Digital Editions

Hi, I am using ADE to manage EPUB book purchases and transfers to my Sony reader.I have not had the reader long and so far I have purchased just 2 books.When I created my Adobe ID for ADE I used a hotmail email address as the account name, whichwith hindsight may not have been such a good idea.I would like to change my Adobe ID email address to a more permanent one. If I do this willit mean I will no longer be able to read the protected books? Is there any way around this?Thanks.

I have been trying to open Ebooks from my library through Digital Editions, in the past it always worked, but stopped working recently.  I have updated to edition 4.5 but still will not work.  The .acsm file appears to try and open in Adobe Reader, so gets stuck and is unable to open in Digital Editions so I can download to my reader.Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Hallo zusammenhabe brav alles nach Anleitung gemacht, ein Buch in der Onleihe ausgeliehen, Adobe Digitals instaliert und eine ID bekommen....Buch runtergeladen....auf meinen ereader verschoben....und genau ab da hakt es.....mein Ereader wird nicht mehr am PC angezeigt und er lässt sich nicht mehr starten. Er flackert nur zwei, dreimal hell auf....das war esvorher hat er einwandfrei funktioniert, muss also im kausalen Zusammenhang zu dem Versuch stehen..... wie schaffe ich es, dass das Teil wieder funktioniert?

Kan jag på något sätt föra över filer (köpta e-böcker) mellan biblioteken i två datorer?

Habe ebooks mit acsm-endung in den ADE geladen.Wenn ich diese dann wieder aus dem ADE lösche, werden die immer wieder hochgeladen!!!!Habe die auch überall im ordner "my digital editions" gelöscht.Wo werden die noch abgelegt, dass sie immer wieder hochgeladen werden??bitte um hilfe.Gruss Heinz

I recently had a sudden shutdown on Windows 10 and ever since my ADE hasn't been able to launch. It opens in the background (i.e. I can see it in background apps in the task manager) but it's basically useless. I tried installing/uninstalling but it doesn't work.1. Anyone who faced a similar issues, were there any solutions ?2. Given ADE only allows 6 authorised devices, if this device (unless I reimage my laptop) will be unable to run ADE again, is there a way I can de-authorize this device without actually being able to open the ADE app on this device ?

The font size will not increase with some books that I download from the library onto my iPad. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi there, I Can download an e-book to the ADE, but after I connect my e-reader (kobo) and drag the e-book in question, appears a window saying CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED.Can someone help me to solve the problem?

Where is the download for ADE 2.0 for windows?  The download page does not have it anymore.

I downloaded a textbook for one of my college classes through Adobe Digital Editions. I have been able to read the textbook since the first day I bought it (January 15). However, I discovered today that I am no longer authorized to read it. Previously, I chose to authorize my computer without an Adobe ID. When I attempted to read the textbook, it said I needed to use the Adobe ID associated with the textbook. I have tried using my current Adobe ID as well as previous ones. I have not changed anything on my computer. I'm assuming because I did not previously use an Adobe ID to authorize my computer that that is why I cannot use it now to open the textbook.Has anyone else had this issue after choosing to authorize without an Adobe ID?

EPUB passes latest EPUB-Checker, but won't open in latest ADE.I have run the debugger in Calibre, and I have run it through EPUB-Checker - all latest versions of each.I have tried to open several EPubs that I know are good and have opened in ADE before, and they won't open.It just spins and in the title bar it says (Not Responding)Second issue - I can't authorize ADE - same as another poster a few hours ago.

Hi. I'm using Windows 7 and Adobe Digital Editions 4.0.2. Every time I try to authorize my computer with my Adobe-ID (which is working properly since I can log in to my Adobe account without any trouble) it says "connection error: digital editions could not connect to the activation server. Please check that you are connected to the internet." although my internet connection is working properly.I tried deinstalling and reinstalling ADE, I deactivated my firewall, I've tried to download ADE via Internet Explorer (I'm usually using Firefox) with all the settings recommended here: http://tohellmylovewithyou.wordpress.com/2010/08/05/ade/ , and deleting the authorization is not possible and thus does not work either.None of these things has helped and I haven't found any other recommendations in forums or elswhere.Could someone help me solve this problem?Thanks a lot!

We recently had an IT upgrade in which all our computers were replaced. Our limit of 6 PCs was tied to the old machines and so might need resetting. We have downloaded the book again but Adobe Digital Editions crashes every time we try to open the title.Please could someone sort?

When I download an Ebook via Overdrive, I get an "Error! Check Activation" pop up. Then when I try to Erase Authorization on the Adobe Digital Editions program, I get another error that states "unable to erase authorization. please try after some time." How do I go about cleaning this all up so I can download ebooks again?

When a pdf is opened in this software sometimes the print size is too small. I am wondering when I enlarge it I would like to keep a copy of the book in that size print. There are two options of how to put it into one's library. Will it keep the book in the size you enlarge the print to or is there another way I can enlarge the print and save that book in the enlarged print size?  The reason I ask is I would like to transfer the book in this format to my Barnes and Noble Nook because once a pdf book is put onto the nook library the format can not be enlarged.  Thanks for any help.

Am unable to download eBooks through Adobe Digital Editions on Windows 10.  Error message says Check Authorization.  ADE says computer is authorized.  When trying to erase authorization get the message "Unable to erase authorization".Have read many posts on this subject in the forum, none of the suggestions helped.  The email address in ADE was old, so I changed it in Adobe ID, still no luck.  Tried removing the Adobe Adept key in the registry, uninstalled the software, and rebooted the PC.  Rechecked the registry and the key was gone.  Reinstalled the software and the key came back and still can't erase the authorization. How do I erase authorization considering what I've already tried?Does ADE use Adobe ID for credentials?  Why does the email address not update?Thank you

when i open adobe digital editions the library is blank, but any books i try to add to library error message says item already exists in library. any idea how to make library visible

I changed my PC and I can't authorise my new PC for Adobe Digital Editions with my Adobe ID. Does somebody can help me ?

I have purchased eBooks from Kalahari and then Takealot over the last 6 or 7 years. During that time I have moved from iPad to iPad and Mac to Mac, deauthorizing and then reauthorising, always using the same ID. All of a sudden on my last iPAD, when I tried to get these books again, I wasnt able to. I kept receiving either "token not available" or a "Fulfillment error 0". On checking, they told me to download to Digital editions. I did this but then received the ""E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER" error. According to Takealot, this is my problem as they will not reset anything to allow me to access these eBooks. Their reasoning is that I only borrowed them and I only borrowed them for the original devices so I should expect to have them on my new devices. For me to get these books, I would need to buy them all over again! A couple of books have downloaded perfectly, and those are mostly the more recent ones - which were probably purchased on a later device. Is anyone able to ass

I have tried downloading version 3 and version 4. but it does not let me choose the digital editions to use with my kobo - if I dont get an answer soon i will use itunes and use my ipad

I have created a 1000 word short story that features a single Adobe Stock image I paid to license. Can I convert my short story into an eBook for sale on Apple and Amazon without having to pay royalties for the photo/image originally used in my original short story? I downloaded Adobe Digital 2.0 for my Mac and when I open the installer it asks for my password, when I put in my correct password it doesn't accept it. I have tried my Apple ID as well as changed my adobe password and tried that (in case I was entering it incorrectly). Nothing is working. I do not have any type of serial number to enter.. and cannot move any further with the install unless I get this figured out. Any ideas?
