Digital Editions

Ever since I ran the recent update for ADE I have been getting error messages.  They pop up every time I turn on my computer.  The first one is:C:\Users\[my user name]This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action.  Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel.I click 'OK' on this one (my only option), and then this message pops up:Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.7 SetupThe installer requires administrative access, aborting.I've uninstalled and reinstalled ADE, I've ran the program as the administrator, but nothing has changed.These messages also pop up when I try to download another program completely unrelated to Adobe.  I'm not able to finish any other download at the moment, I just get the messages, then whatever it is crashes.What do I do?

I'm trying to download ebooks rented from my library through Overdrive onto my Nook using Adobe Digital Editions...my nook is not registering as a device. Someone please help! Thank you!

I am trying to view a ebook on digital editions and it is not displaying content in most of the pages, any ideas?I have been talking to the publishing company and it is the current version of Adobe causing the issue so I have uninstalled and installed an older version so it will display the content fully.

Ho disinstallato e reinstallato più volte la versione più recente per windows ma continua a bloccarsi. ADE has an extremely old email address on file for me.  I don't know the password and can't any option to reset--of course that would probably send an email to the bad address.  Is there another way to de-activate the account?  I have a Nook (1st edition) that seems to be working great other than I can't move my library materials over to it.  Help!

I cannot stop Digital Editions 4.5 from "downloading" books that I didn't even download (I saw them once on the "free books" page but did not download them because I already had them from other, authorized sources). I have followed all of the other instructions (unchecking the automatic-download box, deleting the My Digital Editions folder, etc.) except for "use an old version of ADE"... because any older version of ADE does not work with Overdrive lending-library downloads (the only reason I ever use this piece of crapware). What makes it worse is that trying to remove the "downloaded" book from the "Library" inside of ADE also deletes actual borrowed-from-the-library books.I refuse to set up new Digital IDs or anything else, because everything is linked to my lending library's account and Adobe's interface software doesn't allow the lending library to change the Digital ID — it instead requires establishing an entirely new account at the lending library (and this is a common Overdriv

I have an Adlibris Letto reading pad from Sweden. I bought a book from google play store and after purchase dragged it into the library of the Letto via Adobe Digital Edition. Its in the library like every other book, but when I try to open the book, it says a message "Unit authorization is needed to access Adobe DRM-protected content". The account is authorized on me jakobtegstrom1@gmail.com, but it still says this message. My sister bought this pad for me for present, maybe her account is linked to this? Maybe that the pad is aouthorized to my sisters account, but the purchase on google stands on me instead and when I try my sisters account it doesnt match with the vendor ID from google play. Please contact me ASAP.

I authorized yesterday  my moms laptop and today I wanted to do the same with my dads but but this showed up:"you can only authorize this computer with an adobe ID that hasnt been previously used to authorize any other computer or mobile devises. Please try again."What does that mean? How long I have to wait? Right now we have 4 devices that are athorized with that ID..why can't I authoriize a fifth one?

I purchased a book in pdf format. The book opens in Adobe Digital Editions.When I highlight text and copy, the PASTE command is shaded grey. How can I select text and paste?Thanks,Paul

Digital editions no longer allows me to authorize my ebook (when I click on the gear logo next to "device", everything is in light grey). This is not a new device, it is on the list of supported ebooks and it worked up until a few weeks ago (but out of the blue my authorization stopped working so I've had to uninstall and reinstall the software).  I have managed to get digital editions working again but I am unable to get it to allow me to authorize my ebook.  What I have done so far: - uninstalled and re-installed digital editions (several times)- factory re-set my ereader (several times)- tried using a different ebook - the problem persists- tried on another computer - did not resolve the issue- physically deleted adobe digital editions from my ereader, factory reset the ereader, and uninstalled/reinstalled digital editions- I also deleted the adept key from my computerI have had never ending issues with my digital edition authorization for a while now and I've been able to

We have just bought an e reader (Kobo Aura e reader) and need to download Adobe Digital Editions.  We do not have a Windows or Mac operating system. Can anyone help us with loading ADE onto our Chromebook?

Hello,I first opened adobe ID with a wrong ID  dadesina@yahoo.com instead of dadesina43@yahoo.com and I have donwloaded an ebook titled: Governace, risk and ethics with the wrong email because I was able to remeber the password but when I forgot the password and needed to reset it, it became a challenge because the email address I first used does not exist (or I dont have acces to it). Kindly check your records to verify (I used this computer to register the first (wrong) one) and help me to either delete the one with the wrong mail or merge the account with the correct mail (dadesina43@yahoo.com) which I have already used to open adobe ID so that I can be able to share the ebook with my laptop.Regards.

I have tried numerous times to install and use Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.  But each time, after what appears to be a successful installation, I double-click the ADE icon ... and nothing happens.  Can someone give me some help?

my kobo ereader used to work fine, but now it keeps telling me the device is not authorised. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program, deauthorised and reauthorised, all without success. I'm at my wits end. Do I go back to hard copy????

For the first time I have borrowed eBooks from my library. I installed ADE on my lap top today, and from what I can tell the books should automatically show up there, but they do not...how can I fix this? I am trying to get the books in my Kobo reader.Thanks!

I have a PocketBook Touch Digital Reader and have downloaded ADE.  Have connected PocketBook by cable to my computer I can see my PocketBook on my Desktop.  The purchased book is in my iBooks folder but I can not get the book from iBooks folder into the PocketBook by dragging it either onto ADE or into the PocketBook Folder.I want to synchronise all book purchases to read on PocketBook as well as Macbook and iPad.Please assist with simple instructions as have spent many frustrated hours trying to follow help on Adobe, PocketBook and Apple which are so difficult to understand and do not work.I also have many unread books in Kindle folder on my iPad.  How do I transfer these to PocketBook??

When I was downloading my books from my local library on my Asus PC I was not having any problems.But now I'am using a MacBook Air (Apple).  And I have two problems.FIRST PROBLEM: When the book is under reservation I'am not getting an Email advising me that my book is available and ready for download.  I have contacted my local library and according to them everything is OK. I'am using a KOBO.  My wife has an old Sony Reader and she is getting her Email from the local library on the Asus PC without problems.SECOND PROBLEM:  In my KOBO library on the  MacBook Air.  I have Ghost Images (like a cloud) of old books that I have read.  I'am been told that this is created Adobe.  And even if I delete them they are still getting back when I'am re-opening my Adobe digital edition.
