Digital Editions

I can download a recent book from google play, but when I try and open it using Digital editions so I can read it I keep getting ' e adept document type unknown' error. Am using ADE 4.5 (just updated). Have tried deactivating and reactivating Adobe ID and still doesn't work. Have tried completely removing ADE from my PC (using registry etc) and nothing. Have tried deleting and redownloading the book a million times and it doesn't help. Have tried adjusting system date and time, and guess what? It doesn't help.Google say they can't help, and Adobe just refer me to these forums where I see that this question has been asked again and again since 2014 with no assistance.Please help.

Ｉam trying to authorize ADE with my Adobe ID.  And the following error message pop up.  I have contacted the supporting team.  However, they said that there is no active subscription under my Adboe ID account.  How to solve this issue, thanks!

Recently my computer froze and I was forced to re-install my Adobe digital edition. Although the ebooks reloaded automatically, I am unable to open them. It keeps asking for a vendor Id or an authorized Id. This includes books that I previously purchased not only rented books. Please help me to access it.

I am running Windows 7. I have an early Nook color tablet for reading ebooks from the library; an EPUB file is loaded to Digital Editions and then I transfer it to the Nook. Recently, some file appears to have been corrupted and the download to DE does not complete. Here is the screen with the error message. Things I have tried: I have deleted and reinstalled DE, I have done this several times and done it with both the current DE and the older ver. 1.72. I have located the overdrive file that appears in the error message and then downloading it again from the library. The Nook is fine with ebook downloads from Barnes & Noble and for digital magazine subscriptions. The only problem is with getting the Overdrive download from the library EPUB files. Any suggestions?

When I click on the file, the app opens and then nothing. There is no book in the library. Everything is correctly authorized. Then when I try on the computer with the SAME id, it says that the license is already used... Help... I have an exam tomorrow about the book...

I used my personal Adobe ID account when I purchased an e-book for my company to use in Adobe Digital Editions.  Is there a way I can transfer the book to another Adobe ID (a general one for my office) so they can use this login information versus my personal one?  If not, could I change my Adobe ID (email and password) for my office to use or will I lose access to the book?On a side note, this e-book was purchased through Amazon, so if I have to contact them I am not sure what they could do about it.Thanks!

For some reason yesterday, my ADE told me I had to authorize my computer, which has been authorized for a few years.  Why it's not now, I've no clue.  Anyway, I authorized it (in IE) using Overdrive as vendor and my email address and password.  My ADE now saying it's authorized, but my ADE says it's not.This is nuts!   I removed four borrowed Overdrive books from ADE (not return, that didn't work either), yet Overdrive shows I still have the books for another 12 days.I have no clue if I authorized it correctly, since I don't know exactly what a Vendor ID or Adobe ID is or where to find that info.Help?Thanks!

Okay after going through the adobe site for more than 2 days i am at a loss. I work for the local government and need to access to install on out internal network adobe e-reader which is free. the problem is all of the downloads want to install Symantec which we don't nor won't a;;ow. A while back we could download the free products with out the malware in bedded in it. How can I acquire a clean download of the adobe e-reader? Yes i know most people don't consider Symantec malware but I do.

I bought an Adobe Digital Editions Texbook and have been unable to access it. Every time I try to authorize any of my devices (most recently I have been trying my iPhone), I get an error message that reads "Digital editions could not connect to the activation server. Please make sure you are connected to the Internet." I only have a 12 month subscription to this book and have been trying to access it for a month! The employee on Adobe chat said I didn't have a subscription but I was currently signed on with my subscription and have not had subscription issues before. Please help!

I read a lot of books and keep downloading books that I've already read. It would be really nice if Digital Editions would keep a simple database of books that you have downloaded (to a particular account). I used to be able to find most books in C:/documents/my digital editions/annotations, but that somehow got messed up and also no longer seems to have the books I've downloaded.I'm using Digitasl Editions version 3.0.1 because newer versions do not work with my old Nook

Hi, i have downloaded a PDF / ebook on my Laptop PC in ADE but i can not see it when i open my ADE app on another device / Android tablet PC. I don´t see it in my purchases / librarylist at all. Both devices are authorized with my Adobe ID and enabled for automatic Downloads.thanks for advice

When I want to Download ebook, The program starts downloading and than freezes

Using ADE 4.5.5. Dowloaded book from ebooks.com.The default font size seems to be medium and won't change when I select other sizes.

Hi,When opening the book inside the library it goes to download then goes to the end and the following error appears - I have uninstalled and deleted the corresponding files from Appdata etc but it's made no difference.Thanks

Permite la descarga de un archivo con extensión ACSM el cual al momento de abrirlo me tira el error:Error de E/S en Solicitud de red.Verifique la conexión de red e inténtelo de nuevo........Detalle del evento:Error #2038--- fin ---Una sola vez pude abrirlo y guardarlo en PDF, pero ese PDF al momento de abrirlo con Adobe Reader una ventana me anuncia:"Este documento necesita funciones de administración de derechos digitales (DRM) compatibles con las ediciones digitales de Adobe. ¿Desea abrirlo con las ediciones digitales ahora? Aceptar - Cancelar". Al momento de Aceptar me abre el Adobe Digital Editions y no muestra nada.El libro lo compré y, como dije, una sola vez pude obtener el PDF, y es el que quiero abrir. Hi there!I have used ADE to transfer my library books for years.  This year, I started having problems.  I am perfectly familiar with the programs, so it is not that I am not facilitating the transfers correctly.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled.  Unauthorized and reauthorized.  I have done this the short way in ADE and the long way through regedit.  I have tried running in Administrator vs User.... I tried to take a crack at it today and took the first immediately available book I could find to give it a go.  Again.  To no avail.  I was hoping you could assist me.  This is the error I am facing (note: I've removed my email address from the second picture, I do have a valid account.):Help would be great!  Because this has frustrated me enough to need a second cup of coffee. lol

Abro ADE, voy a la opción Agregar a la biblioteca y seleccione el archivo .acsm, que es el que he descargado  después de pagar un libro en una tienda online. Aparece un cuadro de diálogo que dice "Descargando (título del libro)" pero aparentemente no hay descarga. Tras unos pocos segundos el cuadro de diálogo desaparece y el PC entero se bloquea, de forma que tengo que reiniciarlo. Mi PC está autorizado y he incluido el Adobe Digital Editions para que Firewall permita la descarga. Por qué me sucede esto?.Gracias

Hello, By mistake I downloaded ADE without giving my ID so it has become impossible for me to transfer the books I have bought to my Bookeen.I have made numerous attempts to erase the ADE program and uploading it again, I have tried changing my ID, to absolutely no avail. My computer seems to be recognised by ADE as unauthorised to transfer ebooks to another device.HELP ! This is driving me utterly mad. I have bought an ebook device specifically for going on holiday on Friday and am unable to use it. If this cannot be solved by Friday I will definitely give up using this and ever going back to ADE.Please tell me how to solve this. I can try to go on live chat only on Friday 17th July morning if you will give me the link to the chat (can't find it on ADE website).Help please!
