Digital Editions

I would like to use a few triangles or arrow symbols in an ebook I am creating. But most that I try do not display when reading the ebook in adobe digital editions.I've tried different fonts. Using monospace displays a couple that don't show otherwise.Does anyone have any font / css tips or know of a list of such symbols that do display in Digital Editions?

I have set my Default Program file association for ADE files to open in ADE3 which I downloaded from Ebooks.com.  When I try to download the book file it attempts to open in Kindle and not ADE.  Any suggestions?

I have a library on my desktop. I installed adobe digital editions and authorized it on my new acer chromebook, but the library doesn't fill.Does it work on chromebook? And if so, how can I retrieve my books?

I bought the BOMA e-book 2017 for Office Buildings.  I downloaded the Adobe Digital Edition 4.5.  I have the Book in my Library, but it will not open and the ADEindicates “Not Responding”. 

I purchased an ebook almost a year ago.  I have access to the book on a desk top as well as a lap top.  I have the icon on my task bar.  Last night I went to access and I just had a swirl but it would not open. I tried to uninstall the software and reinstalled but still unable to open.

I had ADE 4.5 loaded on my WIN 10 PC. Today it would not open. I removed it and attempted to install from Adobe online site. It appears to have loaded but will not open. I then loaded ADE 4.0 successfully. This is the first problem,This is the resulting second problem: I then loaded onto ADE 4.0 my converted Kindle Epub books. Upon trying to read them on ADE 4.0 I get the message: "The ebook has decrypted the TXT file just save 20% of ebook context. Please register the software...….." I never had this problem previously. All my converted Kindle ebooks would load properly. Please advise how to solve the upgrade to version 4.5 and the solve the 20% context saved.Thanks.

I have a .ascm book uploaded to DE 4.5 and am trying to read it. There are 2 arrows in the menu bar of the app which are greyed out and I assume these move from page to page. Scrolling works but is amazingly slow and utterly unsatisfactory. Under the Reading Menu is Next and Previous which sort of work but one has to use the mouse to do so. Unless I'm missing something, this is an unbelievably bad application. How does one navigate through a book?

Hi,I have borrowed a book from a library.When ADE fulfills it, it shows 7 copies of it instead of one,so I guess something is conflicting.I can read the book on the pc, but when I copy it to my Kobo e-reader I can't open it.I have borrowed two other books previously from the same library which worked perfectly.Does somebody know what the problem could be?Thank you,Dimitris

Well, I have a great problem...1. I have a new computer - Mac Book Pro and now have the following problems accessing Adobe Digital Edition2. My ADE is authorized to my old email address, I do NOT have access to it and forgotten the password3. I cannot authorize my NEW adobe ID as the option in ADE is shaded outI tried a chat with customer service, apparently they are not IT trained. I did try the following1. de-authorize old account - cannot as password not working2. deleted and re-installed ADE, not working stays with old account3. authorize computer with new details - not working as option is not enabled.So any clever ideas?

Hi,I downloaded Mojave on my Macbook a couple of days ago, and since then I have issues with ADE. When I download a book I can read it with ADE on my computer, I can transfer it on my Kobo reader and everything seems fine, but when I want to open it on my Kobo, I get a message saying that the book is protected by DRM, that my Kobo is no more authorized (which is wrong, it is authorized) and that I should try again to download it with  ADE. I tried that several times. I canceled the authorization and authorized it again with my Adobe ID. I downloaded ADE latest version, but nothing works. Any idea?Thanks,Karine

I just installed Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 and tried to authorize my device. After entering Adobe-ID and Password I always get the information: 'Adobe-ID/Password' wrong. Try again! But both is absolutely correct and my Adobe-ID, which I created before,  is already confirmed by Adobe. What's going wrong?

I want to use ADE to transfer a book from the library to my Nook. I downloaded ADE and am trying to authorize the product on my computer. It asked for my adobe ID and password which I entered. An error message appears saying that one or the other is incorrect. They are both correct. In fact, I can sign on the the general adobe site using the same ID and password. ?????? How can I resolve?

I borrowed an e-book from my library and successfully installed it on ADE.  When I connect my Nook, it will initially show on ADE as connected, and then ADE will abruptly "disappear" as if closed.  When I try to reopen ADE, there is nothing showing in my library.  I've uninstalled and re-installed ADE, and tried to deauthorize but it simply tells me that my computer is already authorized and I don't see an option to deauthorize.  The problem seems to be the Nook connection tho - I could read and open the book in ADE on my computer (at least, I could before I connected the Nook, after which everything in ADE just disappears).  Windows Explorer tells me that the book is on my Nook, but the Nook itself does not seem to have it.  I have had no problems in the past downloading library books.  Thanks for any suggestions.

I have bought these books years ago and been able to read them. They cannot be opened as they have become data protected. How can i open them

im trying to erase computer authorization but it asks for vendor login iD and password. It shows authorized user as myid@gmail.com|eReatah. I have no idea about the vendor. Any help?

Bonjour,Je ne parviens pas à lire d'ebook sur ma liseuse. A chaque fois que je copie l' eBook sur ma liseuse Kobo avec ADE, la couverture est noire et je n'ai pas le droit d'ouvrir, le message est :  Ce livre est protégé par Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM). Ayant bloqué l'accès au livre, vous devez renouveler l'accès au livre et l'importer à nouveau en utilisant ADE. Ce que j'ai fait. J'ai fait toutes les démarches pour réparer le compte de la liseuse, reconfigurer, enlever et remettre l'autorisation pour l'ordinateur et le périphérique. Je ne sais plus quoi faire pour avoir accès aux livres que l'emprunte. Avez-vous une solution?Merci

I have successfully authorized, but I cannot download the book.  It gives me the following message:  Unable to download.  Error getting licence. Licence server communication problem. E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED.  I have already de-authorized then re-authorized after re-installing the Adobe Editions Software again. 

Via ADE wil ik boeken downloaden op onze e-readers. De boeken moeten komen van Onlinebibliotheek.nl. Inmiddels is het mij gelukt om beide e-readers aan ADE te koppelen en tevens te autoriseren. Zowel het Adobe account, als beide autorisaties laten ons huidig e-mailadres zien.Het vreemde is dat de laptop zelf stelt dat de autorisatie van deze computer zelf gekoppeld is aan een oud e-mailadres. Weet iemand hoe ik mijn computer/laptop kan autoriseren met mijn nieuw e-mailadres?Hub Janssen, Reuver

After downloading the EPUB of the 3 ebooks that I purchased in the Google Play Store, the ACSM-files don't open in ADOBE DIGITAL EDITIONS because "Communication problem with license-server : E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_TOO_SHORT :".Deleting the Adept key in the Registry Editor and reauthorizing ADE didn't solve the solution for me.Waiting for an answer by Adobe.
