Digital Editions

Hi, I'm a new reader of "www1.onleihe.de". Wenn I ran the ADE-App on my phone (Samsung Note 2) I had to enter a Adobe ID. I didn't think about the fact that I might use this ID when I want to read my books on my laptop or pc. So I forgot all about the ADE-ID. How can I recover my old ID or establish a new ID with my existing email adress and password???? Please help!

I created an Adobe ID, but within the Digital Editions App on my computer,I cannot authorise my computer . The code shown is E_Auth_not_ready and it says "Aktivierungsserver-Fehler" (Activation server error). What can I do?

I prefer to buy my books for my study in digital editions. Therefore I downloaded ADE because it claimed to be the best to read AND make notes at the same time. It also seems to be the only program that supports a png-file.  But it has become SO slow - and constantly crashing. Does anyone have any advice? I have tried to reinstall the program several times and even downloaded an older version without any luck. Are there any alternative programs? I can't seem to find anyone. I have a Macbook Air, by the way. Thank you in advance. Maria

I can't change page at my current book. It says (Cover 1/817) but i can't find where i turn to the next page. If i write for example 2 it says "There is no page 2", even though it says at the bottom there's 817 pages.

Just purchased a bunch of technical books, but every time I print a page, the bottom few rows of text (up to 1/5 of the page) gets cropped off.  This makes it impossible to print out important charts and tables I need.  Anyone experienced this same problem and have a solution?Thanks.

I am running Digital Edition on several of my computers with shared content.  One of those is a Dell with an I-3 processor.  All computers are at the same level of Windows 10.  I upgraded my Dell laptop from 4GB memory to 8GB and swapped out the hard drive in favor of an SSD drive.  Using Acronis, I cloned the hard drive back onto the SSD drive.  Everything went as planned except for the problem that I'm have with Digital Edition.  For some reason, when I go to open a document that I own on this laptop computer, I'm getting an error saying that it is owned by another account.  I've deleted the content on the local laptop.  I've de-registered the computer and re-registered it. Nothing seems to get me back to my owned content.  What am I overlooking?  Any ideas why I'm having this problem?

I recently purchased an ebook version of a textbook. I downloaded the ebook and it opened Adobe Digital Editions. The sign in pop-up asked for the ebook Vendor (I chose Adobe ID), my Adobe ID, and my password. When I clicked Authorize, another pop-up came up reading "Digital Editions encounter an error on the activation server." How can I fix this so I can read my textbook?

I downloaded Adobe Digital Editions today. For about seven hours I've been studying a book. I have used the highlighter and bookmarks.Then, suddenly, Adobe Digital Editions won't let me scroll and just keeps on loading. Then it shuts down, and all of my notes, highlights etc. are gone. Can anyone tell me how I get them back?

I bought a book and was reading it on my iPad.I now need to study the book on my MacBook for an exam.I have downloaded the ADE app and authorised my computer.How do I get the book onto the computer version of ADE?thanks for help

I recently bought a new computer, installed ADE and authorized it with my Adobe ID. But my display is not showing any bookshelves, freezes upon loading and if I am lucky enough to make it to this step, it freezes while transferring files to my Nook. So far, I have uninstalled/reinstalled, erased the authorization and even changed the compatibility mode, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

When I try to open an e-book that I bought, the programs gives me this message:"Unable to download.Error getting Licens. Licens Server Communication Problem. E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER"I dont understand why I cant open my file. I just bouth the e-book, it has never been open before, and i have a authorized my pc. Any advice?

My old computer died rather suddenly, and I didn't have a chance to back everything up before it stopped working. It was an older laptop, and the battery lost all it's power so it refused to turn on anymore. I still have the hard drive and it seemed to be ok, but for some reason when I went through all the files and tried to open Adobe digital editions, all my books were missing. I thought authorizing my computer would work but still nothing, the only thing in my library is the getting started guide. I think I have most of them on a usb drive, but I know there's a few that I didn't have on there and I would like them back. Anybody have any ideas on how to get them back? I tried searching one of the book files on the whole computer and its not showing up at all.

I have two library cards, one uses OverDrive and ADE and the other Cloud Library. When I downloaded ADE, it automatically authorized with the Cloud Library credentials. Now I cannot download my ebooks from OverDrive using an Overdrive account or Adobe ID to authorize the computer because it associated the OverDrive ebooks with the Cloud Library account. The error message is that it was fulfilled by another user. When authorized with my Cloud Library account I cannot transfer the ebooks to my ereader. Please let me know how to change this so I can read library books on my ereader.

I have used Adobe Digital Editions for years without a problem.  I started having difficulty with it when I switched to a computer running Windows 10.  Now I get an activation error when I download an EPUB  ebook.  Following a suggestion on the Adobe website, I tried to de-authorize and then re-authorize the computer.  The de-authorization worked, but when I tried to auyhorize the computer again, the option was grayed out and I could not.  I then uninstalled and reinstalled ADE,then tried the authorization again.  It was still grayed out.  Any suggestions?

I can see and read the book I bought in ADE at my laptop. I also see the Kobo eReader in the left side of ADE. I try to pull the book to the ereader and get the message: CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWEDI tried to authorize the eREader, but can't open the link.What can I do to read the book also on the eReader, nut just at the laptop?Thank you for your help!

I purchased an ebook about 2 weeks ago and it is accessed through Digital Editions. The program has worked fine since, until a few days ago. I tried to open the program and it loads then doesn't open. I've tried to open it numerous times with no luck. My computer did do an automatic update a few days ago so that may be a factor. However, I paid a good amount of money for this book and need to access it now for class. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program about 5 times with no luck.

I feel like a 63 year old idiot when it comes to anything electronic but I'm trying very hard to download ebooks to my computer by myself.  My public library uses Axis360 which is part of the eRead Illinois Program. I installed Adobe Digital Editions 4.0 per library instructions. When I try to download an ebook I receive the message "Adobe Reader could not open 'URLink (7).asm' because is is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged." I'm using Windows 7. Do I need to uninstall Adobe Reader XI in order for my computer to open the ebook with Adobe Digital Editions? I'd greatly appreciate any help with this

Hi, I am trying to log in to my account on Adobe Digital Editions and I keep getting the E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS error. I contacted support through the chat service but they were unable to help me and asked me to contact you here in the forums. How can my activation count be reset please?

I was able to download the installer but I haven't been able to open the dmg file to actually install the app.

Hey I can't download and open a book in Ibooks from ADE, I really need help. It says that the book has an error.

I've bought 2 books on Google Books and dowload them as epub files and next read them at my PC with Adobe Digital Editions. I'd like to download and read them also on my PocketBook Touch Lux 2. The device is already authorized, but when I want to read both of them there are only one blank page. On my PB there is only cover visited and nothing else.I've try to download one of this books as pdf to my PB and it's okey. But what about epub files? Second book has only that format of file and I've wanted to read it on my e-book reader, not on PC.
