Digital Editions

i have been using de for several years, have an older version, have windows xp professional, can't download an ebook (last time 2014 was successful), and installing new version 4.5 hangs.[Moved from the non-technical Lounge Forum to the specific Program forum... I purchased a study guide for a certification exam in November. It's DRM-protected. I downloaded it in the Overdrive app since I already had that for library books. It's in the Overdrive library but the files don't download. I followed the Overdrive instructions to delete cookies, uninstall/reinstall app, etc. Still having the same problem. Since I technically used Overdrive to download the book, I get an error message saying it's already been downloaded when I try to open it in a different app. Is there a workaround to solve this? Hello,I am getting this message `The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you care trying to open. Try again`I downloaded .epud files from my local library and now when I drag and drop them into Adobe Digital Editions I get the above error message.  This however, is very strange as about 2 days ago I was able to transfer a bunch of books to my kobo without any issues.I have read online forms and did what they suggested and the problem is still not fixed:-Reinstalll Adobe -Help -  Deauthorize and then reauthorize-try downloading the books againetc.any advice is greatly appreciated

So I'm trying to autorize both my computer and my iphone so I can have the same book on both device. My computer tells me I can't autorize more than 1 device at the same time, and my Iphone is autorized but not able to download the book since its already used by and unautorize device.... error code is E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER what should I do ?

I've been using ADE for quite some time now but recenty I can't open the program at all. As I click on the icon on my laptop, the main window opens but a few seconds later the program crashes and closes itself. I tried to uninstall it and install earlier versions, but the problem repeats again and again. I'm using the program on Windows Vista and mainly for opening acsm files. I would be grateful for any help, because right now I cannot access any of my books.Greetings,Izabella

Habe einen neuen Tolino, Fehlermeldung E_AUTH_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS. Versuche seit einer Woche wie vorgegeben per Community-Eintrag die Authentifizierungen zurücksetzen zu lassen - bis heute keine Antwort. Nach einer Stunde im Chat wieder aufs Forum verwiesen. BITTE UM SUPPORT und ZURÜCKSETZEN!!!

Hi, I created a Fixed Layout EPUB document using InDesign CC 2017 (Mac). When I open the EPUB document in both Adobe Digital Editions and iBooks it's great, the fonts works, images all in the correct places etc. When I open the document on my PC in Adobe Digital Editions 4,5,4 for Windows, the images etc are all fine and in the right places, but the fonts default to Arial and Times, the fonts used in the Mac document are Gills Sans and Baskerville (OpenType), why is this, can anybody help?

After transferring an eBook (borrowed from the public library) using Adobe Digital Edition to my Kobo eReader, (from my computer), each time i try to open it I get:"Oops! This document couldn't be opened. This document is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management and is not currently authorized for use with your Adobe ID. Please sign in with authorized Adobe ID and try again".I tried with different books, and Adobe verisions: 4.5.5, 4.3,  4.5.6. I erased authorization from both computer (in which the book is downloaded) and the Kobo device, and authorized again. Didn't help.Any suggestions?Thanks for your help,HenryG

Hi, ich möchte ein Buch auf einem neuen Gerät lesen. Anscheinend kann ich jedoch das Gerät nicht zu meiner ADE ID hinzufügen, weil schon sechs Geräte auf sie laufen. Meine Frage: Wie erhöhe ich diese Anzahl? Oder wen muss ich bestechen, damit der das für mich tut?Der Adobe Support ist diesbezüglich wirklich ein Witz.Vielen Dank für eure Hilfe im Voraus!MfG

Hello!I have 3 devices that are authorized to access my library, but they are not synchronising....What can I do?I have tried selecting "synchronise", I have tried to quit ADE and start it again, and I have deactivated and reactivated "automatic download" on all 3 devices.What am I doing wrong?

My Kobo reader will not open library books downloaded to ADE. It says not authorised. It worked fine until I got a new server.

I need to erase the authorization of Digital Editions on my computer, and then I am going to authorize it again.  However, when I attempt to do this, it requests my password first.  Unfortunately, it doesn't recognize my password which, by the way, I just changed through Adobe.Com.  Anyone out there have a suggestion?  Thanks.

I have a kobo Glo and I deactivated the ADE and now I don't know how to authorize it again? can anyone help me I've followed the set up guide to no avail.

Hello!I have just bought a book with an Adobe DRM protection, and while I was able to confirm my Adobe-Id on my Android, I was still unable to download the book.When testing the same thing on my computer, it says I need a software to read the file/open the link. In all honesty, I don't know where to start, as Adobe is already on the computer and this just seams like a reeeaally difficult way of doing things and maybe it's just me, but spending an hour on getting past a license issue after buying a product is really annoying. And problem is still unsolved.Help.

I have installed a  number of epub books from Google Play books into Adbobe Digital Editions (ADE).  One book, however, ALWAYS fails to download and the message "e_adept_document_type_unknown" is displayed.  I have uninstalled ADE and reinstalled.  I have deleted the epub book and re-downloaded.  All multiple times.  I can install other books from Google Play books, but NOT this particular book.  I spent an hour with Google support, and they finally said "talk to Adobe".  Help!

I speak english.  my computer interface is english.  why does this program default to spanish?there are no solutions available in the forums.  i have a suggestion.  add a drop down menu or preferences section where users can select which language they prefer.i really hope there's answer posted here soon.... or I'm going nuclear with Adobe... I am a cloud subscriber.

Hi, I recently changed laptops but have not changed my Adobe Digital Editions ID.I purchased an eBook from the Kobo website which shows up in my library, however when I try to downlaod to ADE I get the following errors;The vendor account is not associated with the item you are trying to openE_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USERI cannot seem to contact Adobe support (UK) for help and Kobo Support seem to have run out of ideas (change password, etc), therefore any suggestions I would be most grateful.Regards,Andy

Hallo zusammen,ich beschäftige mich schon einige Zeit mit der Adobe Digital Edition, bin aber bei manchen Dingen aber etwas frustiert. Davon mal abgesehen, dass ADE 4.5 für Mac ab und an mal abstürzt, fehlen mir einfach manche Funktionen oder ich finde sie nicht. Die Suchfunktion ist bei mir im Menü hellgrau, d.h. ich kann nicht darauf zugreifen und muss das gesuchte eBook immer mühselig mit scrollen suchen. Gibt es dafür eine Möglichkeit? Bin für jede Hilfe dankbar!Hat jemand Erfahrung damit gemacht, ob man in ADE auch eBooks umbenennen kann? Manchmal werden die Titel der eBooks nicht korrekt angezeigt, z.B. fehlen Buchstaben oder der Autor wird als Titel gespeichert. Mir ist schon klar, dass diese Übertragungsfehler meist beim Herausgeber der eBooks liegen. Weiß jemand, ob man diese eBooks umbenennen kann, ohne gleich das eBook zu zerschießen? Vielen Dank!

@I'm using a Nook Glow Light Plus and trying to borrow a library book.  When the book appears on my computer which i have connected to my Nook, the computer page will not recognize that my Nook is plugged into it and allow me to drag the book over to the Nook.  Can anyone help?

                         I have an old NOOK and together with ADE I was able to open ebooks. However, with my latest book downloads the books come into the NOOK but I can't open them because it says Author Unknown instead of the author's name. It  then says "sorry unable to open book" or it says "book returned". Anybody else experiencing this lately. I download from the New York City Public Library. Any advice?
