Digital Editions

Hello! I bought a book on Google Books, downloaded it to my Mac, and now I want to transfer it to my wife's Pocketbook. I installed the latest version of Adobe Digital Editions, but when I try to load the book for conversion, the program throws an error. I registered with my Adobe account, but I suspect that since Google is the book provider, I should log in with the Google account I used to purchase the book. However, I can't log into my Google account in ADE—it keeps saying the password is incorrect, even though I'm entering it correctly. As a result, I can't do anything. The ADE program itself also looks strange. I'm attaching screenshots. I have already contacted support but have not yet received a clear positive response to solve the problem. I still don't understand how to change the language in the ADE program. The program itself looks odd; there are no "File" or other tabs. I'm not sure if this is relevant, but I'll mention it.

I am using Adobe Digital Edition 2.01 on Windows XP.  I download books from my local library to my Kobo EReader.  I have been doing this for more than 2 years now, and no problems until today.  Now I am getting the following message: Unable to download Error getting License License Server Communication Problem E_STREAM_ERROR    Has anyone else had this problem....anyone with a solution???

I right click on the downloaded link in my downloads file - Digital editions - which is open - does not show as an option.What please should I do next.I am a neurologically disabled computer dope who has difficulty following lengthy sequences.I have used Digital Editions before and have several books downloaded, including one that I also purchased as an epub version.

I used Digital Editions 4.5 last week with no issues. Today I tried to transfer a new book from my library to my Kobo Clara BW but the ADE would not open. I've tried the troubleshooting I've found online, i.e. running as adminsitrater, uninstalling and reinstalling the programme, renaming the DE folder ( a new one was created when trying to launch the programme) and I've als0 tried compatibility mode with older versions of  windows. I'm running Windows 10 on my laptop. The only step I have not tried is stepping back to version 3 because I was forced a couple of years ago to upgrade. Is anyone else having issues or can recommend anything further to try Thank you Steve

                    Have Adobe Digital Editions 3.0.  Purchased textbook through Google play.  Opens on my laptop (Toshiba L505), android phone, and iRola android tablet.  Syncs "last page read", but does not sync my bookmarks or highlights.  Does anyone know if or how this can be done?  Please help.

Hello.Just bought a bunch of ebook.Digital edition was working fine up untill the point that it stoped displaying anything. I have uninstall-installed the app three times now, including removing all folders related with the app. The issue  perssists, the app is running but no output is shown on my screen. Please help.Tks for your time.

L'ho disisntallato e reinstallato ma adesso si apre ma non contiene gli ebook protetti collegati al mio account e non mi fa scaricarne altri. Ho anche provato ad uscire dal mio account e a rientrare ma il problema rimane, cosa devo fare per farlo ripartire? 

Bonjour, Je suis avec macOS Big Sur 11.1 et j'ai une liseuse Kobo Clara HD.J'ai téléchargé Adobe Digital Edition version 4.5.11, j'ai emprunté un livre à ma bibliothèque que j'ai lu sans problème. Depuis, je suis incapable d'ouvrir les prochains livres. Je peux les lire sous ADE sur mon ordinateur, je peux les glisser dans ma liseuse, mais une fois débranchée, en cliquant sur un livre, ma liseuse me dit "votre liseuse n'est pas autorisée à ouvrir ce livre... protégé par DRM".  J'ai supprimé ADE et tous les fichiers associés, ai nettoyé mon mac, et réinstallé le tout, 3 X. Impossible d'installer la version 3 d'ADE (ne semble pas supportée par la version de mon mac).J'ai parcouru les idées des forums précédents et solutions proposées par différents programmes, rien ne fonctionne. Quelqu'un a une idée ?

HI adobe support, Please help to reset the number of machines allowed by each Adobe ID.  I need it to be reset so that I can authorize my Kobo reader to Adobe Digital Editions. thanks,  

I'm running version 4.5.12.112 on a Dell using Windows 11. The software will not remember my last page read on any book. Each time I have to use a post-it note on my computer to track where I am with the book. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Dear support,I try to deploy ADE 4.5 silently with the following command but a window popup comes up and ask me if I want to include Norton Security: ADE_4.5_Installer.exe /sI red on this post a solution that seems not working anymore:Re: Adobe Digital Editions 4.0.3 mass install...It says to add some reg keys before running the install silently.In my case, I still get the popup window so I can't use this method to mass deploy this update.Do you have another switch command or reg keys to avoid this behaviour please?Thank you in advance,

I have a problem with Adobe Digital Editions and when I went to the Adobe "help" site I wasdirected to input my problem, deposit $5.00 and I would be answered by a technician.  Instead of an answer I got a request for another $38.00.  JustAnswer seems to be aAdobe site, but they also appear to be a scam!

On the page FAQ | Adobe Digital Editions it shows that I need to contact support to get the number of available authorizations reset. I was told in the live chat that I need to post that I need this on the forums, and that was the only way to get the limit reset. So could the Adobe representative who sees this post reset the limit of DRM authorizations on my account and, if possible, remove this limit altogether.Thanks in advance,Keith

Hola todos: Compré un nuevo libro y cuando, descargo el archivos de extensión  *.acsm y lo ejecuto, sale el siguiente mensaje: "Se ha detectado un error de conexión Digital Editions no ha podido conectarse al servidor de suministro. Asegúrese de que está conectado a Internet".Si tengo conexión a internet, no puedo leer el libro en ADE en mi PC,.Por favor ¿qué puedo hacer para resolver el problema?

Now that ADE is unsupported, a situation that probably has caught many of us by surprise, one can't authorize new systems and systems that ran a few weeks ago, now don't. Does anyone have a working solution? I tried ADE 3.0, 4.0 and several 4.5 versions. All fail with the same error of not finding the authenticaton server. Could there be issues with the recent 2FA activation or with password complexity? Is there another windows application that does what ADE used to do very well? Thanks,Bob

Hi There/Sir/Mam, We have created a ebook with some interactivity, for Ex. slides, and tooltip popups. But We see thet the fuunctionality is not working when ebook is opened in ADE on windows. Please note everything is working fine when checked on ADE on Mac machine. and also on other ebook readers. So Just wanted to check what is problems with ADE platform on windows environment. 

Hello,i'm doing a serie of books on ePub3 format.I'm including some basic scripting on certain files, particularly a JS script called "balance-text", tha uses Jquery for compensating the lines of headers when they spread on more than 1 line.it works fine on serveral e-readers, including ADE for MacOS...but on WIndows, latest version of ADE, the result is weird: it renders only the first word of the headers that has a "balance-text" class which is the trgger for the script to work.again. it works well on ADE-Mac,  but not on windows.any idea on why is this so, and if it is possible to solve it?thank you!pablo nollaa DropBox link to the file is availblle on request..

Javascrips does not work on ADE. Is there a possibility that Adobe make also scripts available for ADE. If yes, In the early future?

Bonjour,  Lorsque je lance ADE, toutes mes Biblioroms ont disparu (même celles de base), j'en créé donc une nouvelle qui prend le nom "Bibliorom sans titre 5", ce qui me montre que d'autres Biblioroms existent avant celle-là, mais je n'y ai pas du tout accès.J'ai tenté de désinstaller le logiciel et le réinstaller, mais on dirait qu'il garde en mémoire les anciennes Biblioroms. Ce qui est gênant car j'ai déjà ajouté des livres sur des Biblioroms et je ne peux plus travailler avec ces mêmes livres car ils sont considérés comme étant déjà dans la bibliothèque. Si je créé une Bibliorom et que je relance mon logiciel, la Bibliorom disparaît.  Comment est-ce que je pourrais retrouver une installation propre, sans Bibliorom, sans livres insérés, sans rien en fait, quelque chose de réellement propre? Je vous remercie.

Hello!   My epub file created in InDesign is being rejected by my distributer with this message: [ERROR]OEBPS/9780997113129_ALCGG_Jan_2016_ePub_v3-7.xhtml: 26,80: value of attribute "src" is invalid; must be a URI   I don't know what this means or how to go about fixing it. I am not technical so if someone is so kind to reply, I would appreciate it if you could pretend you were talking to a young child...speaking a foreign language.   Warmly, Dawn

I just upgraded to the newest version of Digital Editions, and since my physical location is China atm, that made Digital Editions download in Chinese on my computer. I really do not want Chinese as the language for this application -- how do I change it?Thanks!
