I have purchased and ebook and trying to open but keep getting the above connection error.

I just download the app in my iPhone, even login the adobe ID but cannot read any file. It keeps asking the Deauthorize , what can I do?

I have a new Dell Laptop that has windows 10, I have tried adobe 3.0 & 4.5 and only a partial of books that I own appear in my library. I have erased the authorization, restarted the laptop. I uninstalled and reinstalled adobe editions tried both 3.0 & 4.5 with the same results. Has anyone else experienced this or have a solution to rectify this issue?

I have tried downloading and uninstalling several times. I have tried to deactivate authorization and it says try later. I am on a MacBook running 10.13.6. I have tried going to ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions/  and there is no such file in order to delete the activation.dat file. I have tried the 3.0 version as well. I am not sure what to do next.  Can anyone offer some insight?

I recently purchased a new Nook. When I try to open my library downloads, I am prompted to enter my Adobe ID and password...which doesn’t work. I never had to follow this step in the past. I have the latest version of Adobe and I have authorized my computer and device. My passwords are synced with Overdrive. I am completely stumped. So is my librarian. Any thoughts or help?

Je ne comprends pas pourquoi ! Deuxième problème, j'ai 2 ordinateur, un MAC et Windows, je n'arrive pas à les synchroniser. Votre aide serait appréciable ! Merci !

I have a number of books that have no digital rights restriction but when I try to open them ADE hangs.I found a comment about renaming the library folder and starting again, but that has had no effect.One of the books is Pro Git by Scott Chacon. I have tried re-downloading it repeatedly, the page is https://git-scm.com/book/en/v2  but have not been able to open it in ADE.I can open it just fine in Microsoft Edge, but do not consider that a solution.I have tried with installations of ADE on Windows 7 and Windows 10. On Windows 10 ADE stops responding. On Windows 7, latest install, I do eventually get an error message that there is an issue with the file, previously that also stopped responding.I get the same problems with a number of other technical documents.I have also tried to read the same document using ADE 2, and it worked perfectly.Message was edited by: Dave Bolt, added missing information.

I can't delete the Adobe Digital editions computer authoriisation.I am trying to read an Ebook using ADE - the bookstore Booktopia is unable to help because their instructions require me to first erase the computer authorisation. I cant do this because I get an error message saying my password is incorrect. I have been referred to this forum by Adobe Support. I have reset my password in both Booktopia and Adobe, and I still cant erase the computer authorisation.Please help.With thanks

Hi, I am trying to download - Download Getting Started with Adobe Digital Editions (EPUB, 64 KB) under your Adobe digital editions but it doesn't open - it says the page cannot be found. Help - just downloaded 4.0.3.110333 and connect Nook Simple Touch and get "unexpected error - unexpected error occurs:  E_IO_CANNOT_OPEN"

Our domain prohibits the download and installation of software while logged in as a general user. We signed in a domain administrator, installed Adobe Digital Editions 4.5, and followed the URL to install the DRM locked PDF. The computer was authorized without an ID at first. When we logged in as the user, on the same exact computer, that user did not have access to the PDF. We logged back in as the administrator and signed in using the Adobe ID, which seemed to function well. When logged in as the user on the computer, however, we are unable to sign in using his Adobe ID credentials, saying that Adobe can not authorize on more than one computer (even though this is all being done on one machine). Our goal: to have the general user able to open DRM locked files using Adobe Digital Editions while logged in as themselves. The file is over 3 thousand pages, so printing/screen grabbing and rescanning simply isnt an option.

Everything is fine so far, the eBook is loaded and displayed, but the text is not readable because the lines are so close that they overlap. This is definitely an error. The whole thing happened 1.5 years ago and I always waited for the update of the app digital editions, but it never comes, resp. the problem remains. On the Windows PC the eBook is displayed correctly, so there is no error with the eBook. The publisher does not want to exchange the eBook for a printed version. Hi, I downloaded an e-text from Cognella which required me to download adobe digital edition onto my laptop. The book and adobe worked for about a week. I was in the middle of taking a quiz with the book and my computer began to update. After the update on my laptop, I could no longer open the adobe digital edition app or my e-text. I opened the documents in my IPhone using my personal Adobe account after installing BlueFire reader . When I am at work I couldn't download the document using my Adobe work account.I want to transfer the license of these documents from my personal account to my work account or any other work account.

I've downloaded the app on my ipad and signed in the authorize my account, although my library is not showing up.  Am I missing a step or something somewhere? It seems it should be seamless.  thanks

Suddenly I am getting the subject error and can not download books from my local library.  I was working win ADE 4 under Win 10 then I reverted to ADE 3.Computer time and date are accurate.How can I fix this?ThxPreston
