Hi,Since I updated my MacBook Pro to Mos Mojave 10.14.5 I do have a problem downloading my ebooks to adobe digital edition 4.5. It states E_ACT_NOT_READY. I found in another forum that I need to deauthorize ADE. However, then I need to enter a password which I do not know anymore and is different from that of Adobe in general. I also fail to delete (the hidden) file of ADE regarding the authorization. What can I do??

I am trying to install Digital Editions onto my new laptop running Windows 10 PRO but when I try to authorize it it wont accept my id and/or password. I have been trying for hours and with the help of on-line technicians as well but I can't seem to get access to the books I had in my Library.I have tried everything I can think of including all my old passwords. When I finally rang another number I was given I was told I would have to pay $150 for help transferring my files. This sounded really outrageous - is this really Adobe saying this to me - or is it some kind of scam? Please help - I am really confused and don't know what to do next. I was trying to use Adobe Digital Editions for a class that I am taking. When I went to open the book, it says that "the original document is missing." What should I do?

A couple of weeks ago ADE stopped opening DRM-free epub3 books (all epub3 format. Epub2 still opened fine). Cf ADE 4.5.10 won't open ANY epub3 files on Windows 8.1  An ADE support tech told me to delete the Adept registry key and re-authorise. I did that, and epub3 DRM-free books now open fine again.HOWEVER, ever since I deleted the registry key the first time, EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to download a book WITH DRM, I get a "check authorisation" error and have to delete the registry key and re-authorise the pc (using the same account each time).This is getting seriously old, does anyone have a PERMANENT fix for this problem ??Using ADE 4.5.10 on windows 8.1.Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

I have not seen this particular problem here (though I may have missed it). If anyone - especially somone from Adobe or 3M cloudLibrary - knows how to deal with this, I am all eyes. Please bear with me while I recount the story.I bought a Kobo many years ago and installed ADE. Borrowed many books and read them successfully. The ADE upgraded and the autohorisation somehow stopped getting through to Kobo. The workaround that many suggested, and that works, is to downgrade ADE to version 3.0, which I did. All was well for a few years, until about a month ago. One of my libraries has a  QuickRead feature (borrow a book for a week) that requires cloudLibrary. I installed it, borrowed my first book, renewed it (it was 500 pages long, a bit much for a week) and read it. This was 2 weeks ago. Last week I borrowed a book and it would not open in Kobo (authorisation). Of course, as many noted, I could not deauthorise ADE, so I had to edit the registry, remove the appropriate entry, reinstal

HiI have an old Adobe-ID since many years. I registrated this Adobe-ID by buying an ebook reader. Many Ebooks are linked with this ID.I have now a new reader with a new app - bluefire. I should now deposit the Adobe-ID in the reader. But I can't: There is no such Adobe-ID known, says Adobe-Support.Quesitions:1 Can I renew this Adobe-ID? Unfortunately is no emailaccount linked with this ID, so that I can't receive an confirmation email.2  Can I create an new Adobe-ID (made already for registration in this forum) and transfer my ebooks to them?3 Possible to replace the emailadress for this account with the oldone (no mailbox!)4 Possible contact anyone from Adobe to clear all the several Adobe-Ids i've createdThank you for any help to solve my problemsKind regardsPeter

I want to replace a reading device, but cannot active the new one because of too many activated devices. After searching the internet, I could not find a place to open a support case, and did not get a response in the web chat. Please, Adobe, please reset my activations. Thanks!

HelloI have the following questions:Is it possible to save/back up bookmarks, notes and highlights in Adobe Digital editions? Is it possible to transfer/synch bookmarks, notes and highlights to another device? Is it possible to export bookmarks, notes and highlights and make them available in any other form? When i remove a book from my ADE an redownload it, i cannot acces my bookmarks, notes and highlights although the .annot file is still in place (C:Users\Username\Documents\My Digital Editions\Annotations). Is there any way to make this work?Altough registered in ADE, my ebooks are different on Win 10 and Android (bookmarks, notes and highlights are not shared).  ebook format: PDFADE version: 4.5.10.185749System: Win 10 and AndroidI have tried to find an answer on the internet an in these forums but there seem to be only old and mostly unanswered topics. Unable to download on Digital Editions.I am getting the error message: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USERI deauthorized and reauthorized both my tablet and computer with the same ID and password. Finally I changed my password but to no avail.The error message is still coming. Thank you for your help!

Hello,I am using Adobe Digital Editions (ver 4.5.1). Whenever an .acsm file is added to the library, the application constantly freezes upon freezing. After killing the process in Task Manager and re-opening, the application works normally until interacting with an .acsm file.Opening/interacting on .epub files work normally, the freezing only occurs with .acsm files.I attempted to use an older version of Adobe DE (3.0). Again .epub files functioned normally. But opening .acsm files produced an Activation Server error (code: E_ADEPT_INTERNAL).I'm not exactly sure what the error is referring to, or how to go about rectifying is. Any assistance that can be provided would be greatly appreciated

I cannot open book in ADE.  The title is grayed out. I have erased the authorization, uninstalled ADE, deleted .exe file, deleted ADEPT via REDEDIT, and emptied the recycle bin. Then I restart my computer. Download ADE software and authenticate.  I download a book from Overdrive.  Again, grayed out and can't open.  Any suggestions?

My public library switched to Cloud. I can choose available books and download in Epub format but they are not going into my Adobe Digital Editions. I need this to happen so I can changes the format to Mobi for my kindle reader. My library was using Libby and that worked but now with cloud not happening. I can read these books on the  computer I used to access them but need to get them to ADE.

I try to activate my ereader but there is constantly a error but not with a errorcodeI tried to deactivate and to remove the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept but always the same problem.My other ereader was activated on an other computer. Can this cause the problem. And the main question then how can I fix itThank you for your help

Ich habe eine 66 MB große PDF vom Springer-Verlag heruntergeladen. Das Kopieren nach Adobe Digital Edition klappt. Aber die Datei kann nicht gelesen werden. Darüber hinaus können auch alle anderen Dateien in der Edition nicht mehr gelesen werden. Entferne ich die PDF aus der Edition, funktioniert alles wie gehabt. Hat jemand Erfahrung, ob die Datei ggf. zu groß ist?

I have been testing out enhanced epubs on the Adobe Digital Edition platforms for Android and Windows and have come across some errors.Firstly, the books:- contain audio features activated by buttons- contain hidden features becoming visible when a button is clicked- contain buttons that navigate through the book- work perfectly on iBooks and are available on there for saleNow the errors...ADE Windows:- Does not read font type- Freezes midway through reading a book- Sometimes stalls or crashes completely- Doesn't always activate the audio from a click (generally after a stall)ADE Android:- Recognises the font YAY!- distorts, corrupts or hides some of the images- doesn't activate some of the audio when clicked- when I click on a button the book title and navigation bar also pop up which can obstruct the text and use of the book in landscape modeI guess what I am asking is why is iBooks getting this right and you aren't? Hello, I need to view an ebook in Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) on my Samsung tablet. But, after downloading the app it doesn't show up in my library; not even when I authorized it.Issue 2: To authorize it I had to create a brand new account as ADE wouldn't allow me to use my original account.

If I am away from my normal computer, is there a way of logging into Adobe Digital Editions in a web browser and viewing my documents instead of having to download and install the software? Or is there a way to increase the number of computers you can authorise?

I have downloaded ADE to my computer and authorized my computer. I then downloaded an ebook from my library. When I open ADE the book is there but my kindle fire doesn't show up under devices. How do I get this to show up so I can drag and drop the ebook? I am connected to the computer using usb port.

After upgrading to 4.5 and authorizing my computer, I cannot view or transfer to my Nook an epub file ebook. It won't open in my ADE library even though I've downloaded it and my ADE is authorized.When I open ADE, it also does not show any of the default bookshelves, such as Borrowed, Recently Read, Recently Added, etc. It also seems to freeze up and instead of opening a book I've tried to download, it closes ADE and opens up my File Explorer instead.I do have a lot of books in My Digital Editions folder. Should I delete those? Could the old books be causing the problem?Does browser matter? I'm using Edge.
