I have bought a new PC - Windows 10. I have downloaded ADE and authorised the PC. I bought a new book and downloaded to PC. ADE cannot open this book. I get the following error message:"Unable to open "xxxx"(title of book)Errors were encountered in this itemfile:///C:/Users/ASK/Downloads/......(details of filename)Is it Kobo, Adobe or me?

Hey guysI'm having a lot of trouble erasing a computer authorization. We are using Adobe Digital Editions on our computers at work, and on one of the computers, there is an old account still logged in. Now, I want to erase that login, so a new employee can log in with his information, but the program won't let me. Even though im writing the Passeword to the Adobe ID, it just sas "unable to erase authorization." Would it help to completely delete the old adobe account? We have no use for it right now, as the employee isn't with us any more.Kind regards!

I can't get ADE to open and run.I was having trouble with Kobo, so they gave me a new account, and merged my old one into it. This may be related to the ADE problem.

I have downloaded two books from kobo but forgot I had not installed ADE (new computer). Instead my OverDrive Library account grabbed the books and I wanted them on my Sony Reader. Realised my mistake and installed latest version of ADE and went to authorise book again and load into ADE and it falls over with book already authorised. how can I get the book into ADE and if necessary remove from OverDrive. I only use Overdrive for Library BooksAny help please?

I spent 45 minute waiting on the online chat and was then directed here for a solution, so I hope someone can help me. Way back when I had purchased a bunch of DRm'd books and signed up with Adobe to authorize them on my old Sony ereader. In late 2015 I downloaded some books from a library in Victoria which inadvertently used a different ID (CloudLibrary and what appears to be my old library card number) and these were authorized using Adobe Digital Editions. Right afterwards I abandoned Sony's reader software for ADE and all subsequent book purchases have been authorized using that CloudLibrary account.Today I downloaded ADE for my iphone and bought a book using my current Adobe account (the one I use with the CC suite) and subsequently discovered the whole mess. I would like to get them all back on one of my Adobe ID accounts so I can read them. Good evening, I bought an ebook a while ago from Feltrinelli, I installed Adobe Digital Edition 4.5, and I managed to open and read the file, using an account that I don't remember anymore, because I changed my Pc with a new one.Installing the Adobe Digital Edition 4.5 on my new PC, creating a new AdobeID account for it, and loading the .acsm file associated with the ebook bought by "Feltrinelli", the returned error is the follwing:E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER. HELP!!!! Activation Reset needed - we have 2 E-Books + 1 Laptop

I recently purchased an eBook which is protected by drm and when I try to open the file within Digital Editions 4.5 it immediately crashes. I have read that transferring the file to an external device is a good work around but that is not an option for me. Is there anything else I can do?

It works on my PC and on the web, but not on my Ipad.Please help.

I have Windows 7, mostly use Chrome, latest version.I have had Digital Editions for about a year or so. I got it specifically to download books, that will only downloadto it, not my Kindle or anything else.  I had downloaded the "getting started" booklet, and then I also downloadeda book I paid for. Everything was fine until just recently. I had trouble trying to even open the "getting started"booklet, which I tried after I couldn't open my book, my one book I have had a year. When I first bought thebook it worked fine on Digital Editions, the problem is now, when I tried to look up some info in the book,(it is for genealogy research), it will no longer open. I get error messages as others have described, triedto deactivate after not finding help under help at Adobe. Nothing works! I cannot deactivate it, I get anerror message that says to try later, I have tried for over a week, all after clearing my cache, nothing works.The book was not cheap, now I can not open it! Hi, can someone solve this problem, please. My computer is authorized for Adobe Digital Editions and it shows the account authorized which is my email address | Campus eBookstore.  Campus eBookstore is there because I have previously purchased a book from my school.  However, the books I have now are not through my school.  I can't remember my password, so when I ask for a password reset for the email address, I never get an email for the reset.

Help please! I have spent the last 6 hours with a digital rep from Adobe who was remotely controlling my mac. They basically said "well thats all I can do...go ask the forums" Needless to say I am SUPER frustrated! I bought CS5.5 Pro.Prem. about 5 years ago and now I am trying to put this on my new Mac. Everytime I put in my PAID FOR key code it says "invalid" Am I hopeless here? I mean, I spent 6 HOURS working with an adobe rep who verified all my info but they don;t know what to do. I tried calling the phone number but sat on hold with the music for 30 minutes. This is my last ditch effort to save a program I paid a LOT of money for...only to get little help from the company I bought it from.

Buenas, tengo el mismo problema que describe diazdaiana73.Compre un libro utilizando Adobe Digital Edition sin autorizar,luego en otra computadora instale y ahí (SI) autorice el programa,pero al querer leer los libros en esta segunda computadora, me da error de licencia.Vale aclarar que en la primer pc,donde estaba el ebook, fue reinstalado el sistema operativo, por lo cual no se puede acceder...Me interesa saber como puedo resolver este tema, ya que el libro que esta por detras de este problema, me es de gran utilidad.

I changed my Adobe authorised user name (my email) and now after having installed ADE I cannot erase my authorisation (actually my old user name appears).A message appears (since several days): Unable to erase. Please try after some time.Could someone help me?Thanks

I have quite a few books I purchased from Kobo over the years. I now have a new laptop, but when I try to download the books to the new computer, I get a message that says "Unable to Download. Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER"The other user is me, using my old laptop. How do I get the books on my new computer? Note, I have authorized both computers with Adobe. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling ADE. Now what?0

I don't know why, but the Bookmark button is greyed out and I don't know how to fix it.

Is there any chance to use Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.6 under Linux Mint 17.1 or do I need Microsoft Windows?

I've tried several times and using different downloads, zip, browsers, but ADE won't install correctly on my office Lenovo 64 bit ThinkPad.  Now what?It loaded perfectly on my private MacBook (Why the office moved away from Mac I'll never know) and my iPads, but not on my office machine, where I want it.

Hello,We're having some issues opening library's ebooks on the Kobo. The books are syncing up just fine, but when we go into the device's bookshelf, the error reads "your device is not authorized to read this book" (or something to that effect), even though the we have authorized it through ADE.  Also, in the bookshelf folder the downloaded book is displayed as a black thumbnail. Kobo's software version is 4.5.9587 and we're using a Adobe Digital Editions 4.5. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Ik heb - volgens Adobe D.E. - 98 boeken. Tenminste dat meldt de app (of wat het ook is) op m'n laptop. Op m'n Ipad heb ik er maar 25, waarvan ik er 13 niet kan downloaden omdat er geen contact met de 'fulfillment server' gemaakt kan worden en de app daar blijft vragen of ik wel met internet ben verbonden (ja dus). Dus 2 vragen: hoe krijg ik die 13 niet-te-downloaden boeken wél gedownload en hoe krijg ik de overige 73 boeken ook op m'n Ipad? Voor degene(n) die het antwoord op mijn vragen weten: alsjeblieft in jip-en-janneketaal, ik snap niet zo heel veel van digitale zaken. In elk geval alvast bedankt.
