that I didn't trust.

Hello, I get an error when I'm trying to change my Adobe ID to old, there is error "The Primary email address (Adobe ID) field must contain a valid value".Another problem is I can't log in via https://adeactivate.adobe.com/adept/en/JoinAccountLoginForm.jsp. There is an "Unexpected error". I cannot log in to accounts associated with PocketBook eBook Vendor and also associated with AdobeID (this account). When I want to log in to Adobe Digital Editions to one of my accounts associated with PocketBook eBook Vendor , I get the following error:

Hello,Sometimes, ebooks I borrowed and returned months ago reappear (the cover is often missing, but not all the time... a little "cloud" glyph appears in the upper left corner of the ebook). If I try to delete them by right clicking and selecting "Remove from Library", they do disappear, but next time I start the application, they come back again.I saw that this situation was a bug in 2016 but 4 years later, no changes ! Do you know why or what can I do ?

By mistake I went  to activate ADE anonymously.  I want to use my ADE ID because I want to share books with other devices.  I am using a Mac, and the "help" menu of the app does not have the "authorization" option active.  What to do? 

Win 10 Ver 1909. This problem has been going on for the past several versions of both Win 10 and ADE but I've managed to workaround. It almost invariably either freezes/not responding on opening ADE or if I can get by that the download window freezes even though the book has successfully downloaded to the My Digital Editions folder. Today, I initially got the not responding problem. I used task manager to end task for ADE but then it would not open and had to restart the computer. I renamed the MDE folder in documents and ADE opened successfully but when I downloaded the book the download window remained open. I closed it with task manager and the program opened normally and the book was shown in the library. Any ideas on how to fix this so it works reliably?

When I had to change to my new computer, ADE no longer worked. I upgraded to ADE 4.5 but it wouldn't accept my books when I tried to transfer them from my Downloads folder to ADE in order to download them onto my Kobo. The first problem was my old ID - I no longer used that email address (the provider has gone out of business) and I couldn't remember the password I had used! I created a new ID using my current email address and Adobe deleted my old ID. HOWEVER, my computer still recognizes my OLD ID and I can't deauthorize it because I don't know the password! And I can't authorize my computer with my new ID because that option under HELP is greyed out! Can somebody please tell me how to get around this?

I am trying to download a book from my University library using Ebscohost to read using Digital Editions. I can download the book, but am unable to open it using Digtial Editions. I wonder if the problem is because my Adobe ID is associated with my gmail but my Ebscohost account is through my university ID. While I used to be able to download books from multiple libraries and read them using digital editions, I am not able to do so anymore and I don't know why. I have tried uninstalling Adobe Digital Editions and reinstalling multiple times.  

Upgraded to Mac OS Mojave (Macbook Pro); can't read purchased books on Adobe Digital Editions.I de-authorized the computer, changed my password, restarted ADM, tried to re-authorize the computer; get the message "Activation Service Error - code E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY. I've tried everything suggested on Adobe's help pages.

I am having trouble reading an e-book that I purchased. After installing Digital Editions, I've found that I can not hold the down-arrow to scroll multiple lines. Rather, I am redundantly tapping down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, and so on; you get the idea. In Acrobat Standard, as well as Acrobat Reader, I can hold the down arrow but that doesn't seem to work in Digital Editions. What is the key to scroll continuously so as to avoid getting carpal tunnel syndrome on my first of hopefully many e-books? Also, a somewhat related question, I have an ideal text size on my laptop screen, and to get to that size quickly, I usually will press the Ctrl-+ and Ctrl-minus keyboard shortcuts in Reader. What are the equivalent shortcuts in Editions, so that I can be equally productive in reading e-books as I am reading standard Reader content? Thank you in advance, Justin Brown

Hello.  I use adobe digital editions to place ebooks on my ereader. Since my laptop broke down I wanted to use digital editions on another computer. Hoever, when I register my account it gives an error message that I can only register with an adobe-ID which isn't used for the autorisation of a device. I contacted the chatbox to ask them to get rid of the old device connected with the adobe-ID but both the automated bot as the following-up guy couldn't help me. The following-up guy said I should post my problem in this community. That's the reason of this post.  A somehow maybe related question on the troubleshooting & help page said that a problem can occur when there are to many device registered to my adobe account and that the limit is six (although I have only one registration as far as I know). However, it also says that I should 'contact us' to have the activation count reset. When I click the 'contact us' button the chat with the following-up guy appears

Bonjour je possède une liseuse Kobo et depuis le passage à ADE 4.5 alors que ma liseuse est autorisée, quand je télécharge les livres sur ma liseuse, on me dit que le DRM n'est pas autorisé ??? il semble que c'est un problème depuis une mise à jour de ADE, qu'attends ADOBE pour régler ce problème

Bonjour,  Je vois que beaucoup de monde a le même souci mais je vois peu de solution.  Je cherche désespérément à réinitialiser totalement toutes mes autorisations DRM afin de pouvoir à nouveau enregistrer mes applications - Quand je configure une application je reçois le message d'erreur : nombre d'autorsation atteinte" et que soit le type de logiciel utilisé.. Le chat se révèle profondément inefficace à ma demande...  Que puis-je faire ?  Merci d'avance à qui pourra m'aider..

I just want to make it easier for corporate users of ADE.Roaming profiles pick up the ADEPT (Authorization data) and copy it to another machine where it's invalid.Because the authorization is essentially a per-machine setting, it should be stored in the user's local not roaming profile.In the registry keys, that could look like this:HKCU\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Adobe\Adept(rather than HKCU\Software\Adobe\Adept)This will help avoid some of the problems.Won't help when user wants to de-authorise with an ID that they've either forgotten or changed the password for - the Adept key will then still need to be deleted.This would be a software change - asking that Adobe consider doing this change.

Me he descargado varios libros en mi pc que no puedo ver en mi tablet en ADE. Es posible que haya elegido   la autorización sin ID, sin ser consciente, pero ¿ como puedo saberlo? Por otro lado, ¿podría desautorizar y volver a autorizar con ID como forma de solucionarlo y lograr ver en todos los dispositivos? Gracias por su respuesta.

I am able to download library books to my desktop, but not able to copy to my Kobo which is not recognized by ADE - it isn't even recognized using the HELP tab.  ADE is linked to an old/inactive email and the old password to this account does not work.  I would like to link ADE to my new email and my Kobo, but when I reinstall ADE, it defaults to the old set up.  I can download books to my Kobo from the Kobo Shop, so I know that the front and back ends are working - now I just need to connect the two systems.
