Digital Editions

I have scrolled through so many posts now, but I cannot seem to see any responses from Adobe anywhere. Is it just me, or is there really nobody from Adobe monitoring this forum?  Why have an 'Adobe Support Community' if nobody from Adobe is owning the platform?

I bought protected content that could only be viewed in ADE (adore digital Editions) On 2 PCs, I was able to view and sync the content On 2 Android phones, the content would not load.- I have it set to sync automatically, but that doesn't happen.- Then when I try to load manually with the acsm files, the app opens but nothing happens, no download or content. All four machines are authorized with the same account. Something seems seriously wrong with the ADE app on Android. Please help!

I have tried everything.  ADE will not download EPUB or ACSM files.  I have tried the free EPUB downloads from Adobe as well as lending from public library.  I have spent hours in support with Mac and Barnes and Noble.  ADE recognizes my Nook Glowlight Plus, however, every time I try to add a file to the library I get this message: E_ACT_NOT_READY  I have deleted and reinstalled ADE on computer as well.  ADE is authorized on all devices. I greatly appreciate any tips and suggestions.  Thanks! 

I have a folder with ebooks which are EPUB.  Since I use a new laptop, my ebooks don't open anymore in Adobe Digital Editions on my new laptop (on my old laptop the ebooks opened just fine in ADE).  What can I do?

Can someone please tell me how I can authorize a computer with ADE already installed anonymously when the "authorize this computer" option is grayed out and can't be selected? This is incredibly annoying to have to go through with a free app. I want to be able to read my books on both my computers. They belong to me after all. I also don't understand why they say if you don't authorize with ID that the books belong to the computer, not the ID. What happens when that computer dies? Can somebody from Adobe please explain/help. There doesn't seem to be any way anymore of contacting Adobe directly, though maybe I just haven't been able to find it. 

HiI have only one account and I am trying to oper an ebook that I have just bought, but it gives me the following error: "E-licence Already fulfilled by another user". What should I do to sort this out? Thanks

Hi there,  I bought a new SSD and installed W10 on that along with Adobe Digital editions. I tried to transfer my library of ebooks to my new Digital Editions folder but it gave me some errors regarding authorisation. I redownloaded all ASCM files from the original vendors but these also gave me errors regarding earlier authorisation.Now I recall I authorised all of them anonymously (though that was ages ago) so I tried to remove that anonymous authorisation from my old disk but without much luck. I had already deleted the digital editions programma on that disk along with most other programs.  Next I tried to mess with the registry in hopes that it would somehow de-authorise the anonymous authorisation on my old disk but to no avail. I contacted the original vendor and they informed me they are unable to provide a new acitivation code without buying it again.  So here I am feeling like I just lost my entire library because I moved the bookshelf two i

It has an open pop up window that says it's downloading a book and it will not progress on the download nor can I quit the program. I wanted to restart my mac and i cannot because of it. please help

For the past 6-8 weeks I have had little success in downloading books to my kobo glo. I download from the library and usually only 1 of 4 books will transfer to my kobo properly.  The error message receives is ...the document is protected by adobe DRM and is currently not authorized for use with your Adobe ID. Please sign in with the authorized ID..... why do some books download properly but not others? What is the fix?I have adobe 4.5 installed and computer is windows 10. Please help, this is so frustrating. thanks

I have been using text-to-speech to read a PDF of a book for class through Digital Editions. It worked just fine for the first forty-nine pages, but since I've hit page fifty it refuses to read any more. I've restarted the app, restarted my Macbook, and tried to use TTS on other sections of text, but no dice. Help!

I have been getting books from the open library and have had no problems until about four days ago. When I try go to  "Select a download format" to open an encrypted library pdf book. I posted a help request from the Open Library and they can connect and open the book with Digital Editions without any error. This means that the links are good (as I suspected). Ich kann seit einigen Wochen über die Onleihe geliehene ePubs zwar über meinen Windows 10 Computer auf den Tolino laden, aber von da aus nicht mehr auf dem Tolino öffnen. I installed Adobe Digital Editions and downloaded a library book to my KoboGlo but it says I can't read it because I am not authorized by Adobe Digital Editions. I have tried numerous times to figure out how I can become authorized but with no luck. Any suggestions?

I have been reading some of the older posts by community members but to no avail, I do not see an answer to my specific question.* I am converting all of my eBooks from Kindle and Google to ADE. I use these books as references to my wring and my Class Curriculum. My issue is trying to get ADE to convert to either a PDF ( a much lesser format than Epub) or directly to Word. I legally give credit to all authors for their work, and there is no piracy here.* Is there a legal way to convert my ebooks to a copy-paste version So I can reference them in my writings? 

Is it possible to have more than one ADE authorization so as to be able to switch back and forth between them on only one computer?If so, how does one go about this without de-authorizing and re-authorizing?

I installed ADE to my android device and when I want to authorize it after filling the needed data it reports E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEYI uninstalled the newest version of ADE and tried the older versions but the report was the same.Same input data when authorizing on my PC where authorization was o.k.Someone is with the tip how to authorize the android device? (Samsung S7 Edge). #android 

Hello all!Here's the situation, I've been doing some testing with ADE 4.5.6 (I'm a librarian and I sometimes help people check out library ebooks through the vendor OverDrive), and I'm running into a problem with the program.Whenever I reinstall ADE 4.5.6 the program retains data that had been associated with previous installations. It's still authorizing the program with the old Adobe ID, and I'm still seeing previous old undeletable CloudSync phantom files. Those are phantom ebooks that I had previously downloaded. (CloudSync is a completely different problem for us, but I digress...).Clearly not all of the files ADE references are getting deleted when I uninstall it.So my question is this: Is there a way to completely unilstall ADE and REinstall it as though it had never been on my computer before?

I have downloaded a e-bbok. But it's not opening in adobe digital edition. Some times its showing this license is uesed by other user & some time is shoing vendor account you entered is not associated with the Item you are trying to open.

Hola.Estaba maquetando un documento, y no sé porqué cada marco de texto, aparece ahora con un color azul Cian a la izquierda. Si abro otros  documentos no presentan lo mismo así que debe ser una opción que he movido es este documento especifico.Aquí hay una muestra, de cada marco de texto.Necesito su ayuda (Este color Cian desaparece en en previsualización, solo aparece en visualización normal). Hi,Several times when reading an e-book making highlights here and there the highlight function is disabled (grey in menu).I don't know why it stops working ... and I don't know how to turn it on. The same happens with copy text function.I use Adobe Digital Editions Version 4.5.10.186048 on PC/Windows 10.Anyone that can help on this ?BR /Sören

I purchased a text book in ebook form and the only program they allow to open it is Adobe Digital Editions. When I downloaded Digital Editions 4.5 the installation happened without a problem, but trying to actually open the program is impossible. Nothing even happens. So after research online and quite a few attempts to work around this problem or maybe download an older version, my last effort was to post to the forms. None of those options fixed my problem. Now after many installs and uninstalls I've turned to here. Two weeks into my semester and I haven't been able to read the book, I should've spent a little bit more and had the physical book mailed to me, figured this would've been easier and cheaper. Guess not...
