Hello Everyone,I have bought an e-book from a Brazilian vendor (Saraiva) and downloaded the acsm file from its online page.After that, I installed Adobe Digital Essentials (Windows 10) and opened the acms file in order to convert to an epub format so I could read it on the Saraiva device (it is called Lev and has ADE support - SaraivaReader ).But, as soon as I started ADE, it asked me to login to my adobe account. So, I inserted my Adobe ID and password and then dropped the acsm file into the ADE.Unfortunately, since I have logged in with my Adobe ID, the acsm file as well as the epub were automatically licensed to it as you can see in the image below: Now, I can't find a way to license it to my Saraiva account in order to read the e-book in the device. It is very frustrating and annoying. And even if I deauthorized the computer and try to authorize with the Saraiva account, the ADE doesn't allow me to open the acms file on the computer.Would you guys please tell me a solution for this

I am having trouble being able to open a ebook downloaded I think as a unauthorised copy. I want to link this to an account but assume this is impossible now... the book cost money and now I am unable to use it with the flexibility I need. Very frustrating.Is there anyone that can help solve this ... ?

A few days ago, the process wherein one clicks on an .ascm file when then fulfills with an .epub file has quit working.  Digital Editions (4.5.7.181275) launches, but that's it.  Nothing comes up; there is no "fulfillment," nothing is spinning - it does not appear to be hung, but it never fulfills the request.  I have reinstalled, tried a 2nd book, but nothing gets fulfilled.  Prior to this happening, I was having problems with returned (library) books re-appearing (although they were not actually on the PC) and I would "delete" them.  But I could still download new ASCM books from the Library and double-click/fulfill them using Digital Editions.  But like I said, a few days ago, that quit working.  Not sure if it is some new Microsoft Upgrade (like they destroyed my ability to use Adobe Reader by forcing all PDF's to go to "Edge") or just some glitch in Digital Editions itself.  Is there a work-around for this, or perhaps an older Digital Editio

Adobe Digital Editions rarely functions well in Windows 10. It is constantly freezing and crashing.Is it possible that there is something on my computer systems that is causing this or is this really just terrible software with a monopoly so no desire for Adobe to improve? I've used it on 3 different Windows 10 machines with the same problems (1 older desktop, 1 brand new super fast gaming desktop, 1 brand new mid-range laptop). The only common element between the 3 Windows 10 system that I use is Norton (paid, not the bloatware that comes with Digital Editions). Could this be the problem?I would be embarrassed to be a commercial entity that published a piece of software like this if these problems are widespread.Thank you.

An old email address has populated into the authentication and is asking for a password when I try to erase it.  The email address was cancelled about 10 years ago so I can't do a password recovery.  Does anyone know how to get around this?  I can't use my reader and uninstalling and reinstalling gives me the same problem

I am unable to open my eBooks on my bookshelf. I purchased the eBooks off booktopia. Hello,I am receiving this error message since update Mac OS X 10.13.4As a result I cannot open the book I just bought ....I deleted the activation.dat file but every time I register I get the same error again and again.I removed the DAT file,  reinstalled the 4.5.7 and same error.I am lostBest Regards

I just want to read my purchased book! I have the acsm link downloaded in my computer and IT WON'T LOAD MY EBOOK. Why? I only have 2 books on Digital Editions and it won't open either of them because it says they are corrupted. I tried to download it on my Ipad but it won't even let me sign in with my Adobe ID. Why aren't you Adobe people helping a little? You don't even have an e-mail to contact about our problems. I have just paid for an ebook I won't even read and I can't get a refund. So please, if anyone has any idea, please share it.

I have downloaded and installed ADE. I have downloaded an ebook from a website. Usually when I double-click on it, it opens up with ADE directly. This time, instead of that it's trying to install ADE again although it's already installed.

I just downloaded Digital Editions and attempted to login to authorize my computer.  I receive a message back  AUTHORIZATION SERVER ERROR: code E_Auth_Not_Ready  Digital Editions encountered an error on the activation server.

I have just purchased 5 books from Kobo as I always do, downloaded them so I can have them on my ereader so I can read them with digital editions but there is one that just will not work.Doesn't matter how many times I download it I just keep getting this message.  All of the other books have worked fine.  Very frustrating because the one that won't work is the first in the series

Hi!  A little more than a year ago, I downloaded Photoshop Elements 15, but didn't make a backup copy. My computer crashed, and I have had to reload all my software, but I don't have Elements. I DO, however, have my Serial Number from the original download. Is there anything I can do to get the software back without having to purchase it again?Thank you in advance for your answer!

Hello, I have downloaded some epub books onto Adobe 4.5.7. When i close and reopen Adobe, the library is gone. When i try to redownload the book, Adobe does not allow me. I can't get my books back, libray keeps disappearing...Can someone help me?

I keep receiving this following message when I try to download a book from my library. Unable to download, error getting License. License server communication problem: E_ACT_NOT_READY. I am aware that multiple people have had this issue and the following was suggested:De-authorize your Adobe ID and re-authorize. however, of course, when It ry to de-authorize my computer says: unable to erase authorization; try again after some time. I then tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. This was working a few weeks ago and now....I'm extremely frustrated, as I imagine many of you are as well. Why is this the only option out there to download library books? It's insane! This is supposed to be an easy way to be able to read and relax. Needless to say I have now spent hours on this issue and feel the furthest from relaxed as one can feel.

I have a textbook I've been using all semester without problems. All of a sudden parts of some pages are missing. They appear blank but when i scroll past them some text will show up as I scroll.Has anyone encountered this or know how to fix it?

Hello, i've been trying to download ebooks to do university work and every time i download without fail, even tried the free ebooks adobe provide on the site to instruct how to download ebooks, it instead downloads ADE? It won't download the books at all, just a link to install it again and again when i already have it installed. I've uninstalled it, reinstalled, restarted my laptop etc and nothing seems to be working?Please help

New computer. Downloaded ADE. New Nook Glow light3. Borrowed book successfully from public library to ADE. Unable to transfer to nook. Both are authorized. Error message.  Do I Need to download something else beside ADE?

I've tried everything I could find on the forums, and nothing works.I have the latest version of ADE (4.5) and I work on Mac OS Sierra 10.13.4I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, tried to delete the ''activation.dat'' thing, etc.The reason I want to deauthorize is I have another problem: I'm not able to authorize my KOBO eReader (error message E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_DEY).Anyone can help me?
