I recently Purchased a textbook i need for a college class. it was working great until i tried to access it today. When trying to open it i got an Unknown Permission Error. I paid for the book and did not rent it. Any idea why i am getting this error?

All is set up. ADE installed on computer, Ereader authorized, connected by USB cable. On the computer shown under (D), but I still do not see the reader in ADE library. How to solve this?

Hello, Her is my scenario,i use the adobe digital edition for windows 4.5.2i have opened the acsm url link to download the ebook but before download  finish the ade app crash,after that i have downloaded another acsm file to re-download my interrupted downloadthe download is complete, and ebook open fine,i discover the issue when using ADE iOS APP,when i authorize my device my cloud library contain two file with same titleHow i do to remove the duplicate fileThanks

I'm getting strange inconsistent errors with an ePub I'm currently building for a client. In iBooks all elements work fine as intended, but when you view it in ADE (Adobe Digital Editions) that where strange problems occur. I'm running all latests versions of Adobe Indesign and ADE.I have heard from my Adobe trainer that there are know bugs with the latest ADE/indesign updates causing these issues and that I'm not the only one experiencing problems. So, here is what I'm experiencing with the latest updates:ADE on Mac:•     Strange zoom state view when moving from page to page using in-built navigation buttons (see video 'ADE_Mac test')•     Web links do not work at allADE on PC:•     Error message when opening web links. Cannot read e-books with Adobe Digital Edition. Errors while opening the book.

Todo funcionaba bien con el Adobe digital editions, hasta que de pronto no me deja abrir ningun ebook y me sale el error: " se han encontrado errores en el elemento". Estoy usando la misma maquina desde el inicio, No he cambiado de maquina. ¿Que puede ser? Ayuda.

Hi, all--I have searched the forums and not found this question answered.When I purchase an e-book (on Google Play), I can usually download either epub or pdf versions. PDF books are not searchable in Adobe Digital Editions. The same book is searchable when I download the epub version, and if I add another pdf to my ADE library, it is searchable. It's just the books purchased on Google Play.The problem is, I just bought a book that I need for my research and it is only available in PDF--no epub. The book is searchable in Google Play. But I will need to read it at times when I do not have wifi access (plus, having books all over the place wreaks havoc with my note-taking workflow).Is this a known problem? How could a pdf not be fully featured in an *Adobe* product?Solutions, workarounds, or sympathetic consolation welcome (in that order). J'ai téléchargé et désinstaller plusieurs fois adobe digital edition 4.5.7 et à chaque fois c'est toujours la même erreur que je reçois. Erreur de permission inconnue. Est-ce que quelqu'un à eu une réponse?

Recent heb ik de autorisatie op de e-reader echter verwijderd.In de zelfhulp kan ik nergens een oplossing vinden. Ik het het volgende geprobeerd:- de-installeren en herinstalleren ADE (meerdere malen, inclusief schonen registry)- reset van e-reader- opnieuw opstarten pcKan iemand mij helpen?Alvast dank.Groet,Edvard

When I try to drag an acsm file to ADE I get an error message: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER. I have tried to deauthorize ADE and authorize again but get the same error message. I have used this process for at least five years when buying ebooks, using ADE to get the epub version, removed the DRM and then used Calibre to convert to MOBI. A couple of days ago it suddenly did not work.Any suggestions?Tried to uninstall and install again and load down a new book. Now ADE tries to download content but does not fulfill, stops at 99% and continues running.

Quand je le passe dans le logiciel pour conversion et lecture, j'obtiens le message suivant "Téléchargement impossible ...": J'ai déjà supprimer l'autorisation de mon compte puis remis, redémarré le logiciel, rien n'y a fait. Hi!I work for a Health and Sciences Publisher selling eBooks and our customers experience the following issue:Most of them have been able to download the book content on ADE, even navigate once or twice; but since a few days they have been unable to open the downloaded book on ADE 4.5.7. Some of them switched to ADE 3 in hope they'd be able to access the content once again but it does not work either,They do receive messages telling them about downloading of the license, or about an unknown permission error (it's in french, I do not know the wording in english). It looks like they can access the eBook properly only for a few days and then everything is expired. As anyone experienced the same problem ? Would an Adobe Expert be able to look into this ? Why can't I transfer library book from computer to e reader?

I have installed digital editions and when I try to add a book downloaded from my local library I keep getting an error message "Error getting licence.  Licence server communication problem  E_Auth_Bad Device_Key_or_PKCS12"    Can anyone help me with this problem - I am using Windows 10RegardsSeaside

This is an odd issue that I am having with a few users but not everyone. When they originally save certain word docs as .docx then try to to convert them to .pdf for posting the converter fails to create the pdf in Adobe DC Pro, in save as a .pdf, or print as a .pdf. If we try renaming the doc to something else as a .docx it still doesn't work. However, if we take that same document and save as a word 97 - 2003 .doc file it will convert without any issues. Now this is only happening with a few users and not everyone if they send the same .docx file to me I can convert it without any issues or the need to save it as a .doc but if I save it on my computer, rename, and send it back to them they still cannot convert it as a .docx file. Its one of the most random issues that I have run into with converting to .pdf and I would really like to know if there is a fix aside from saving as a .doc. I have two books that used to open fine now neither will.  It says that the files are missing  BUT -The files are located in the proper location  -- /my digital editions -- .If I go into the folder and click on it directly  Adobe acrobat pro opens up and tells me the document requires DRM features and asks if I want to open it in Digital Editions.  When I say yes Another dialog box open and says unable to open - Errors were encountered in this item.This program used to work fine but have not used it in a while.  No changes to the OS or other issues.Please help.

I am a librarian and publishers send me advanced reader's copies of upcoming releases to help me with collection  development  and yesterday when I opened one of the books I downloaded, the loading symbol kept on going for nearly three hours and the book just will not open. I tried another book, did the same thing. Tried UninstallING and reinstall  and nothing changed. I also tried restarting my device and nothing happened. Is the app down? I hope this issue is resolved so I can order more books for my patrons. Thank you!

Hello, I ordered books and was able to download them via adobe digital editions. However for some reason I keep getting this issue when I try to open the books. "RET_RECORD_CORE_INVALID_CLIENT_CERT  Client certificate used with Digital Editions is invalid. You will not be able to use all the features available in this application!"

I had a new hard drive installed in my computer and need to authorize with my Adobe ID  for 'Overdrive' but when I do so I have the message that says :" you can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't been previously used by any other computer or mobile devices. Please try again."

Hello:I have recently downloaded an ebook with a file extension of .acsm. When I open the file's content is being downloaded in Adobe Digital Editions, an epub file is created. An image of the cover of the book is shown along with information about the publisher and number of pages. However, a window appears immediately afterwards saying: "Unable to open the book; Errors were encountered in this item file:///C:/Users/....."What steps can I take to solve this problem?Many thanks and regards,Azza
