Digital Editions

After upgrading to macOS 15, Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 crashes.Buying ebooks with encryption is not a good idea after all. I guess I will skip those books in the future.  

Have bought a book from Hive, have downloaded ADE as instructed, then my Mac says ADE 3.0 needs updating (by Adobe) in order to open & allow download of book. Why so complicated? I dont want to have to be a techie to do this - too old.

Good morning, I am unable to authorize my MacBook Pro. Every time I enter my ID and password and click "authorize" a pop-up appears with the message that ADE wants to use confidential information that is stored in 'digital editions' in my keychain. If I enter the same password there I am refused.

Bonjour, j'ai acheté sur DUNOT , un ebook.  Je respecte toute la procédure mais une fois arrivé sur ADE, la lecture du livre est impossible, le changement de page est imposible pour changé de page , je suis obligé de fermer ouvrir l'appication, ou changer l'affichage de la page. Tout cela rends mon expérience extrement désagréable sachant je dispose de la derniere version a jour de ADE. Comment remédier à ce probléme ?

Hi All, Please help - My Adobe Digital Editions will not let me move within the book, and it won't let me scroll. The page counter increases / decreases, but the page is not relaoded with the new information of the next or previous page.I have to click on the full-screen option and click back to a smaller one if I want to get it to refresh.My current version is 4.5.12.112I have one ebook loaded which is a learner guide and I am afraid that if I uninstall / re-install I will not be able to open the learner guide again ? Any advice please?Kind reg,G

Reads other epub files and the one I downloaded from Adobe, but not the downloads from jw.org. The previous ADE 3.0 did read Jw.org epub files.Icon just sits there spinning until I crtl alt del.Is there any fix, but going backwards to old ADE 3.0

Hello Adobe,My e-book is DRM protected. I can not copy paste any text. Which is fine because it is a study book and you have added a highlight function for me to help me get to the core of the contents.The highlighting function works. Sometimes. Yesterday I highlighted away. Today, I continu in the same document and the Highlight option is greyed out. CTRL+M does nothing. So I scroll to previous pages. Also there the option is greyed out. But CTRL+M does highlight a text. I don't get this random behaviour?!? I would like to hear a solution promptly.Regards,René

Unable to scroll within any document hosted in the Adobe Digital Edition version 4.5.11.187303Does not work for any document including the sample document "Getting Startedthat came default  ADE was installed.Arrow keys don`t work. Clicking inside and scrolling does not work either. Trackpad gestures don`t work. Page up and Page Down don`t work. Went through some of the historic posts and tried the suggestions mentioned such as restart and resizing but it does not seem to work. Running it on Win 10 OS on an HP x360 laptop(and tablet) Any replies or solutions are truly appreciated. Regards,Jez

These are the contents of the courses I teach. I teach them with Publish online and at the end I want to give them a protected upub (so that they can't copy the texts from the epub) or the images. I don't know if you can put a DRM from indesign or if you have another way to protect it.

Hi there, I just purchased a book on Google Play. For university research purposes I find it very important to be able to highlight the text, however the function doesn't seem to work in my version of Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 (I can click on it however nothing is being highlighted). I have already reopened/re-downloaded the programme several times but no luck so far. Is there anything I can do to solve the problem? Thanks for your help! 

I can´t choose a Vendor ID account to authorize my device with my VendorID in ADE for iPhone.Adobe ID options does not change even after selecting my Vendor ID from the popup menu. Please, your help.

I see that people have made these complaints on this forum for years and therefore I suspect that Adobe Digital Editions phone app is a neglected low priority product for Adobe. As a professor who requires  students to read eBooks purchased by our university library, I'm disappointed since we are increasingly moving to eBooks and students are increasingly using their phones and wanting a read aloud feature. They are able to read the eBook on the ProQuest Clarivate website on their laptops without utilizing Adobe but the Adobe Digital Editions app on their phones only brings frustration.  First, there on the Adobe Digital Editions phone app there is no automatic zoom to remove the margins so one has to pinch to zoom in but then you can't scroll without the page zooming out again wildly until you "exit Zoom" so continuous reading is impossible. Hello everybody, I've got some books from Kobo and stumbled across a problem, I cannot solve on my own. I'm gonna try to be as specific as I can with the whole situation, so please bear with me (TL:DR at the end). 1. The books in questionBeginning on the 01.07.2023 (07/01/2023) to the 22.07.2023 (07/22/2023), HumbleBundle offered a bundle containing the Baki (also known as New Grappler Baki) manga series (31 volumes and with it 31 ebooks in total, see https://www.humblebundle.com/books/baki-collection-books). Purchasing said bundle gave me activation codes, which I could use to redeem the books (BAKI Volume books, not the Chapter ones) on Kobo. Having redeemed the codes, I started downloading the ebooks (through .acsm files provided by Kobo) in Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) onto my computer, since I'd like to have the books stored locally. 2. bonjour lorsque j'entre mon ID et mon mot de passe j'ai un message d'erreur comme quoi mes informations sont incorectes... pourtant les informations sont les bonnes j'ai même tenté de changer mon mot de passe. J'ai aussi essayé avec la version ADE 3.0 même problème... Avez-vous une solution à ce problème ou connaissez-vous la cause de ce problème. 

Digital Editions 3.0.  Will I still have ebooks from earlier versions if I download 3.0?

I received a new laptop, but I am unable to authorise Adobe Digital Editions on my new laptop. I cannot remember the correct password and am unable to change the password. I followed the instructions to change the password, but there is no option to change my password on my profile. The passwords for my company have been "federated" a few years ago, and that might be the problem.  Can anybody assist?  

my cloud purchased books are no longer coming down to ade app on my mac ox ventura (latest updates to 10/24/24) i've gone through the obvious steps. what points of view can you all share with me to resolve this issue if you please? thanks

Wegen "Fehler beim Download/E_ACT_NOT_READY" wollte ich  die vorhandene Autorisierung meines neuen, aber mit den alten Inhalten beladenen MacBooks (Sonoma 14.6, M3) löschen bzw. entfernen. Das führte zur Meldung "Authorisierung kann nicht gelöscht werden. Versuchen Sie es später erneut." Später ging aber auch nichts. Das eigegebene Passwort  ist korrekt, ich konnte mich damit immer noch bei Adobe anmelden. Fand dort aber auch keinen Lösungshinweis.Am Vorgänger Mac lief noch ADE 2.0,  jetzt habe ich aber auf das aktuelle ADE 4.5.12.85 erhöht, weil 2.0 mit den heutigen Betriebssystemen von Apple  ein paar Fehler macht. Wie also komme ich jetzt zu einer Deauthorisierung?
