Digital Editions

For about the third random time, I can't read a library book on my Kobo - apparently because I 'previously deauthorized' it (I didn't).The annoying fixes I tried last time (deauthorizing everything, removing all the files, factory reset on the device, reinstalling ADE, reauthorizing etc) won't even work now, because the latest version of ADE simply does not work at all on my laptop - the application just does nothing when started. Any ideas? In despair. I just want to read a book.

My microsoft laptop was reset recently and I have lost the autofill for ADE.  When I try to type my email address,  I get a message that ADE is not responding.When I click on the URL download from Kobo it brings up the ADE screen but I get the same response. I also tried to continue without authorisation but ADE stopped responding.I uninstalled ADE and reinstalled it. Same problem. I contacted Microsoft who looked at the issue via QuickAssist and told me I needed to speak to Adobe.I have Windows 10 and cannot upgrade. I also have an old ACER that has just been reset with windows 10 and I get the same problem. Adobe support gave me this link. I have been trying for hours now and hope somebody might know how to solve this problem. 

I have downloaded ebooks before using Adobe Digital editions using my device Gobii ereader. However when I downloaded ebooks today, opening Adobe digital editions my device is not visable.

I tried to open with Adobe Deigital Editions an EPUB-file, which i downloaded from Google Play books. Now I get an Error message: "E_ADEPT_CORE_KEY_SCRAMBLE". Where is the problem. Earöier is ha workes perfectly. Also Files I have downloaded earlier are working okay.Any help appreciated.jorma

HiI want to deauthorize ADE 4.0.3.117585 because I cannot load any downloaded eBooks from my public library any more.BTW: I did install a new system harddisk some days ago and had to apply a 4 week old backup.Ctl-Shft-I pretends that the computer is authorized, although I cannot read any downloaded ebook.When I use the dialog initiated by Ctl-Shft-D and enter my password I get a message: “Could not delete athorization. Please try again later.” The password I use enables me to logon to the Adobe ID site. So I guess it is right. HELP needed!Hubert

Hallo zusammen, ich hatte heute eine Kundin in der Bücherei, die ihre eBooks zwar vom Online-Dienst direkt auf den eReader laden konnte, jedoch nicht vom PC über Digital Editions auf den Tolino. Die eBooks wurden zwar auf den eReader übertragen, ließen sich dann aber nicht öffnen. Auch das Cover erschien nicht, es wurde nur der Titel angezeigt. Als Fehlermeldung beim Öffnen erschien immer wieder: W_ADEPT_CORE_NO_LOAN_TOKENS_FOUNDWir haben alle möglichen Fehlerbehebungsmaßnahmen ausprobiert: Neustart, Adobe ID neu hinterlegen etc., aber leider hat nichts funktioniert. Könnt ihr mir weiterhelfen?

Apparently I should be able to print this science article I purchased and can only open within Digital Editions. The 'Print' button is greyed out. I need to print this ASAP. Please help.

Dear Adobe,Recently, my company published a new ebook using Digital editions. We hoped it would be a pleasant experience for our loyal readers, while also protecting our copyrights.  However, the Digital Editions installer has an added "bonus," by including the Norton antivirus program. My users are understandably upset about this and some have accidentally installed Norton by just clicking through the installer screens without noticing how to prevent it from being installed.  Please stop this! Hello, I have a fully functional Adobe ID. I also have a mac "Digital Editions app" which allows me to see and read DRM protected files (I see the list in the app). I'm now trying to authorize an app on Windows and when I enter the credentials I get an "incorrect login password for the selected ebook" error. This is obviously absurd because the credentials are correct and there is no file in the Adobe Digital Editions Windows app as it has only been installed now! Who can help me? Thank you  

mein e-Reader „Tolino Shine 5“ lässt sich nicht mit dem Digital Editions (Ver. 4.5.12.85) verbinden, um den Reader zu autorisieren. Er zeigt als Gerät immer Kobo an. Mein iMac (macOS 15.0.1) ist autorisiert. Bei meinem alten Sony Reader klappte alles. Was ist zu tun?

I have loaded ADE several times as well as ADE 2.0. It loads and opens a window. When I click on anything in the window (file, Library, etc.) the program crashes and I get an error message telling me that Windows has detected a problem and needs to close ADE. How do I resolve this. I am using Windows XP with all current updates installed.

Adobe Digital Editions immediately freezes up after I open it. Sometimes I can manage to load a book (acsm format) into it, but that's all. It doesn't fulfill and transfer to my ereader. It doesn't acknowledge the existence of my e-reader. ADE doesn't even let me close out of it. (I must use Task Manager to do that.) Possible solutions posted earlier in this forum include: 1) uninstall and reinstall ADE 2) deauthorize and reauthorize ADE 3) do each of those with each of the previous ADE versions 4) start ADE as an administrator 5) clear browser cache and all cookies, clean up hard drive, defragment, reboot. I believe I have done all of those in all possible orders and combinations. Nothing has worked. ADE is not usable on my computer and I can not use my ereader. Do you have any new potential solutions? I don't know of any way to convert acsm to epub other than ADE. Do you? Thank you. 

(Note: I'm not using an English version, so some of the menu items may have different names than what I assume they are...) In Adobe Digital Editions I was confused because when I selected a book and wanted to copy it to my ereader the "copy to computer/ereader" item under "file" didn't allow me to copy it. The ereader was greyed-out. However, in the Library overview using the right mouse button to get a pop-up, the same menu item did allow me to copy to the ereader. Why the difference? I've - finally, after a frustrating hour - found a way to do it, but why doesn't the for me intuitive way of navigating to the ebook and then selecting an action on it in the "file" menu not work?

I'm trying to help someone reauthorize Adobe Digital Editions.  The email with which she authorized her computer no longer exists.  How can she reset her information to use her new email?We tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program but it remembered her old info.  She has changed the email of her Adobe account but Digital Editions is still attached to the old email which no longer exists and whose password she's forgotten.Thank you in advance!

Hallo,ich habe ein Buch über Google Play gekauft (nicht geliehen). Wenn ich die epub.acsm Datei es über Adobe Digital Editions öffne, erscheint die Fehlermeldung: Download nicht möglich. Fehler beim Abrufen der Lizenz. Lizenzserver-Kommunikationsfehler: E_ADEPT_CORE_KEY_SCRAMBLE. Der Google Support hat mir bestätigt, dass es nicht an der Datei liegt, ich solle mich an Adobe wenden. Ich habe das gleiche am Iphone probiert. Dort bekomme ich die Meldung: Download nicht möglich. Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: File does not exist.  Das Buch wurde erst neulich gekauft. Aktuelle Digital Editions App Version 4.5.12.85.Danke...

Hi All, Digital editions has stopped working on my Microsoft surface running Windows 10 Pro. When you click on the icon nothing happens.  I have tried the following with no success:- Uninstalling and reinstaling 4.5.11- Installing 3.0 - Deactivating the computer through 3.0- Renaming / moving My Digital editions folders- Turning off McAfee Any ideas on what to try next. Finding it hard to chat to someone directly at Adobe on a weekend.Thanks.   

When I download an ebook and try to open it via ADE, I receive the error message: 'E_IO_CANNOT_OPEN' - 'error retrieving the license, communication problem with license server'Anyone knows how to fix this?

Good evening, when I open the program, the program freezes, I identify myself correctly with the username and password but it keeps thinking all the time.I have tried with windows 10 and currently windows 11.I have to close the program with control + alt +sup and close it with the task manager.Can anyone tell me how to fix it, I have the latest version installed.

I'm about to lose my mind. I'm studying a fairly niche subject and my only option is to use DE. I have it installed on both my PC and iPad. The highlighting and notes function are highly unpredictable, sometimes only working on some lines/words and sometimes they don't  work at all. Sometimes when I've exited to the library/restarted the program to try to fix it there are new highlights I never made in the list of highlights when I open the book again. The issues are more frequent on my iPad so I decided to switch back to my PC just now, but the version on my PC contain none of the highlights made on my iPad (I thought the books were synced across units if they're logged into the same account?) I have no idea what to do since the regular customer support don't deal with DE. Is there something I can do about the highlighting issue or is there a way to properly transfer my highlights and notes from one unit to another?
