Digital Editions

I have downloaded ADE to my computer and authorized my computer. I then downloaded an ebook from my library. When I open ADE the book is there but my kindle fire doesn't show up under devices. How do I get this to show up so I can drag and drop the ebook? I am connected to the computer using usb port.

After upgrading to 4.5 and authorizing my computer, I cannot view or transfer to my Nook an epub file ebook. It won't open in my ADE library even though I've downloaded it and my ADE is authorized.When I open ADE, it also does not show any of the default bookshelves, such as Borrowed, Recently Read, Recently Added, etc. It also seems to freeze up and instead of opening a book I've tried to download, it closes ADE and opens up my File Explorer instead.I do have a lot of books in My Digital Editions folder. Should I delete those? Could the old books be causing the problem?Does browser matter? I'm using Edge.

I use digital editins on my laptop to organize my e-books and the download e-books to my e-reader.i downloaded the app of digital editions to my iphone this morning.but i just see a few titels on my iphone-app.and when i open the e-book, i see ""W_ADEPT_CORE_EXPIRED".the time and timezone of my laptop, e-reader and iphone are the same.what should i do to synchronise digital editions on my laptop and on my iphone?

I suddenly I can no longer download ebooks to my digital editions product.Worked fine until 2 weeks ago.Made no changes to my computer/version of Adobe.Getting following error message :

Hello i want to use adobe digital editions, i install the program and at first it works.a few days later the program doesnt work version (2.0 or also 3.0).when i start the program, i window open with the messages:"adobe digital editions 2.0 (or 3.0) dont longer work.the program doesnt work because a problem. the program has been closed. you will be informed,when a solution is found."I deinstall and install the program (version 2.0 and also 3.0) a lot of times, but it doesnt help.i get always the same info.I hope someone can help me, because so i cant use download ebooks.(sorry for my very bad english 🙂ke1958

Dear alli am quite new to digital editions – and I made a mistake. At my work I have an Adobe ID, so I downloaded for my private use a book and opened it on the business laptop. Now the book is linked to my business account, and I dont know how I can change it to my personal one. Is there a workaround? I already reached out to the adobe support, however, as digital edition is a free-ware they don't offer support in any direction. The advise was to go into the forum.Thank you for your help in advanceGesine

Hello, I have digital addition 4.5.10 installed on iconia acer android tablet for a few month now.  Was working all right so far.Suddenly, it  stopped function properly.  Currently it has 2 serious issues: 1.  new book (downloaded on pc and transferred to android) is not in the library anymore.  when android tablet  is connected to pc, I could see: they are there.  but they disappear when I open ade on tablet. or 2. if I downloaded more than 1 book, digital edition doesn't open at all.  after I delete new additions, ade opens again.  How to fix that? I recently acquired a NOOK simpletouch which uses Android 2.1.  In order to open library books on the Nook I need to install Adobe Digital Editions 3.0 or older on my Windows 10 machine.  Does anybody have a copy, and will it work?

Adobe Digital Editions is internally  conflicted... I'm supposed to be able to authorize adobe digital editions so that I can see the same DRM managed content on different computers... yet I can only authorize one computer??  this makes no sense at all!!

I have my digital editions library open and whenever I try to download the ebook or drag the url into the library it says:Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_ACT_NOT_READYI have tried many different browsers and it still is not working. What should I do next to troubleshoot this problem?

I have changed the e-mail associated with my Adobe ID on my account on the Adobe website. I now need to effect the same change on the Desktop app. I tried to do this using the dropdown Help menu, which brought up a window asking me to authorise the change using the old e-mail address. This didn't work, and it did not allow me to change the e-mail address to the new one. How can I proceed?

Every time I try to open a PDF book, old or new, on my computer it is now forcing me to download with Digital Editions.  Is there a way to just open the book without it?

I do habe a new computer and did install ADE. I can open the Programm but it only runs for a few seconds. After this it is hanging up. Giving me the Message "no Response". I have to stop the program. I can not download larger books, can not read books, cannot organize books. I already did de- and reinstall. Did not help. Any idea? TX.Ich habe einen neuen Computer und habe darauf ADE installiert. cannot open ebook on digital editions....it starts processing but then get message not responding.....it fails afterwards. what can be done?
